Gu Qingshan was still looking around him when a luminous row of text popped out from the system.

“You have stayed for 24 hours in the other world. Returning to the real world now.”

Gu Qingshan was stunned for a few moments.

He was pretty sure that he had only spent about half a day since he’d entered the other world. Why did the system say that he had already stayed for 24 hours?

He raised this question.

The system replied to him quickly.

“Space-time Turbulence causes losses in time that are unpredictable and cannot be controlled.”

“Returning now.”

Gu Qingshan understood what had happened after the system explained things.

He had been within the Space-time Turbulence for possibly ten-odd minutes, but it turned out to be equivalent to half a day.

He looked out at this destroyed world intensely.

There was a flash of light, and Gu Qingshan completely disappeared from Shenwu World.

At the capital of the Federation.

Carefree Holiday Hotel.

Gu Qingshan’s body slowly appeared on the highest floor of this building.

It had only been an hour since he had left the president’s residence and was arranged to stay at this famous hotel.

Gu Qingshan stood at the highest floor of the hotel and looked out at the brightly lit capital of the Federation quietly.

Suddenly, his mind went completely blank.

Gu Qingshan frowned.

Every time he tried to recall some past battles or tried to remember some of his past memories, he would slip into a daze.

“System, how much longer do I have to wait before I can recover all my memories?”

The War God Operating Interface replied to his question with a row of words.

“We have not shaken off those watching the space-time dimension, so please watch your words and actions carefully.”

Gu Qingshan sighed deeply when he saw this row of words.

He felt like he was an incomplete idiot.

He looked around him.

The night was quiet, and everything was at peace.

After coming back from the destroyed world, the vast difference in the conditions of both worlds made him start to long for the real world.

But it was a pity. The real world was going to be embroiled in destruction sooner or later.

After a long while, Gu Qingshan kept Night Rain away, put his quivers away, and sat on the balcony railing of the top floor.

There was a bottle of beer in his hands. He had just bought it that night but was whisked off to the cultivation world before he had a chance to drink any.

Gu Qingshan bit off the cap and chugged the beer down.

The beer was cold and refreshing. The alcohol level was very low, and it wasn’t easy to get drunk on beer, but it made him feel relaxed.

Gu Qingshan really needed some time to relax for a while. From the time he designed the seraph mecha, he had been fighting battle after battle, and it had been a long time since he got to rest.

Gongsun Zhi, Ning Yuechan…

In his previous life, these two people had been hunted down and killed by the demons without mercy. After having killed them, the demons had also swiftly covered up the secret that these two humans had discovered.

Now that history had restarted, the fate of these two people had suddenly changed dramatically because of a small, unknown variable called Gu Qingshan.

This dramatic change carried the risk of Gu Qingshan losing his very own life.

So Gu Qingshan had to tread very carefully.

“The mission reward is the Magical Power of the War God…”

Gu Qingshan murmured this to himself, and his eyes became more and more determined.

He gripped the bottle of beer, then chugged the rest down at one go.

Rest time was over.

Gu Qingshan swung his legs over the balcony railing and back into the room. He sat down cross-legged and quietly started maneuvering his Spirit Power.

It was midnight, then. It would take about six hours for his Spirit Power to wash away all the tiredness in his body.

Gu Qingshan quickly got into the right state of mind.

Nobody would have noticed that there was a young man sitting at the top floor of Carefree Holiday Hotel cultivating with all his might for the sake of staying alive.

It was a full six hours before Gu Qingshan finally regained all his strength.

Gu Qingshan opened his eyes and exhaled white air.

This stream of white air flew out about 20 meters before slowly dissipating.

“Excellent. Now that I’ve regained my energy, I can try to break through to the next level.”

Gu Qingshan said that as he pulled the Military Qi Refining Instruction booklet out. He also made the War God Operating Interface pop out and quickly made a decision.

“Comprehension of Military Qi Refining Instruction Level 6, Ling Xu, requires 3 points of Soul Power. Confirm comprehension?”

“Yes.”

“Comprehension complete. Current Soul Power: 27/7.”

A warm flow rushed out from the Military Qi Refining Instruction booklet and went straight into Gu Qingshan’s body. It went round and round his limbs and bones before finally heading for Gu Qingshan’s consciousness.

Enlightenment appeared within Gu Qingshan’s mind.

He immediately knew what he had to do in order to break through to the next level.

“I still need a bit more Spirit Power…”

Gu Qingshan looked into his own dantian and started to think about what he could do about his Spirit Power level.

If he didn’t have enough Spirit Power, he was likely to fail at breaking through to the next level.

If he wanted to increase the total amount of Spirit Power, he would have to spend time and effort in cultivation.

Gu Qingshan clenched his teeth.

But he really couldn’t wait anymore. The next time he entered the other world, he would appear within the lost Shenwu World immediately. If he didn’t find a way to quickly strengthen himself and increase his power before going back, then he would die without even knowing what hit him.

Gu Qingshan patted his storage bag and found the large bag of python blood. He gulped down two large mouthfuls of it.

Python blood was able to intensify his senses and Divine sense, as well as help him to adjust his Spirit Power accurately within a short span of time.

Gu Qingshan wiped his mouth, put his hands together, then stopped moving altogether.

He was like a stone statue as he went into deep meditation.

After a short while, Gu Qingshan suddenly sprayed a mouthful of blood and water out violently.

“I didn’t make it. What a pity! I was just left with a bit more to go.”

Gu Qingshan mumbled these few words out before quickly calming himself back down and then trying one more time.

After another short while, he sprayed out yet another mouthful of blood.

“I don’t believe I can’t do this. Let me try one more time.”

Gu QIngshan clenched his teeth and gulped another large mouthful of python blood.

His body was now extremely tense and was near its limits, so it could only take one more attempt within a short time like this.

He inhaled and exhaled. He inhaled again and exhaled again.

He calmed himself back down.

He was going to try again.

This time, it took a much longer time.

Gu Qingshan sat motionlessly in the night until the sun started to rise in the sky, and there was morning dew all over his clothes.

He finally opened his eyes.

There was a look of glee in his eyes.

Gu Qingshan put his hands together gently and quietly commanded, “Spirit Power Shield!”

A layer of flickering Spirit Power appeared and surrounded his entire body.

This move required a lot of Spirit Power, but it was very weak at actually defending the cultivator. So it was a move that was nice to have yet completely useless at the same time.

In a real battle, cultivators weren’t willing to use Spirit Power Shield at all. They were more willing to use armor or some other magical treasures that could be used as a defense instead.

But this was a move that only Qi Refiner Level 6 cultivators could conjure up.

Gu Qingshan had finally made a breakthrough to the next level successfully.

He stood up and stretched himself out, and all his bones and joints cracked loudly.

Gu Qingshan was fairly satisfied with being able to break through to the next level after an entire night of cultivating.

Once he had reached Qi Refiner Level 7, he could try to attain a Magical Power while trying to break through to the Foundation Building stage.

Gu Qingshan returned to the bed and took a while to rest.

At twelve minutes past nine in the morning.

Gu Qingshan woke up.

He pulled the blinds open, and sunlight immediately filled the room.

There were a lot of vehicles outside, and loud chattering filled the streets.

Gu QIngshan suddenly realized what was going on after thinking about it.

It would be the Federation’s 300th Union Day celebration in 19 days. Also, it was now the time where the universities were taking in the students that were guaranteed admission.

So almost everybody in town was getting busy.

But all of these things had nothing to do with him. He wondered what he should do.

Since he had nothing to do in the morning, he thought of finding a place to practice his archery skills.

He had to go to the president’s residence in the afternoon to have lunch with the president.

As for night time, it would be time to give Su Xue’er her birthday present.

Gu Qingshan couldn’t help but crack a smile when he thought about how happy Su Xue’er would be.

He picked up his communication device and sent one sentence out.

“I’ve reached the capital already.”

He got a reply immediately after sending the message out.

Gu Qingshan picked up the communication device and pressed the button. Su Xue’er’s excited voice immediately came through.

“You irritating fellow! You’ve already gone on TV and even stood next to the president, but you didn’t tell me anything in advance!”

“I didn’t know beforehand, either.”

“So the president is going to sponsor your university studies?”

“That’s right. I’ll be at Federal Defense University, and the president will sponsor my fees.”

“That’s great! I was still thinking of secretly saving up some credit points to help…”

Su Xue’er realized that she was about to say the wrong thing, so she quickly cut herself off. But she had already said too much upfront.

Gu Qingshan only needed a moment to understand what was going on, and his smile became wider and wider.

This was Su Xue’er, all right. She had quietly made preparations for him but didn’t want to tell him anything because she didn’t want to hurt his male pride.

But she might have been too excited this time and accidentally let the cat out of the bag.
