CHAPTER 61

The Martial Art This Lady Learnt Isn’t Something Only To Be Seen

“You only know about eating……” ShangGuan LingLan helplessly hung her head down. She followed Jing Yue and turned around leaving together.

Jing Zhan who had been looking down all along suddenly raised his head; his gaze fell on a flash of silhouette among the crowd. It was obviously only a glimpse, but it made Jing Zhan’s heart trembled; he seemed to vaguely see the silhouette of his deceased wife.

“Uncle Lu, I felt like I saw A Yun’s silhouette a moment ago.” Jing Zhan’s fists were tightly clenched when he spoke.

Hearing Jing Zhan’s words, the hands of Uncle Lu who was pus.h.i.+ng the wheelchair trembled and sorrow was exposed in his eyes. Without answering Jing Zhan’s words, he spoke softly to remind him: “Eldest master, we’ll reach Prime Minister Residence soon.” Jing Zhan once again hung his head down.

He tightly closed his lips.

He certainly knew that what he saw was not real, but he couldn’t help but longed for his wife.

Jing Zhan’s gaze fell on his wasted legs, his eyes were filled with grief.

Jing Yue and ShangGuan LingLan, the two persons found a small stall and just like that, they sat to eat noodles. Originally, Jing Yue still thought that ShangGuan LingLan wouldn’t be used to eat on this kind of small stall; she was really stunned; she had never expected that ShangGuan LingLan was actually a regular guest on this noodle stall. She was even very familiar with the boss.

“I still thought you guys these mighty young ladies abhor eating these kind of things the most.” Jing Yue’s eyes showed both happy and surprised expression after she ate a big mouthful of noodles from the bowl; ‘sure enough, it’s delicious!’

“Hehe…… I often run out of the house and come with my brothers here to eat noodles. It isn’t because I couldn’t eat this in my home; it’s just that every time I sneaked out, I always feel that there is some kind of extremely interesting feeling; sitting on the same table as everyone, meeting new people from time to time.” ShangGuan LingLan heartily ate.

“Haha…… If those people from some poorer families hear your words, you’ll definitely be beaten to death.” Jing Yue burst out laughing and spoke.

“Who’ll dare to beat me!? The martial art this lady learnt isn’t something only to be seen.” ShangGuan LinLan raised her eyebrows and scoffed coldly.

Jing Yue bluntly jeered at her; the two persons’ bickering became more and more cheerful and light-hearted that even the noodle stall’s boss couldn’t help but laugh with them. Once they finished eating, the two people went back together, feeling they got a lot closer than before. Suddenly, Jing Yue also felt that she was living somewhat smoothly in this different era.

The sky was already dark by the time Jing Yue went back to the w.a.n.gfu. She quickly washed her face and then lay on the bed, feeling absolutely content. However, her expression turned bad straight after she pulled her sleeve open and saw her purple elbow.

‘This d.a.m.n Jing Yan! Harmed me to fall on a rocky road! This elbow is all blue from the fall!’

‘Don’t know whether there is another place that turn blue or not.’

Thinking like that, Jing Yue simply took her clothes off, sitting on the bed wearing only a small dudou. Jing Yue twisted her body trying to see whether there was a part that got b.u.mped on her hips; after looking carefully, she indeed saw there was a purple part above her hip bone. Jing Yue reached out trying to press it for a bit and instantly cried out in pain.

It couldn’t be felt if it wasn’t touched; how could it be so painful once it was touched?

“What are you doing?” Xiao Chen spoke; his whole face went black when he saw Jing Yue sat on the bed without her clothes.

“Aiya!” Jing Yue was scared. She glared at Xiao Chen and said: “You! Why aren’t you making any sound when you walk!?”

“I’ve knocked.” Xiao Chen walked towards Jing Yue; when he saw the purple bruise on her elbow, his expression went cold at once. Suddenly, he moved forward and pulled Jing Yue’s arm and said: “Who did it?”

“A?” Jing Yue was a bit dumbfounded. She stared at the bruise on her elbow and said: “I fell down, it got knocked.”

“Just walking on a street you could fall down?” Xiao Chen’s hold over Jing Yue’s arm tightened.
