Chapter 284: Pill Emperor Past! (a)

"First, you will luckily succeed. Second, you will push contaminants into the medicinal essence, making it so corrupt that parts of it will become useless. The last is that you'll cause the medicinal essence to mix with the impurities, wasting the ingredient."

Pill Emperor raised his first finger and said, "The last area is the medicinal essence. Cleaning the impurities in this place is so hard that even I don't dare do it. A single misstep can cause all the medicinal essence to surge out of the ingredient, making it a complete waste."

"Hmm, I get it."

Only after hearing the explanation of the Pill Emperor did Elliot realize that the celestial energy channels, God's Qi, Energy Fusion Matrix, and Energy of life were highly significant, better than everything else on his body. The first allowed him to gain complete control over pure and impure energies, including but not limited to mana, spiritual energy, and magic power. The second and fourth ones allowed him to disintegrate impurities and amplify the effect of medicinal essence. The third one was what helped him create the second and fourth ones possible!

"Now, show me what you've learned." Pill Emperor said.

Elliot looked at him seriously and said, "Don't get shocked."

Pill Emperor: ??? "Why would I be shocked?"

His words hadn't even ended before golden energy with tiny blue stars in it surged out of Elliot's palm and rushed into the ten ingredients. He didn't perform hand signs, and neither did he use mana that the Pill Emperor was familiar with, causing the latter to get shocked!

[You've used a hundred units of energy of life to eliminate the impurities of ten ingredients and amplify the effects of their medicinal essence!]

The moment those notifications popped up in his mind, a bluish-gold shine burst out of all the ten ingredients. A couple of seconds later, the glow receded, revealing that all the ingredients had turned gold and had many blue speckles on them, making others think that these items had come from heaven and contained the stars of the universe.

Pill Emperor's feet tapped on the ground as he hurried over to the ingredients. He looked at them with a scrutinizing gaze. With the passage of each second, his eyes opened an inch wider, becoming so vast that Elliot feared they would pop out of their sockets!

"I warned you, but you still got surprised, sigh." Elliot felt defeated. It looked like he could do nothing but embrace his destiny of shocking everyone everywhere he went and would go in his life.

Pill Emperor looked at him with a gaze that asked, How could I not be shocked?

He was shocked so much that he became speechless and silly because of multiple reasons.

The first was that these ingredients had no impurities, which became as good as the spiritual herbs that soaked in mana for one hundred to ten thousand years! Elliot made his ingredients as good as things that can take anywhere between a hundred to thousands of years to form!

The second was that he somehow increased the volume and quality of the medicinal essence!

"Y-you increased the quality and volume of the medicinal essence of all these ingredients. That thing isn't possible unless a person uses mystical flames. But I clearly saw that you didn't use one. So, h-how did you do that?!" Pill Emperor felt exasperated by the wonder displayed before him, and he couldn't help but ask the producer of it.

Elliot raised his hand, and golden energy with blues dots appeared above it.

"This allowed me to do that. What is it is something I can't explain, but you can take it as an energy a thousand times greater than mana." Elliot said as he revealed the energy of life to his teacher.

He wouldn't have done that if he was somewhere else. But as he was in an illusion that would end soon without losing anything, he didn't mind revealing some of his treasure to the Pill Emperor. Everything was an illusion. So even if he gets betrayed, killed, murdered, and chopped into pieces, nothing would happen to him. Thus, he decided to trust his teacher, thinking that it would be good if the others didn't backstab him and it wouldn't be a problem even if he did.

"I've never seen such a rare type of energy."

Pill Emperor was 8500 years old and still a virgin. He was obsessed with alchemy, and he had researched about everything related to it. He had also covered topics on mystical flames, and he possessed two of them! But even both of them combined couldn't purify ingredients as quickly and as good as the energy flickering above the finger of his student.

"W-wait!

Suddenly, Pill Emperor sword-like eyebrows arched! It seems that he had come to a sudden realization.

He immediately took some steps away from Elliot and asked, "You! Are you an otherworldly being?"

"Otherworldly being? I guess you can use that to define me." Elliot nodded his head.

"Which world did you come from?" Pill Emperor asked, an apprehensive expression vivid on his face.

Elliot knew that he was in the spirit world, one that was facing the invasion of the demonic gods and multiple races, and so it was hard for the members of the spirit race to trust otherworldly beings.

"You don't need to guard against me. I am not one of the demonic gods, and I am not the enemy of the spirit race." Elliot said.

There was no way Pill Emperor, who had lost his senior disciple at the hands of an otherworldly being, would believe him. His very first student went out of the celestial mountain to journey around the world and gain some experience with interacting with people outside his home. But she fell in a honey pot trap prepared by otherworldly beings!

Pill Emperor's eyes turned cold. Elliot saw a layer of frost appearing over them. Then he heard him asking the same question again, "Which world?"
