230 Madly In Love With Her

Throwing an upper cut the second Clive's hand touched his blonde hair and taking the man by surprise, his fist collided with Clive's jaw and a soft crack sound could he heard in the whole arena.

"Ahh!"

Jareth jumped, twirling in the air and sent his feet flying at Clive's face while the latter was distracted holding his injured jaw.

Gbish! Gbish!

A double leg kick and he landed on the ground. He took this opportunity that his opponent was weaker and aimed another series on punches on the man's abdomen, causing him to groan in pain.

"Urghh!" Cough!

As soon as he opened his eyes, Jareth pulled his head down with a force Clive would never expect him to possess and raised one knee, suing it to hit the man's face before releasing his head and turned, so he was leaning into Clive's body, wrapped his hands around his neck and pulled him over his shoulders.

THUD!!

Ohh!

"Ahh!" Clive screamed out in agony, holding his bleeding broken nose with both hands as he wriggled in pain.

"Get up. This is so far from being done," Jareth called out to him.

As if possessed by rage, he shot back up and moved to this side, both of them circling around the arena, waiting for who to make the first move.

Both of them continued at it for a while, beating each other to a pulp. Unlike Clive, Jareth's injuries were minimal, except for the time Clive sneaked a heavy punch at his ribs, but the former had it much worse as blood flowed from his nostrils and had one eye swollen from Jareth's punch.

Although everyone thought he had the advantage because of strength and weight, Jareth had an advantage when it came to speed, accuracy and precision.

Most times he was just too fast that the naked eyes could barely see him, except Astrid and Snow, but he tried his best to reduce his speed to just above the average man's speed so as to make it a fair fight.

Not that it should have mattered though, considering they knew he was an elf, but still he still reduced it.

Before long it was already thirty minutes. Snow was already back in Astrid's arms since the only impediment was fighting for her.

She clutched its fur hard but not to the point of causing it pain. She had her eyes fixed on the match in front of her and her lower lips between her teeth.

When Jareth got his ribs cracked, Astrid had felt it and pressed the little white tiger phoenix beast hard to her chest. It would have choked if not that it could communicate to her through their mind.

"Master, do not choke me to death because you are worried," Snow cried out, snapping her from whatever trance she was in.

Hearing his voice invade her mind like that broke her from her reverie and she loosened her hold on him.

Sigh!

Watching her behave this way, he could only shake his head at her.

'Mother said to stay out of their lover's issues. I would quietly observe. If only Jareth would stop making master feel hurt, then master would be happier.' Snow thought.

It hadn't experienced being with any lovers before except watching his own mother and father but seeing Astrid now, he wondered if its father felt that way when he left the forest peak and journeyed on its own.

'I already feel week just by feeling the pain and anxiety she is feeling. This love isn't good for her health, but then, she has faced deadlier situations with him, why is she scared like this, when she wasn't before?'

If Astrid was asked, she herself wouldn't be able to provide an answer. All she knew was that this fight may not end well even if Jareth won.

Since it was already passed thirty minutes, all the participants had to do was to make the other person lose or surrender.

Unfortunately for Clive, Jareth was hell-bent on making him surrender, one way or another. He didn't plan on losing this fight, but his broken ribs hurt so bad.

They both looked like a mess at the thirtieth minute and Clive looked like he would soon pass out but surprisingly he stood strong.

Both launched their attack at once, Jareth's speed reduced more than before from the pain he was feeling at his ribs.

He needed to make sure to avoid any further blows or punches to that side of his body. Luckily he dodged the next two Clive threw at his ribs, and returned the favour, aiming for his already broken nose.

Gbish! Gbish!

"Ahh! Woo!"

"He really is skilled. He is better than the leader, the strongest man in the village."

"He sure is deserving of the girl."

"She is so lucky to have such a man fight for her hand."

"They seem so much in love with each other. Didn't you see how they kissed so passionately, it turned me on just watching them."

"Hehe, you are always naughty. They are a fit, a perfect match. She is gorgeous."

"He is handsome as well once you clean away that dirt and bloodstains."

"Why is the leader wanting to tear them apart. It is obvious he is madly in love with her. You can see it from the determination in his eyes. He wants to win this fight for her."

"True, I wish my man could be half of the mean he is and he isn't even a man, he is an elf. I wonder if all elves are like that."

"I do not know, but if they were, then their women are lucky. Unlike our men, rough, demanding, authoritative… urgh."

"You can't blame them. I still love my man anyway and do not wish to be in her shoes. Even being too beautiful has its problem. That is what she gets, making her beloved go through this ordeal just to have her."
