That arrow streaked across the girl’s hand and steadily went on to pierce the ground. Appalled, the girl stared at the arrow; almost half of it was already embedded in the ground. Her heart was terrified.

“Who!” Yin Jian turned over and rose in a flash, its cold green eyes stared at a man holding a bow. A black robe covered his whole body; his hand was holding the still raised bow.

“Arfffff……” In one jump, Yin Jian had stood in front of the girl’s body. Its erect ears, its panting breath, they were enough to prove that Yin Jian was angry. The man was stunned by this strange event he saw, at the grey wolf, and then at the girl who he just saw pulling a dagger out with a murderous intent in front of him. Even with his many experiences, he still couldn’t understand the scene in front of him.

Complete silence, two persons and one wolf looked at each other for a long time, yet no action was taken. They were unexpectedly caught in a stalemate. The girl slowly shifted her gaze and gently squatted down to stroke Yin Jian’s head. That intimate gesture fell into the man’s eyes and made him squinted his eyes. This gray wolf was actually raised by this girl?

“Master!” another shadow emerged and leaned towards the man to block. Killing intent was there, across his whole face, as he stared at that one person one wolf team.

Two groups stood against each other, heavy killing intent started to spread into the surrounding air. Aware of the noise of the fireworks signal rising into the sky, the two tense men’s complexions became more solemn. Silently glanced at that one person one wolf team, the two men left with flying speed.

“Tch, leave really quick.” the girl slowly released a relieved breath, her nerve that had been taut all along finally loosened down. She raised her hands to rub the furry body of the gray wolf at her side, doubt flashed in her eyes; she had lived at this place for fourteen years, and all these years, she had never met even one living person that was able to enter the inner depth of this forest.

Her name was Jing Yue and it had already been fourteen years since she first arrived in this strange era. Fourteen years ago, she had never believed in supernatural beings. However, that one scene of unexpected death had let her knew, there really was a thing called rebirth. Furthermore, she had truly understood the phrase ‘crossing through time’.

She, as Z country’s most classified secret service agent, had received the best training existed. She had become the most perfect killing weapon of the country. However, at the time when the country no longer needed this one weapon, the only possible thing to do was to eliminate her.

It was really lucky to say, the country had already no need for her.

Jing Yue, ever since she was born, was abandoned by her parents. She had been selected in the orphanage to be trained to become Z country’s secret service agent. Within twenty years of training and killing, she had lived without seeing any light.

For Z country that had never been genuine to her, for the assignment, she had acted as beggar, became a prostitute as well as disguised as a well-bred young lady form a distinguished family.

But none of this character was her real self.

At the time death approached, these were Jing Yue’s final strands of thoughts.

However…

Jing Yue sighed, stood up and went beside that fallen yellow deer; her face was still without any waves. When she had regained her consciousness, precisely fourteen years ago, she had been reborn as a baby, bearing all the memories of her previous life, lying beside a wolf. In a blink of eyes, fourteen years had passed, her small self grew up drinking wolf’s milk, grew up along beasts as her companies.

“Yin Jian, drag it away.” Jing Yue stood up, took the rope, tied it to the yellow deer’s head and placed it on the grey wolf’s neck. She commanded the gray wolf to walk forward.

“Awuuuuuu……” Yin Jian howled resentfully and glanced toward Jing Yue. Yet it accepted its fate, hung down his head and dragged the yellow deer forward.

At seven years old, Jing Yue went out of this big forest for the first time in her life. At that time she found out that she was actually no longer in the 21st century. This was an era which was not recorded in history, and no matter what, Jing Yue still couldn’t understand how this dynasty could possibly exist. But unexpectedly, Jing Yue didn’t feel flustered at all. On the contrary, there was a strand of difficult to express happiness and excitement bubbling in her heart.
