Chapter 284 - Yuan Meng Is Hiding Something!

In the living room, everyone sat on the couch while staring at the TV with their complete attention as the news reporter read the folder out which he was just handed.

"The department of security of the city has not found any evidence of the group being seen in the city and no one has reported any suspicious actions either, but still, it is recommended that the citizens should take care of themselves and don't allow any unknown people in their premise and should contact the Police as soon as they see anyone who is suspicious enough."

"And to talk about this group of men, they might be in a number of 10 or less, but you have to be aware that they might be carrying weapons, this infamous band of men have killed numerous people in various cities and are considered as Rank 1 Criminals, which might not faze out if they want to kill anyone even if it's a small child, so it is requested that everyone in the City is to remain alert and be careful of the people around you."

"And now for the identification of these men, you will find that they have many scars on their bodies and there might be some even on their faces and if you are not able to determine it with confidence then there is a unique tattoo on the back of their neck which looks like a Snake's fangs."

"We request all the citizens to be careful of the surroundings and don't send your children alone even you yourself go alone in some barren and lone places."

"The reporter stayed still with that and later an advertisement was shown."

Ye Qian's eyes narrowed as he thought of the things that the reporter had talked about before this news.

Though he thought that the people behind would try to hide the incident of the factory from everyone he didn't think that this would be done in such a clueless manner.

No one would even doubt if they were to hear the news of the factory since there were many truths mixed with the lies.

Ye Qian sighed in his heart while thinking of what and how they might have been able to set all this up, the people behind were for sure much more powerful and had a greater background if they had such a great influence even in the media and government.

He had lived for what many would call a millennium in the Cultivation world.

And though he liked being nice to everyone it didn't mean that he didn't understand how people tried to take advantage while others were down, he just wanted to keep thinking that everyone was good and then help everyone.

Even though he was simple and didn't understand much about women that didn't mean that he couldn't understand how the hearts of men would change even in the slightest period for no apparent reason.

And the reason he didn't understand much about women was also that he simply didn't want to, as he always had Yuan Meng in his heart.

Ye Qian sighed and glanced at Yuan Meng through the corner of his eyes.

He could feel the hopelessness and how sad she was, but she would still not open her heart to him.

And though that day he had removed the Gu out of her body, he had also found something which would only be called as a fortune or a curse in a human.

Though she had been trying to show that she was fine with Ning Wei living with them and even of her liking him, he could still feel the sourness and sadness she felt in her heart as she tried to hide it from him.

He could accept that she didn't want to talk much about her family and other things related to them but he won't allow a thing like this to happen.

From the moment Ye Qian came back, Yuan Meng's actions had been weird, he felt that she was deliberately trying to make Ning Wei get close to him and even sometimes forcing her even when she didn't want to after thinking about their relationship would take a turn for worse if she (Here Ning Wei) were to get close to them.

But still, Yuan Meng tried to force her by making her get close to him.

That was also the way Ye Qian stood up in order to help Ning Wei walk out, though that didn't mean that he didn't care for her but he still wanted to know something.

And the time he said so he could see Yuan Meng's heart tighten as tears welled up in her eyes.

But she quickly wiped them off even before Xiao Ya could notice them.

He wanted Yuan Meng to tell him anything that was bothering her no matter what the problem was, if it was someone he would just wipe them off or if it was anything else he would try to help her out of her predicament which made her behave in this manner that she was even willing for her husband to love some other woman.

He swore that if there was someone because of whom Yuan Meng was behaving like this then he would kill their whole bloodline.

No matter if it was against his heart of thoughts.

What mattered to him the most was the love of his life's wellbeing and not his ideologies.

What kind of use were his ideologies were of if he wasn't able to even help his beloved.

Ye Qian knuckles tightened as he thought with determination while looking at the sad and somewhat lonely looking Yuan Meng.

She could try to hide it from him but that didn't mean that he wasn't able to feel her.

Noticing that Ye Qian was looking at her Yuan Meng turned to him and smiled tenderly with love filled in them and there was something that Ye Qian could faintly see.
