Chapter 122: Elliot's New flame! Enchanted!

"Gorgeous lady, you are truly well-spoken," Elliot said while beaming towards her. He couldn't help it. He was attracted to her, not only because she was cute but also because out of all the people here, she stepped up to help him.

As this was his first time experiencing how it feels like to be helped by another and the lady who saved him was also cute, he had taken a liking to her.

His remarks made her smile, but he was able to relish that moment for only a second because she raised her hand and hid her smile with the long sleeves of her blue robes with cloudy patterns, appearing extremely graceful.

"Pretty boy, save those words for a young and naive girl. I am too old to fall for such flowery words. You won't be able to charm me, no matter what you utter using your silver tongue."

Able to tell that he was smitten with her by the look on his face, Lady Florence Love, a powerful lord of magic as well as a connoisseur of wine, said those words to let him know that he is too young for her and he should give up on any idea of chasing after her skirt.

"I honestly wasn't lying. I meant what I had said. That, I swear on my life. I am extremely thankful for your help, and I say in all honesty that you're the loveliest woman I have ever seen in my life," Elliot said as he raised his head to look her in the eyes and show her his honesty, and she was able to tell how serious he was towards her through the glow in his bright eyes.

Florence Love's heart fluttered in glee, and the tips of her ears turned red, one hidden by her hair and the other exposed for Elliot to witness. She blushed! Of course, she would after a young man praised her beauty with an honest and sincere look on his face. In the end, she was just a woman, say a few words to lift her mood, and she would come to like you.

"Pretty boy, stop flirting with me," Florence said before she turned around to hide the blush on her face and cleared her throat to suppress her embarrassment. "If you truly want to thank me, then get me a high-quality wine."

"Wine? Do you like wine?" Elliot asked.

"Yes, I do," replied Florence with a deeply intoxicated look on her face. "That's the only joy in my life. If someone gives me the best wine of my life, then I would give him myself."

Now that he has found out that she loves wine the most and she would marry anyone who can give her the best wine, Elliot decided to search for the ones she had never tasted before by himself and let her taste them so that he would be able to make her happy and win her heart over time.

"I promise to give you a wine you've never tasted before if I find any in this settlement," Elliot said with an adamant look on his face, expressing that he is intent on repaying her for helping him avert the crisis.

"I don't expect you to be true to your words, but if you really get one for me to drink it, I will give you an appropriate reward," Florence said as she moved to go away.

She had barely taken three steps before Elliot suddenly said, "Can you tell me your name?

After turning around to look at him, she said with a smile, "Florence."

"Umm, what's your family name?" Elliot asked right after.

"Love," said the beauty. "Though, why do you ask?

"If I meet a magician of your family in there, I will help them out."

"Pufhaha!" Although she tried to control herself from laughing after hearing his words, she failed to do so. It was too funny for her to hear a magical realm magician say such words as the member of her family that has gone inside the barrier to explore the settlement were all the best magicians in the channel opening stage.

"Did I say something funny?" Elliot felt a bit taken aback by her sweet laughter as they were too sudden, and he wondered if there's something wrong with what he said.

"Ah, no." She hurriedly said and didn't tell him anything more than that as she was worried about hurting his confidence and pride. "If you feel offended, I'm sorry."

"No way." Elliot said, words that can make the hearts of women melt and flutter coming out of his mouth as easily as drinking water, "Instead, I'm happy that I could make you smile."

"Well then, goodbye."

Florence once again turned around to leave, but she had only taken a few steps when Elliot said something to her.

"Do you know who that old hag was?" The way he was right now, he couldn't let anyone who offended him live a peaceful life. He didn't give a damn about the strength of the old hag, or the people backing her if there are any as a matter of fact. He straight out wanted to show her hell.

"Oh, that old hag name is Margerie Symeon. She is a lord of magic infamous for preying on pretty boys like you and sucking the life out of them. But she is too powerful and also backed by the association, so her crimes go unjudged. You better keep an eye out for her." Lady Florence warned him with a severe look on her face as she knew that he was the type the old hag likes the most.

"Thanks for telling me her name," Elliot said respectfully.

Something in her mind clicked, and her eyebrows raised as she said, "Don't tell me you want to take your revenge on her."

"I'm not strong enough to do that," Elliot said, laughing dryly.

"Ah, that's right." Florence thought that she is too stupid to think of that. After all, the boy before her was too weak to stand a chance to kill the old hag, who was a lord of magic.
