Chapter 145 Anxiously Waiting

The truth was Cassie felt really worried. What if Mandy's sister had really been kidnapped?

"My name is Tina. Doctor Zhou knows me. She treated me and Nana to a meal at a restaurant a few days ago," Tina said. Her face projected an earnest expression.

"Okay, Tina. Follow me," Cassie instructed her. In a hurry, Cassie accompanied Tina to the elevator.

Meanwhile, in the operating room, Mandy was performing highly complex heart surgery. For her surgery, Mandy had Jamie as the assistant and Allen as the anesthesiologist. Many doctors, including the hospital's dean, had taken the time to watch the operation Mandy was performing.

Each doctor had their own techniques to execute this type of surgery. Mandy had learned her technique when she was studying in the university under Dr. Elizabeth, a prominent icon in cardiology.

The first time Mandy stepped into an operating room, she didn't even dare take the scalpel. She was really nervous then. When it was finally time for her to handle the scalpel, she could remember her hands heavily shaking. Luckily for Mandy, Dr. Elizabeth saw her potential and often took her into her surgeries.

It took Mandy a whole semester to get over her fear and anxiety. By the time she reached her second year, she had already become Dr. Elizabeth's assistant. As a medical student, she cherished every opportunity Dr. Elizabeth had given her. It was so difficult for a medical student to actually get some hands-on practice, but Mandy was lucky enough to have Dr. Elizabeth as her mentor.

By her second year at the university, Mandy had skipped through a whole grade. Her grades were really impressive. She was really working hard to be a top-class student. She was so excellent that sometimes she just relied on self-teaching. While her colleagues were having a good time, she was reading her books and watching operations.

Mandy had studied in the university for two years and then studied for another two years as a graduate student. Dr. Elizabeth was very proud of her. She even wrote JR Hospital's dean a letter to vouch for Mandy's excellence. After Mandy returned to China to wor

A tall man with yellow hair carried Fiona to Claire and Eve. The man said, "Claire, I have done what you've ordered me to do."

"Thank you, Brother. You can go now. The rest is up to us!" Claire said. Claire was pleased to see that Abelard did his job well. She took a thick stack of money from her handbag and handed it to Abelard. There was probably at least 100, 000 in cash.

Abelard took the money. "Claire, it was a pleasure doing business with you. I'm glad I could help," he said with a sinister smile. "And it's not about the money. I did it because you're my friend," Abelard added.

"Abelard, just take the money. I owe you a debt of gratitude. I really appreciate it, and you worked hard for this," Claire said. She knew that money could always get her anything.

After their transaction, Abelard took out an injection from his trousers and pierced the needle into Fiona's arm.

"This is a tranquilizer. She will probably wake up in half an hour. Be quick while I will stand guard outside," Abelard said to Eve.
