Chapter 65 - New Uniforms

You stretch the colliding hue of blue and red far and wide in the air like liquid, creating a scenic view of a hypnotizing world. Black rings glowing in blue ripples constantly in different places as the red liquid spew out elemental essences like an erupting volcano just for them to go through the other side and back like a never ending orbits, making a wave that will be engulfed by the glowing black rings.

The amount is still the same but denser due to the augmentation of thousands of circuits and mana, which of course, results in a heavier mass. It's more reactive to your command, resulting in a 300% increase in efficiency.

Lues touches them as it ripples like an upside down pond. "As a creator, you need to name them."

"Name them, huh." Because they are made from the blood of the fallen, which is already controversial enough. You'll call it—"Chi of Decidit."

'Chi of Decidit' acquired.

"Chi' as in singular blood, gore, and consanguinity? Since when did you know some of the Youkai's tongue?"

"The oni you fought back then gave me the scroll for blood manipulation. My Chrolings decrypted them and two kanji symbols for blood are read as 'Ketsueki', with only one of them it was read as 'Chi'," you say as your conniving smile widens in satisfaction.

Having enough fun playing around, you condense them again into a pill then place them into the gourd, a satisfying plop sound echoes inside.

The bell rings. You nonchalantly go to the door and peek outside through the peephole to find a female feline in an Assailant uniform with a thick iron wrist gauntlet on her left arm placed on her waist, her right white-gloved hand supporting the black visor of her white militaristic cap with two cat ears sticking out from a well designed holes for felines' ears, and lastly, a professional smile you could trust. Two futuristic chests can be seen right in the middle of your view besides her. Excited, you immediately open the door and mirror her smile. An ID card is hanging by her neck, codenamed: Quickloss.

Her slit pupils gaze at you, visibly going up and down your petite figure. The feline flinched and stiffened, to the you who only tilted your head in confusion. Because you were basically wearing your undergarments, the scenario felt like she was the pizza guy in a porno. There was a literal process she had to convince herself that you were a thousand year old vampire and such thoughts if known by a primordial would just mean she'd die in more than 33 ways.

The feline gives a quick and haphazard salute. "Good morning! Operator Long Leggy. These two crates are sent by the top brass, senior Seizequill will be waiting for both of your arrival at 10 am, is there anything else you want to know?"

"What are those crates for?" you ask.

Lues floats toward the entrance to find you two, her eyes fixated on the high-tech boxes. "Oya, oya, so it has arrived. Our uniforms."

"Of course!"

Quickloss singlehandedly carries the big containers inside your president suite room. She then bids a farewell. You glance over the crates for a second and just like her codename, it's quick to lose sight of her as she just disappears without leaving a sign of any sort. With the door closed inaudibly, it's safe to assume that she is already outside on her way back to the headquarters after seeing a vampire in pantyhose and undergarments.

The codenames of you and Lues are engraved on top of each chest, glowing in neon. Anticipation has never been as contagious as this moment. Fresh white smoke releases the moment you open the sturdy lid and gape at the content.

There are few documents and the accessories of your uniform inside. You read one of the letters that tells you to wear it immediately as the moment you retrieve it and some manual about the accessories.

Just at the right time when you don't wear much clothing, you assemble all the pieces into your body and look into the mirror.

Black-visored white peaked military cap with a Qilin symbol at the front that makes you look taller in appearance and pure presence. The usual pure-white Assailant uniform underneath the red trimmed multilayered black jacket with neon red rings that requires it to be inserted into three straps connected to the shoulder part to the end of the long sleeves as a stiff and wide cuffs which is rather a hassle to wear. Nevertheless, the small red hoops is surprisingly light and doesn't do much friction with your hand joints.

As the most top layers, you wear a black capelet with a tubular wide neck guard made of strong and stiff fabric stretching from shoulder to shoulder with grey line patterns that comes with a zipper—it's really convenient and comfortable to wear despite being rather heavy, you can't look down well with it but why look down when you're short?

They also give you the option of wearing black short pants or a flexible business skirt. You could wear both but fighting in a skirt like that, no matter how they market it, will never assure you so you chose the black short pants. It's comfortable too so it's a win-win. You were still going to wear your pantyhose because it had been enchanted with the self repair circuit.

You slide each of your feet into the loose armored heeled-boots with rather excessive plating on the knees, you put your mana into the circular device located on the beginning section of the heels and they immediately tighten comfortably as if it was part of your legs.

'I feel like this is too outrageous.'

It does make you more intimidating but it feels like there are too many things going on. Each article of clothing is enchanted, it'd probably be for combat purposes, then again, having lesser clothing will give you more flexibility so this getup might actually be for formal or ceremonial events.

You then shift your gaze at Lues who has finished her preparation on her own uniform. Everything is the same except that her accessories don't come with the peaked military cap and the tubular neck-guard capelet. Instead, she got a spell conductor in the form of a cool-looking pair of wrist gauntlets.

Curious, you check the other documents, explaining about numerous operator's classes that come with their special accessories. You check your class on the Operator Class Card you got yesterday after the examination. Aggressor, Tactician, and Annihilator—what is engraved on them.

Shifting back to the documents, it seems like your peaked military cap comes from your Tactician Class, the complex multilayered jacket comes with the Aggressor Class, and your outlandish neck-guard capelet is the sign of your Annihilator Class. The Operator Class is hardly given to normal personnel in which you need to meet a certain criteria to gain one as a credential.

Your hands are upon important files, stricken by the curiosity of your perspicacity.
