57 The Decision The Decision

I bartered the Charpoy for 35Lhasa. I felt that the price was high but didn't let it bother me. I can always grow as many fruits i want using my gift. When i tried to take my Charpoy, Buld stopped me and told me there is a final finishing to be done.

I looked at him irritated and told him to finish it quickly as i have to go to the Orchard. He ran to his hut and came back with a bundle of leaves which he started spreading in the middle of the Charpoy.

He then activated his gift making the leaves melt and sludge together. The thick sludge then spread itself evenly in the middle and coated the Chords woven in the Charpoy with a thin layer.

When Buld finished his thing, the middle of the Charpoy had a beautiful green patterned thin layer spread evenly on it and to my touch felt soft like cotton. I was suprised and asked him why does other people i saw in the Orchard doesn't have this.

His mouth stretched into a thin smile.

"Most of villagers don't barter for 35Lhasa to have the complete finishing, they get the Charpoy alone for 20."

I realised he didn't deliberately mention this during our barter. I told him i will give his share slowly everyday as it seemed to be acceptable practice in the village. He accepted genially.

I took my Charpoy in one hand and the pot in another and walked towards the old head's hut eventhough Buld's place was near the third section of the Orchard. The runner will search for me in the sixth section of the Orchard where our group is working currently and there is no use going to third.

It is better to enquire the tree i have to work on from the old head than walking directly into the Orchard and waiting for somebody to come. When i went to the old head's hut there were a bunch of people standing around him and he looked to be in dilemma.

I soon learned the cause, it looked like the Zukr vines we trimmed in the first section of the Orchard have already started growing back to dangerous levels. But, there were also some trees with large Zukr growths still left in the seventh section. Our group is still in the sixth section and will take 4 days to crossover.

The old head deliberated for a long time and then decided that Bayaar and myself will work on the seventh section two more day before moving on to the Second Circuit.I started walking to the seventh section to start my work. I gave the clay pot to the runner, who came with me to make sure i work on the correct tree, in exchange for a few Lhasa.
