68 After a month

Violet was sitting in her room on her bed. Her eyes were red and swollen. There were tear stains on her face. Her clothes were ripped and the whole room was in a mess.

It was the scene that Salvia saw when she entered her room.

Violet's eyes seemed dead and she was staring at the same spot.

Salvia's heart ached for her 'innocent' daughter.

She hurriedly went towards her and sat beside her. she pulled Violet in her embrace and said, "I am so sorry my love, so sorry that you have to go through this because of me."

Violet's eyes wavered and fresh tears started dropping from her eyes. "No mother, it is not because of you. It is all my fault. I am the one to blame." Violet said crying in her embrace.

"No honey, it is all because of that wretched person. She is ominous for everyone in this kingdom. Don't worry, people will soon realize it. I will make her cry a thousand times more than you have cried. She will cry tears of blood. I will her skin peeled and maggots will fester on her skin. She will live a living hell right in front of us." Her voice echoed in the messed room. It sounded more like a promise to Violet.

A sweet smile played on her lips. She knew Salvia was capable of making her life disastrous and this is what she had wanted. Violet's hatred was at its peak. She had crossed all her bottom lines. all she wanted was to kill her. for violet to forget her humiliation, Alyssa had to suffer a life worse than hell.

"I wish you were my real mother," Violet whispered with mock sadness.

Violet didn't really care whether Salvia was her mother or not. She never lived without a mother and was showered with unconditional love by Salvia and her husband. Unlike Alyssa, there was no void in her heart. For her, their love was guaranteed. It was like air for her, always present for her, and was valueless.

What if there will be no air for her in the future? That was the thought that never crossed her mind.

She had always thought that it is Salvia's fortune that she found a female Alpha to show off. She always thought that Alyssa is always deserted because she is an Omega.

She never looked at Salvia as her mother. She was her source of power and money and nothing else. Violet knew how to use Salvia to gain everything.

Hearing Violet's question, Salvia remained quiet. She was torn between answering her truthfully or just lying the same lie that she had said all these years. She was afraid that if Violet got to know the truth, she will start hating her. And she will lose the person whom she had loved the most.

Salvia pulled Violet deeper in her embrace and said, "I will be always there for you. And remember that I will always love you."

It was her own way of telling the truth that she had buried in her heart all these years.

*********

Days passed by.

Violet, Salvia, Alyssa, and the rest of the people got buried in their own work. Some started their petty schemes while some started brewing a dangerous scheme in the dark and thus life went on for everybody.

Alyssa's alarm clock chimed and she lazily got up from her bed. She looked at the calendar kept on her nightstand and was startled.

The date was marked by a big red circle. This was the day when she had to meet 'the genius'. This was the name Alyssa had given to the mysterious hacker.

Alyssa looked at the time, it was 9' o clock. She ran towards her bathroom removing pieces of her clothes on her way.

'What was the time of the appointment?'

Alyssa raked her brain for the answer.

'Whatever time it was, she will try to remember it in the train.' with these thoughts she got into her shower.

Wearing a light blue skinny jeans and a black top, Alyssa covered her face with a mask and ran out of her house. She called Noah to meet her at the train station.

Alyssa was on the train to the Fate Alley when she realized something. She was in her usual self. She was meeting who knows what kind of man today and she hadn't taken any precaution against him. How could be she so dumb? She looked at Noah beside her who was dozing off beside her with his mouth ajar.

She shook him to wake him up. Noah groggily opened his eyes and looked at Alyssa. "What?" He said lazily.

Alyssa clenched her jaws and said, "We haven't changed."

Noah had spent the entire night to develop his project. He had slept for only two hours when Alyssa had called him. he was too sleepy and too muddlehead at that time to understand anything.

Noah looked at her and blinked his eyes if confusion, 'What change?' he thought. Was Alyssa referring to a change in the nature of both of them or was she saying about changing of trains?

He looked deeply at Alyssa and said, "I haven't changed, it is you who have changed." With this, his eyelids automatically dropped.

If Alyssa was in a mood to laugh, she would have laughed at this. She was amazed to find Noah's thought process. His capability of understanding something was of a different realm. But now she was panicking. There were only fifteen minutes since the arrival of the train and they have to change fast.

She pinched at Noah's arms with force making him yelp in pain.

"See, you have changed a lot after you started taking martial arts class. You have become violent." Noah complained.

After getting close to disfiguring her face and dying, Alyssa knew that she had to learn some martial arts to save herself from further harm. She knew her enemies are growing strong and she had to save herself from them. The most shocking thing that she found was that the people that had attacked her, went AWOL. Even Count Bright, who was arrested and was kept in prison, was found dead outside the city. This incident had scared her very much. The men that saved her from 'the diseased' were still mysterious. She didn't know whether they were friends or foes.

"Sorry, but it was necessary to clear your head" She apologized. "But I was talking about changing into different clothes so that no one would recognize us." She explained.

"Oh," Noah said after understanding the situation.

He shoved his bag that he had always carried with him to Alyssa and said, "It has makeup and our wigs. Change it."

"How did you have this on you?" Alyssa asked surprised.

"I always have these with me. You are a magnet of trouble bro, so of course, I have to prepare myself for the worst." He said proudly with a smirk.

Alyssa smiled cheekily at him and went to the washroom after grabbing the bag.

She wore a blonde wig and covered her face with makeup. She looked at her body and pulled out a bandage from the bag. She tied the bandage around her chest to give herself a more manly figure. She noted in her mind to buy some thick overcoat to hide her feminine figure.

She came out from the washroom and pushed Noah inside it. Noah, too changed his avatar, the same blonde long hair and contact lens.

They soon arrived at the station and both of them hired a taxi to go to the Garrison House.

Garrison house was the oldest restaurant in the Fate Alley. Its name changed from Garry to Garry and sons with time. And at last, it became Garrison. It was the place where most of the meetings occur. It is a place that doesn't disclose the identity of their customers even when the staff are tortured and killed, or it is said so.

Alyssa had never been to this place. She had always wanted to come here and try their food but it was not a regular restaurant that just provides food to their customer. Unless and until you are not holding a meeting inside it, you won't be allowed to set your foot inside it.

Alyssa and Noah went inside and after providing their code names to the receptionist, they sat on their seats.

"I will sit over there," Alyssa told Noah. She went to a table that was further than their assigned table and sat there. It was the perfect place for her. it was the place from where she can see and monitor every person coming in and out of the restaurant while keeping herself hidden from their views.
