Because it was the last dinner that Leo was going to be spending with his family before the holidays came around, everyone had tried to be there. Even Zane who had been away due to other important matters that he needed to attend to.

It was only for a few months that her younger brother was going to be away but he was making a big deal out of it.

"It's not like you're going to be away for that long. Likely you'll find an excuse to come back before the holidays if you can." Lena pointed out. Her brother hadn't done this before in the past. She believed that was only because he was too young to figure out how to since he would need a guardian with him to fly because he was underage.

"As much as I would love to find the chance to come and visit you all, I also do take my studies over there seriously. Unlike you, I am looking at getting into university." He retorted as he stuck his tongue out at her. The princess simply rolled her eyes in response to his childish behavior.

"Aren't you around the age when the university would normally be starting in the UK?" Samuel asked. Although he didn't know much about it, it was something an exchange student who had come to his high school for a year from the UK had talked about. Kids over there started college sooner than kids in America did.

"That's exactly why I have to head back. I won't be starting in the fall, but I have to study in order to have good grades for the spring." He replied.

"He's interested in becoming a lawyer." Zane added before Samuel had a chance to ask this question. He paused for a second after he process what the other said.

He wanted to ask how that worked with him being part of a mafia family but wasn't sure if it was an appropriate question to ask.

"I find law over there to be a very interesting subject. Something that I think I could put to good use in a number of different ways." Leo added as he continued to eat.

"Are you going to be coming back here to use it?" He opted to ask the younger brother instead. The other shrugged his shoulder.

"I haven't made up my mind on that decision yet." He replied honestly.

"Lena here has pretty much everything already covered without my help. If I was the one taking over, I would have to come back no matter what I wanted to do. With her taking over though. Unless there's a reason that she needs me, I'm technically free to do whatever."

"And it's exactly because you're free to do whatever it is that you want that you've ended up becoming spoiled." Lena remarked causing her younger brother to glare at her.

"It's not being spoiled. I just happen to better understand how to enjoy the finer things in life more than you do." he shot back.

"Your problem is that you just need to learn how to relax more and enjoy things without worrying about everything else that's going on around you."

As Samuel watched the two siblings exchanging barbs and bantering, he realized that once Leo had left, the house was likely to become rather quiet again.

Though he wasn't around all the time, when was at home, things would get quite noisy between him and Lena like currently were. He didn't think that was a bad thing however. They actually seemed like they got along quite well and bickering was just how they showed their affection.

"Rather than worrying about all of those things, let's just focus on what's going to be happening through the next few hours until your flight time." Zane suggested. He was used to them arguing like this after having to deal with it for years. Despite that, it could still get a bit noisy for him from time to time.

"I vote for doing something fun since I won't be having much time for it once I get back. Plus, I wasn't able to go to the beach today." Lena huffed under her breath when he said this but didn't respond.

"No drinking before your flight or anything else that might make you late for it." Julian warned.

"If you end up being late, I don't want to have to be the one who puts up more money because you were irresponsible." Julian had always been the one to take on a stricter role with the siblings though Zane was there father.

He ended up allowing a lot more things to slide than his brother did. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that he ended up with two daughters who he was very protective of and never had to deal with a son. Nor had he ever sent a child away to live on their own.

Lena had been under the belief that he would never do such a thing because he was likely to have a heart attack if either of his daughters were out of his sight for too long. He wouldn't be able to handle sending them away to live on their own for a few years even if it was for their own protection.

"Whatever you chose to do, plan it without me. I am too tired to deal with anything so late tonight." Lena informed everyone else.

"I thought that you would have felt more refreshed after spending the whole day with your fiancé?" Leo teased though he didn't miss the glance that the princess cast in Samuel's direction. The other seemed a bit oblivious to what was going on.

"I did at first until some unexpected events and an unexpected visitor." She replied as she pushed her plate towards the center of the table. She was already done eating. The only reason she would be staying at the table now was that she wanted dessert. Even without Ryan being there, she knew whatever was going to be served would be good.

"You can borrow him though if you want. I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing something with you." She motioned in Samuel's direction when she said this.

Not only did she know the other was likely to have more energy than her, allowing her fiancé to be caught up with her brother meant that she would be able to go to sleep on her own without the other bugging her again about their sleeping arrangement.
