She swears to herself that once she was free out of her bonds, she was going to make sure he paid a heavy price for his terrible deeds.

"You are going to pay for this." She spoke through her clenched teeth.

An unknown emotion flashed through the kidnapper's eyes. It was that of a surprise, guilt, and maybe adoration.

He shook his head to focus on her and not on his emotions.

He stepped closer to Alyssa and spoke in Alyssa's ears. "Do you want me to make you face reality princess?"

Alyssa remained quiet. She couldn't understand what kind of reality he was talking about.

Just now, the kidnapper was very close to Alyssa. For the first time in her abduction, he had taken a whiff of Alyssa's intoxicating smell and it was making him crazy. He couldn't understand the emotions surging through him.

The incident that he had caused just now had made a great impact on his heart and he was beginning to see Alyssa in a different light.

He couldn't understand this feeling at all.

"Do you want to see me?" The kidnapper said. This time there was some hesitance in his voice. It was as if he was not sure why he was doing it or whether it was the right thing to do or not.

Alyssa nodded.

"Good." He said breathing a sigh of relief.

He removed her blindfold at once, smiling wider when he saw the look of shock on her face.

Alyssa couldn't believe who was standing before her.

She couldn't believe that the person standing in front of her was the one who caused so much chaos in her life.

She stared at him with wide eyes, the lines on her forehead creasing.

Jacob.

Wasn't he dead?

She wanted to laugh at her stupidity.

Why would Jacob come to a place like this in a car? It was so stupid of her to believe in such coincidences.

She always had suspected the criminal to be someone close to her. She was somewhat familiar with his voice even when he was speaking through a voice changer. She should have trusted her sixth sense and followed her mind not her heart.

"I knew you would be surprised," he said, taking her face in his hands. "My acting skills are pretty impressive, right? I can fool anyone and everyone." He said with a haughty and proud look on his face.

He continued, "The world is not a fair place princess. There lie only two kinds of people, one, those deceive others, and the second, that gets deceived." He said as a preacher lecturing to a child.

Alyssa closed her eyes, refusing to look at him.

It was a sick, twisted prank on her.

Jacob's boss, Salvia had ordered him not to hurt Alyssa physically, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't going to hurt her emotionally.

And he was right.

Emotional pain leaves a deeper scar than the physical pain.

It scars the soul, leaving it there permanently.

"Now, now … Don't be like that." He chuckled and used his thumbs to force her eyelids open.

"You should be flattered that I revealed myself to you and opened your blindfold." He said proudly but there seems a bit of fakeness in his haughty demur.

She growled into the cloth and bashed her head into his nose, causing a river of blood to pour out all over his mouth and chin.

"You ungrateful bi*ch!" he roared and he used his sleeve to wipe away the mess that his blood has created. "You will pay for this!" he roared again.

He shoved the chair back so that she can fall on the hard floor. And she did fall.

Standing above her with his shirt soaked in blood and his fists clenched by his sides, he had to suck in a deep breath to calm himself.

He remembered his orders perfectly that he is not allowed to hurt her physically. There should not be any scratches present on her body unless and until they arrive there.

"Please don't make me hurt you, princess." He said angrily. He was still suppressing his anger.

Alyssa knew about Jacob's violent tendencies. Dianna had told her about her and Jacob's relationship and its darkness.

Alyssa knew that Jacob has loose hands and it doesn't matter who is standing in front of him. whether it is an old woman or a child, he will hit them if they provoke him and made him angry.

Alyssa stared at him with fire in her eyes.

She knew that the man in front of her was dangerous, but she didn't care. She was so angry to care about anything in the world.

"I will help you off the floor, "He said, already picking her chair back up. "But you better behave." He said reminding her again.

He then reached out his head and touched the back of her head.

He sighed when he felt a little bump formed on her head because of the fall.

He pressed the bump for closer inspection making Alyssa hiss in pain and she glared at him angrily.

Jacob smiled at this. Without the blindfold, he could see all of Alyssa's emotions clearly. It was very satisfying and was like a wave of fresh air in his life. He had never found Alyssa attractive but ow he found her adorable and her fiery eyes very attractive.

He smiled at her, showing his handsome smile that makes women of all age go crazy, and walked towards the kitchen and to the fridge. He took some ice cubes and placed it on a towel and brought it to Alyssa, pressing it on her bump.
