Chapter 26：I’m alive, yay! Oh no, I’m Ramil.

I had a dream, and this dream, I don't know but at this point, it really seem very insignificant because really, I tell you, it is very insignificant. I don't know how or why I dreamt of that, or is it a message? Is it an omen of what is to happen? A glimpse of the future? I don't know and it is very weird.

On my dream, I was standing in the streets of Makati at night, you know, the streets wherein you look to your left, or right, or front and even back, all you will see are towering buildings and skyscrapers that because of it, you only see a part of the sky because these buildings seem to block ones view of what is above.

But on this dream, Makati is chaotic than last I have been here, people running away from something from their behind, burning cars, and also the buildings are burning and their windows broken. Police sirens wailed all around the city proper, policemen shouting orders at people, and even overhead speakers are announcing about the people to evacuate immediately as they can.

It is really weird and I wanted to help, but for them, I just am a mirage, standing here.

Something caught my from the above, I don't know but when I looked up, there seems to be a dragon shaped shadow and a bird shaped shadow fighting above. These shadows were very huge that they almost covered the moon with their very immense sizes. They seem to be fighting, clawing each other for something.

I tried yelling at them to stop (guess who is stupid enough), but they seem not to hear me for I am just a human. But something happened, something unexpected. The dragon shaped shadow just swallowed the moon like it is the biggest cookie ever. And then the whole world turned black and everything was swallowed by darkness itself.

And I woke up with a jolt, breathing heavily, I was hyperventilating like hell, but I managed to calm myself down by closing my eyes. I don't know what is that dream all about but it really seems not nice especially if that happened. What if that is the glimpse of the future? What if that is what is to happen in the near future? I shooed away my thoughts of negativity and focused on the present because it means I've got the chance to correct this soon to happen phenomenon.

I finally calmed down and opened my eyes once more, and I realized, I am in a ward, a ward in a hospital but there are no IV lines connected on me, like I am just here to rest and stuffs. I looked around, well, a door in front of me, a bench, some lights, my things, and on my bed, a lady who is sleeping very soundly as she held my left hand. Oh my Elise, she seems okay, thank God, and I think she is in good condition. She is wearing a plain blue shirt, shorts and her hair tied in a ponytail.

I ruffled her hair "Hey Elise."

She seemed to wake up a little and started stretching and opening her eyes. And her eyes widened as she saw me awake. And then she tackled me in a hug and sobbed. "You are so stupid to face all of them and everything and now I have very weird super powers but what matters is you are okay! You are alive!" As she removed her arms and held my shoulders.

I raised my left arm and pointed it with my right "Yeah, but you drooled in my left arm."

She hit me once again in my arm "I didn't!"

I laughed as she sat in the edge of my bed "Tell me what happened, only the ones you know."

She told me about me wading and fighting everyone like a demon, and she also told me she got so mad that she got some weird super power, that she can summon anything and stuffs which seems to freak her out a lot but in a managed way. And after awhile, she told me that she passed out and she woke up a few hours after and met the Anakdatu and she said that they told her that I was in a hospital and I was unconscious for 2 days, that the fight was two days ago and Elise was the only one left to guard me here in the hospital. She told me too that the Anakdatu investigated her about her skills and also did a physiological test on me and studied my footage too. The Anakdatu also told her that I will be further investigated once I come back to The Hut on the summer vacation. I'm screwed.

"Oh well," I said, "That sucks. But Elise," I put my head on her shoulder "thanks a lot, like really."

She seemed to smile and ruffled my hair "No Ramil, thanks a lot, for saving my life and honestly, I will really miss you this summer. Your stupidness, your arrogance, your umbrella that turns into weapons, your-"

"Okay, stop, I get it." As I pinched her nose "I'll miss you a lot too."

Elise suddenly blushed "Erm, I- uh, yeah, but Ramil, I've got powers, and they are pretty extraordinary, what are this? I wasn't bitten by a radioactive spider or something right?"

"I really am not sure Elise, like at the time you got your powers, I was also in flames and then I've got this maximum upped skills, just like the skills of a very OP character in a novel."

She nodded "Yeah, I saw you were on flames, and I tried calling you but you seem not to hear me," And she pouted "And I hate you for that."

I made a peace sign "Sorry, but that is the question we want answered, but not now okay? We face school first and then that, I promise, I will help you find it, we'll find the answers together okay? And also, we pursue John, okay? By the way, what day is it today?"

"It's okay, I am just glad that you are alive and okay. Oh, it's Sunday today and the doctor said that once you are conscious, you can go back now home and stuffs. The doctor, I mean Bankaya." She said.

After some minutes of catching up with Elise, I stood up, put on a decent set of clothes, fixed my stuffs and then we walked outside the hospital. The sun shining so bright at me, it's warmth giving me strength, giving me such willpower that I can toss John a hundred leagues.

'Son of the sun', I remembered that phrase from John, and what on Earth does that mean? Why do I feel that there is something higher, more dangerous beings that is behind all this happenings. The Anakdatu even called the Splinter Cell guys like it never happened on our history, that this is a first. I have so much unanswered questions that I am longing to be answered.

I insisted on walking Elise home, but she told me that is okay, but I insisted and told her that I don't want bad things to happen to her and I will thank Mrs. Vertucio and also apologize for everything.

We got to Elise's house as we were approached by Elise's mom.

"Mom," Elise asked her mom's hand for a mano, "Ramil is finally now okay."

I asked her for a mano too in which she have given me "I'm sorry Mrs. Vertucio for the inconvenience."

"Oh my dear Ramil, Elise told me everything that happened! I was horrified at first, that you were mugged by estranged robbers and you fought back but you fell down and hit head first that made you unconscious but thank God, you are okay!" Elise's mom said as she held my shoulders

Oh wait, did Elise made the thing up for her mom to not know? She protected my identity and also the name of the generation so Thank God.

"Oh yes ma'am, I'm sorry once again and also, I am very thankful for Elise in being with me through the two days that I was unconscious." I finally told them.

After some minutes, I bade farewell to them and also expressed my gratitude so I made my way back to The Hut jr., fixed my things and I ate my dinner because it's already nighttime at that time and lied down on my bed, put on my new set of Eves because my Eve, as I remembered, got broken on the fight during the hack-slash-shoot part but yeah, good as new/

I am just so confused, and I really hate being confused, and what worries me more is Elise, the vacation is coming, and I don't want yet to go, I don't want to leave Batangas City, I don't want to leave her side because I feel something is yet to happen, something unanticipated, something worse than the last one. But after some minutes, I fell asleep. And this night, no dreams bothered me, which made me at ease. The problems tomorrow stays at tomorrow, my dear readers.
