Her face instantly blushed when the thought sunk on her!

He kissed her!

The worst, she didn't react at all!

Maria saw him backed slowly, sadness was on his eyes. She felt guilty but she stopped herself from comforting him.

They finally arrived on their house and she went straight to their bedroom. She was so exhausted that she wanted to rest for a bit.

"babe what do you want for lunch?"

Tobias asked her again but still, she kept her mouth shut and never turned back to look at him.

Tobias just scratched his head feeling at lost. He wonder, why was it so hard to be on her good side again? Does she really hate him that much?

He went to the kitchen feeling defeated. He needed to prepare for her lunch. He took out the meal plan the doctor gave them.

Tobias patiently prepared the ingredients for their lunch. By the time he finished everything, his hands was full of band aids due to small cuts he had while preparing their food.

He made a 'super' fried salmon, 'super' steamed broccoli and over cooked rice. The one dish that was pleasing to his eyes was the peeled fruits.

He took off his apron and went upstairs to call Maria. He knocked three times before she opened the door.

Maria just stand there and looking at him. As if waiting for him to talk.

'she really don't want to talk to me?'

He felt more depressed by that thought. Tobias calmed his aching heart and talked to her gently.

"babe, the foods were ready. Come and join me."

He looked at her, praying that she will grant his offer.

As expected, Maria didn't say even a single syllable. She just walked past him and went downstairs towards the kitchen.

Tobias sadly followed her. He get some fruit juice in the fridge and filled her glass.

He looked at her expression, she was staring at the table with an unpredictable expression.

"don't you like it? I'm sorry for what I cooked, I just follow your meal plan. But I am not a chef so I think I ruined it. Just tell me if you don't like it and I will just order your food instead."

Maria remained deaf and was still looking at the table. Suddenly, she a started picking the super steamed broccoli and put it below her nose, as if sniffing it and put it inside her mouth afterwards.

Tobias felt nervous, what if she won't like it and decided not to eat. He frustratedly watched her.

She swallowed it slowly and pick another one.

Then another one, and another till she finished it. Tobias left speechless, did she really ate it all?!

Maria started to switch her attention towards the super fried salmon and eat it with so much grace. She even used her hands while eating it.

Tobias on the other hand, felt glad within. He was very happy to see her eating his dish gracefully. He just watched her ate until she finished all the food, except the sliced apple.

After she drink her juice, Maria stood up. She wash her hands and left the kitchen without saying anything.

Totally ignoring the gloomy Tobias on the table.
