60 The Fight!

Hearing Alexander, Alyssa knew that it was the right time to revel her hypothesis because now everything had started making sense. All the pieces of the puzzle are now in their place.

"I have something to tell all of you," Alyssa said and opened a folder on her laptop.

"I was keeping an eye on the members of the royal family when I found something fishy in the Bright family. Lately, they have become more secretive and closed off, which was very unlike Count Bright. He was a party animal. So, when I dived deeper into their lives, I found that Count Bright used to mobilize his force now and then to different locations without any need. And when his men return back to the capital, there was always a cargo with them. Later I found that that cargo consists of kidnapped men and women. I thought that he was involved in trafficking, and it was not until I found that his son went missing. What surprised me was that even when his son went missing, no one got the wind of it. He secretly mobilizes his force to find his son, which I think is here in King's Town." Alyssa said her piece.

"So, you mean the killer we are after is Victor Bright," Alexander said in conclusion.

"Yes. I can bet my life on it." Alyssa said confidently.

"And Victor is now 'a diseased', so he requires blood to sustain?" Alexander asked.

"Yes," Alyssa replied.

"This is a mess." Alexander sighed.

"It is better than the vampire stories you all were telling about." Sebastian scoffed.

"I am so sorry Seb, for the troubles your kingdom has to face," Alexander replied solemnly. He was indeed guilty. Because of somebody's personal reason, he was even willing to put the future of two kingdoms at stake. He was willing to drive a wedge and hatred between these two kingdoms. 

Sebastian understands him. There is always one or more people like Count Bright in every place. Where their self-interest comes first then the interest of their country.

"So what do we do next?" Noah asked. He was silent the whole time as it was improper for him to speak when the soon to be leaders of two kingdoms were having a conversation with each other.

"Of course we have to punish him for the crimes he had done but it is not that easy. He is a Count. He has both power and a sly mind in addition to that he has a lot of followers, catching him will be very difficult." Alexander said with a sigh. He was familiar with all the people of the court and Count Bright was a tough nut to crack.

"We will not be able to catch him with these evidences," Alyssa said joylessly.

"We have to catch him red-handed in is act," Alexander said. The sun rays hitting on his face made him look more noble and like a future leader of the Coral Bells. Alyssa was dazed for a while but then she smiled knowing that the future of her kingdom is going to be in good hands. She can postpone the idea of the civil war for the time being. Then her eyes chilled over remembering the evil plans that his twin brother Leonard was planning. She looked at Alexander and hoped that he is strong enough to come out victoriously in this war of thrones.

It has been more than two days since the killer had had his fill. Due to strong sedatives, he was completely passed out meanwhile, but Alyssa knew he would wake soon and will need to drink the blood. Count Bright and his men were probably searching for someone to become his meal. Now was the perfect time to catch the culprit in his act.

She wanted the whole nation to watch this, so that Count Bright couldn't be able to back down from this accusation.

She hacked all the CCTVs cameras present outside the house as well as inside the house. She then went ahead and hacked the laptop as well as the mobile phone of the Count Bright. Everything was within her grasp. There will not be a single piece of information that will not pass through her.

Everybody around Alyssa waited and waited some more before they got an interesting piece of information. Count Bright's men have kidnapped a seventeen-year-old girl from a nearby town and they were bringing her in the King's Town.

Alyssa and her team got ready to do some actin. They have two missions on their hand. First, save the girl, and second, expose Count Bright.

They waited for the men to bring the girl inside King's Town before attacking them. Soon, the men entered the border of the King's Town with a cargo. According to the intel, there were only four men around the girl. It was easy to take them down, right?

Alyssa and his team members waited in an alley. They chose this alley because it was long, has two openings, and is generally silent in the dead of the night.

They have already planted spikes on the road as well as kept water barrels on one end of the road to slow them down and make the vehicle stop.

When the vehicle or the cargo truck entered the alley, after covering some distance, all its tires got flat. The driver loses its balance and with a 'thud', it collided with the water tanks, coming to an abrupt halt.

The driver's mate came down from his seat to check the tiers, he swears all the swearing words that he had known in his life after seeing the flat tires.

"Man, this work is really taking so long." He called to the driver. "All the fuc*ing tires are flat. We have to take another vehicle." He said.

He then got to the back and banged the door with his fist. "Hey, we have to take another vehicle to deliver the 'material'. He called out to the person sitting with the hostage.

One of the men opened the back door of the cargo truck and came out for inspection.

"Dam*, we have to wait for them to send someone to fetch the 'material'" he muttered to himself.

The hostage was probably sedated so they were not so worried about her running away, that's why they left the back door open without any hesitation.

"Alyssa, take them hostage. I, Sebastian, and Noah will fight the men." Alexander said distributing their work.

Suddenly out of nowhere three men dressed in black, with their face covered attacked the Count Bright's men. they were Alexander, Noah, and Sebastian. Alyssa waited for them to get more engaged in the fight and silently crept towards the vehicle. She slowly opened the door without making any sound and peeped inside. Except for the hostage, nobody was inside. She took the hostage by her arms and got down the vehicle. Suddenly somebody punched her on her back. Alyssa took a sharp turn and tried to kick her attacker in his guts, but the weight on her was making her movements slow. He was the driver. With one fluid motion, he caught Alyssa's leg and pulled her making her fall on the ground with the hostage.

Meanwhile, everything was displayed on the live stream. As the time passed, the numbers of the viewers increased.

The man sat on Alyssa and started punching on her face. Alyssa's hands were tangled with that of the hostage and with the weight of the driver on her, she was not able to breathe.

On the other side of the fight, Alexander, Sebastian, and Noah were having one on one fight with the remaining men. Alexander and Sebastian had taken military training which is compulsory for the royals, so they were not in a disadvantageous position. The attackers were on the same level as them so they were taking some time to subdue them. But it was different for Noah. He was having trouble to subdue his opponent. His opponent punched him in the guts making Noah bend down in pain. Then his opponent kicked his face making Noah fall on the ground. He picked Noah up and slammed his head hard on the vehicle. Everything was blurry in front of him. blood started pouring out from his head and mouth soaking the black cloth around his face.
