313 Emotions Control

CHAPTER 313

Astrid did not get mad because of what he did but that he deliberately did so, to show a useless point and still smirked about it.

Since he wanted to play his game that way, she decided to use violence rather than best him at his game.

She had wanted to retaliate by kissing him and causing his lower member to become rock hard for her and leave him hanging but decided against it as she thought Snow could barge in on them at any moment.

At least he still had some sense of dignity and shame but he, he openly did that to her.

All she wanted was to scare him a little and scare him, she did.

Just recalling the events of the day alone, made her emotions rile up and as she thought about how she made the flames come out, in reality, her powers activated and did the same.

Seeing this, Jareth immediately got up from his seat and rushed to her, but before he could place his hands on her shoulders to bring her back, his body slammed into her barrier and he fell down.

"Ouch! Would she stop doing that without warning?" Jareth complained while rubbing his forehead and his nose.

That did not stop him one bit and he instantly got back up on his feet and rushed for the barrier.

The only difference now was that this time, he used his hands to continuously bang on it, hoping it would break or that she would open her eyes and prevent her from becoming how she was before.

"Astrid! Astrid, no, no, no. Please do not. Stop it already."

Jareth banged and banged, yet Astrid did not open her eyes. He turned around to see the little beasts shake his head at him. He too had tried to reach her but no matter how hard he tried, his mother and master blocked him out.

Without wasting time, Jareth ran to her back, hoping that the barrier would not be all-round and he could get her but that still failed.

He was running out of options on what to do. Resigning himself to his last option, he picked an arrow and controlled it with his mind, as he did during the time he first met her, hoping it would somehow be able to penetrate her barrier, still nothing happened.

"Damn it! I should never have listened to her."

By now, both of Astrid's arms were already set ablaze and burning wth raging fury but it did not burn her skin.

Even though he knew it would not hurt her, he still felt scared of what it would do to her mentally.

Meanwhile, as soon as Astrid thought about it and her hands went up in flames, White-Fire quickly called out to her.

"Astrid, control it. Control your rage. Make your emotions stabilize. It is not real. It is over. It isn't happening anymore. Do not get angry."

Astrid grunted, trying to calm her emotions down but it was not easy.

Hearing White-Fire's encouraging voice in her mind, she began to follow her instructions and in no time, the flames started going down physically, till they were totally extinguished from her arms.

Snow quickly went to nudge Jareth with his head as he noticed the flames reduced. It was then Jareth focused and noticed the reduction too, till they completely disappeared.

Both him and Snow heaved a sigh of relief at the same time.

He wanted her to stop and kept on hitting on the barrier, so she could no longer continue.

Snow having a mind of his own bit down on his trouser and pulled his leg back as he took steps backwards away from the barrier.

He needed Jareth to have a little faith in his master. He knew that with his mother's guidance, she would be okay and she did it. She controlled her temper and controlled her powers.

He was no longer scared and so should Jareth. If he really loved her, he should know she could do it and that she was not a weakling.

"Snow, what is the matter? We need to break Astrid and prevent her from doing this again."

Snow shook his head at Jareth and pulled harder on the latter's leg.

"Stupid Jareth, let master be. Have some faith in her or I am going to pull your legs off if you do not stop hitting her barrier."

Even though Snow was speaking, all Jareth heard was some small noise coming from his mouth.

"Arghhh! I cannot wait to bond with master, then I would start by giving you a piece of my mind, Jareth."

After Astrid calmed down, her eyes opened in her mind and she was brought before a dark and empty place.

"White-Fire, where is this?"

"Your mind. Relax, it would all come back to you soon."

"But I do not… Ahhh!"

Astrid held her head as a tremendous pain took over her being, causing an annoying headache as her memories of what happened started flooding in.

What had happened were either two things.

The first being that, her mind locked part of her memories away subconsciously in other to protect her from the harsh reality of what was happening.

And the second probability was that her powers blocked that part of her memory to keep her under its control.

Whichever one was right, White-Fire did not know.

Jareth who was about obeying Snow and turned to leave suddenly heard her piercing scream and continued hitting the barrier.

But as soon as her memories rushed in, within thirty seconds, the pain disappeared when it finished and she no longer felt the headache.

Jareth's heart was already beating heart against his chest. His fear was racing back in and he could barely take it.

"Astrid, please stop."

And she did.
