Chapter 253: The tension is nearing

Morning came, Jin woke up from his bed and headed to the bathroom to wash his face. From there, he saw his haggard face from the battle from the previous from yesterday. After washing his face, he heads down and saw that all the group have already finished eating breakfast.

"Sir, we have finished our tasks. Because we did not disturb you because we know everyone is tired and exhausted from the battle yesterday."

Fang Shirong said while drinking a glass of water. Then he added, "The town's folk gave us some food and said it was an offering for us to eat. But before we ate, we checked it for contaminations and it was all good."

Jin nodded and began munching the food that was on the table. After 20 minutes, they all packed up and drove to their destination. They reached the checkpoint and when they arrived; they saw the border check point that it fortified well.

"What happened here? It seems something happened a few days ago." Li Xiaosheng commented and then Wen Xin saw a poster that was posted. "Sir, I think I know what happened." And Jin looked at the back and said, "What happened?" he asked with a calm voice.

"Maskara has fallen to the Black Lion Pride and the N.D.A.M and the Southern government is currently in the clash." Wen Xin replied to Jin, "Damn, we just left Maskara, and now it's at the hands of the Black lion Pride. Well, I guess that the failure of their strategic command." Fang Shirong stated.

"Han Zian," Jin whispered, and then he looked at Fang Shirong and said, "Han Zian is in Maskara" Fang Shirong look back at Jin with an unsuspected face. "What the heck do you mean Han Zian is in Maskara? We need to go back then!" fang Shirong was about to steer the wheel to maneuver the APC to turn course.

"We cannot go back because we have already set the date for the Safe Zone Echo. They are expecting our arrival. We can no longer go AWOL, and Han Zian knows how to fight those scums. And I am sure he won't be going to get caught by those scums." Jin stated, even though he wants to go back and Han Zian, he can't because he knows for himself that.

When they reached the last check point a guard stood in front of the APC. And all the guards were raising their guns for the ready.

"Sir, I think we are not welcome at the border," Fang Shirong stated, and looked into the eyes of the guards. Jin opened the door and with a calm voice he said, "Sir, here are the identifications of all of us here." Jin handed, and the guard looked at him in the eye as if he was trying to intimidate Jin.

``This person is trying to intimate me, he just looks like a beggar from some recruit that wanted to get promoted.`` Jin thoughts while looking at the guard. After that, the guard turns around and walks away far from the APC.

The guards check on the monitor screen the identification, after 20 minutes, the guard came back and said "You are from the N.D.A.M?" and Jin replied with "Yes, Sir we are from the N.D.A.M" and the guard nodded. Then the guard handed the identification before letting the 2 APCs move forward.

"Finally, we have entered the eastern region." Jin said while stepping on the gas and the APC moving down the road with some vehicles they see are from the battle back in the Northern region. "I feel the battle in Maskara was hellish" Li Xiaosheng commented, "War is always hellish and the war with the monsters is also hellish." Qin Shanyuan added to what Li Xiaosheng have said.

After 4 hours on the road, they have reached the new Safe Zone Echo. They were all amazed at how the Safe Zone is constructed.

"Damn those walls are really up high, it seems the people inside are wealthy enough to upgrade their walls like this." Fang Shirong stated while looking in front where there are also a lot of humvees and trucks are trying to get inside of the Safe Zone.

"It seems the place getting crowded by the time," Fang Shirong commented. And soon enough, the APC is at the checkpoint. The guard that walks towards them knocked jin's door. Jin opened the door and salutes, the guard then said,

"Please hand me the verification of this vehicle and the vehicle is at the back and all the identification. As you are in a military type vehicle. Entering the city may cause some disturbance. Please coordinate with us accordingly."

Jin then nodded and showed the guard an authorization letter from the Tower of the Safe Zone Echo, and the identification of each of the individual inside the APC's. And when the checkpoint guard saw each of the identification, he saluted at Jin and signaled the other gate guard to open the gate for the 2 APC. Took back the documents and stepped on the gas. Then they entered the new establish Safe Zone Echo.

Upon entering the safe Zone Echo there they saw how magnificent it was, then the old Safe Zone Delta.

"It seems there are still a lot billboards of famous players and users in the Safe Zone," Fang Shirong commented and Jin replied with "it is for recruitment, the more people join the military the more they gain power."

Jin replied, and I also amazed the rest of at the back as it was their first time entering such city.

"This place is so damn amazing. There are many people and things around. Compare to Maskara, this place is in distinct improvements and different class"

Li Xiaosheng exclaimed as he saw many people wearing original dresses and uniforms. After a while, the APCs entered a tunnel. And then they got transported to a scenery view which then the new base of the N.D.A.M in Safe Zone Echo.

The checkpoint again stopped the APC and after giving out the valid documents; they were let to pass. Jin parked the APC at the near depot, where all the armored trucks were to be parked. "Alright time. Get it off from the APC and walked towards the SQUAD headquarters for the registration and reenlistment."

Jin ordered. Jin stepped out from the driver's seat and then smell the fresh air. But because of how different their uniforms are, they are being stared at by normal N.D.A.M forces. "Hey who are those guys?" one staff of the depot whispered to his buddy.

"I think they are part of a sort of squad outside? I dont know their armor seems made of just normal things and nothing special. Even though they have the APC, I think that kind of APC is stolen"

Li Xiaosheng over heard what the staff depot have said and walked towards the depot staff. "Do you have problems with us, buddy?" Li Xioasheng said with a gazing eyes like he was about to kill the two depot staff. The two depot staff sacredly run from Li Xioasheng. He turned around and there he sees Qin Shanyuan gazing at him for doing what he did. He approached Qin Shanyuan and said.

"They're the one who started all of that," He said to make his action valid. "You should have disregard their comments." Qin Shanyuan replied. Turning around and then following Jin, who has already walked pass by them.

When they walked out of the depot, Jin saw Wu Meng. Wu Meng was standing looking at Jin. "Ho? Is it my old pal Ru Jin!?" Wu Meng looked at Jin as if he was boasting. Jin stopped and the same with the others behind him.

"Sir, do you know this person?" Fang Shirong asked and Jin replied, "yeah he is the stupid bully that once wants to fight with me when I was in the academy."

"So you remember now! Well now, you know who to follow!" he pointed at the people behind Jin and smirked and then added,

"I am Wu Meng for others who want to know. And to add, I am the son of the great influencer Wu Zhou, my father. Now I am a player, well my skills are simply guns" Wu Meng smiled while looking at Jin and his weapon. Jin smiled and said, "if you are that smart, then I forgot what is your rank here?"

Wu Meng smiled and said, "With these people behind me, I am a Specialist I and I am a Squire Squad leader. And one of the best Squire Squad leader" the members at the back of Wu Meng smiled as they are boasting.

Soon enough the Red blood Armored Knight appeared at the side. Wu Meng looked at the Red blood Armored Knight and said, "What is this, your force? What rank are you? Huh!"

"My rank nothing simple. For what I know on this document, specified it as Lieutenant." Jin smiled after saying his rank, "What how! How the hell are you, lieutenant!" Wu Meng furiously shouted. Jin then continued to walk towards Wu Meng, and Jin was slowly walking towards Wu Meng, his intent to kill aura grow larger and larger.

Meanwhile, Wu Meng's confidence slowly became smaller. Jin then stood in front of Wu Meng. "Stand aside, specialist," Jin ordered with his daring gaze at Wu Meng's eyes.

Wu Meng can't do anything and stepped aside while Jin's entire group walk pass by Wu Meng group. "Sir, that is your old bully. He looks weak. And from what I analyze, he seems weaker than a type 1 Lone spiked wolf. How did that person became a squire squad leader?"

Jin looked at fang Shirong. "Simply maybe his father donated a lot in this institution."
