Chapter 250: Death is coming

"Death is coming," Fang Shirong whispered and leap forward, slashing the Lone spiked wolf that was too wounded to raise its claws or open its mouth to bite. The blood gushed out from the wound that Fang Shirong have slashed.

Because of fear, the last two lone spiked wolves retreated. And when the other saw that the Lone spiked wolves retreat, they all sighed in relief.

Jin lowers down his FXR-Raven and walked towards to Fang Shirong, tapping his shoulder. "Keep it up buddy, we need to go back and rest."

He said after he slings his FXR-Raven. They all went back to the APC where Zia Tengfei was healing the fatigue that Cai Dinxiang and Dai Lanfen feeling. Especially the exhaustion from travel and the fight.

The day ended, and they all taken camp near to one of the abandoned houses in the town. Jin was on the second floor while Fang Shirong was on the 1st floor of the house. Jin puts down his FXR-Raven on the bed where he was about to sleep. He looked at the window and stare at the stars for a moment.

"Battle's needs meaning, and we need to train hard to survive. I feel there is a lot more to what the Ultima Change offers. And I want to know that for my goal, for now I have noticed that my father can be the known rebel cell leader. And my grandparents' whereabouts are still unknown. Soon my goals are to be reached with these people with me. I sure can." Jin looks back to the bed and lies down, ending the day.

[Next morning]

Jin woke up and headed towards the bathroom where there was running water. "Luckily, this house still has running water. Or else we need to buy water bottles in the global market, which is damn pricey."

Jin exclaimed before finishing up and drying his face. The team once again gathers at the APC. Jin was standing in front of them and said, "We are going almost near the border of the East Region and Northern Region, so we are going to stop in another city. Or should we head towards the checkpoint with no stop point?"

Fang Shirong then suggested, "Well, we can go straight ahead to the checkpoint and kill as many Type 2 Lone spiked wolves and other monsters as we can run up to. I know we can easily kill them." Then Cai Dinxiang, second Fang Shirong opinion, Jin nodded, and they all entered the APC. Jin was the one driving while, beside him, was Fang Shirong.

"Hey Sir, did we call the Red Blood Armored knights?" Fang Shirong looked at Jin. And Jin stepped on the breaks, "Hol- we left them back in Maskara." Jin then turns around and called Wen Xin. "Hey, Wen Xin, can you contact the red blood armored knights?"

Jin ordered, and all of them at the back were also got shocked that they have forgotten the other Red Blood Armored Knights. "Sir, I have contacted the Red Blood Armored knights, and they have answered that they are currently a few miles back at our APC."

Then Fang Shirong said, "Sir we should wait for them to catch up onto us." Jin then looked at Fang Shirong and said, "Alright we can wait for them here at this town. Wen Xin send our coordinates, tell them to move faster." Wen Xin then nodded and started typing on the communication box monitor.

After 3 hours of waiting, the APC stopped beside Jin APC. "Right, we are heading towards the checkpoint. Tell them to refill their gas at the gas station. We are going to wait for them," Jin ordered, and Wen Xin tapped his comms that were wrapped around his neck.

[Radio: This is Comms the Squad leader ordered to refill your APC gas tank before we move towards the border checkpoint over]

[Radio: Copy that, Comms, we are heading back to the gas station over and out]

After 30 minutes, the APC comes back with a full tank of gas. It was already around 12 pm when they stopped at the abandoned field of an old farm. "I guess we are in the countryside now of a city." Wen Xin stated as he tried to peek from the glass. Then a bullet suddenly grazes at the armor of the APC. Cai Dinxiang quickly manned the machine gun turret and aimed at the shooter.

"What the heck a person is firing at us with a rifle, sir? What shall we do" Cai Dinxiang asked for orders as he put his finger at the trigger. Then another shot hits the armor of the APC. The APC where the Red Blood armored Knights move forward and the gunner already aimed at the shooter and waiting for orders.

"Wen Xin asses the Red blood armored Knights to use their binoculars and tell them how many shooters." Jin ordered, and Wen Xin quickly relied on the orders. After 2 seconds the Red blood armored Knights replied, "Sir according to the fireteam leader, the enemy shooter that is currently firing at us, is a single man with an old rifle." Wen Xin replied while looking at Jin.

"We don't want to waste any ammo. We are going to move forward. Tell the Red Blood Armored knights to move forward a few clicks from this place." Jin ordered as he was waiting for the APC in front to move. After relaying the orders, the APC in front moves forward.

After 20 minutes, Jin ordered Wen Xin to relay an order to stop and with that, the APC in front stopped and all of them get off from the APC.

Jin quickly stepped out from the APC and all the Red blood Armored Knight Fireteam leaders walk up to him. And said, "Sir, even though you left us there and we know we are not that skilled in terms of tactics and firepower. Please accepts our sincere loyalty to serve you sir" and all the Red Blood Armored Knights kneeled in front of Jin.

From the Red Blood armored Knights' loyalty, he felt the being able to sit on the Bullet Throne with this kind of force under him.

"Raise your heads. That was only the first part of the training. Next time, don't get late, so you guys won't be left out," Jin stated while looking at them with an authoritative gaze. Then they all replied with "Yes, Sir!" after that they all set up camp.

While they were setting up some camp, a car drove pass by their encampment and stopped near the fire. Then 3 armed men stepped out from the car and walked towards the campfire. They were not wearing that much armor on them.

As they look like a militia force that were guarding a privately owned land. As for their weapons, it looks like they bought their weapons from the Black Market dug out. They all stood up, arming themselves.

The 3 armed men smiled and said "This place is a private property, do you know that?!" the man in the middle shouted while looking at all of them. Their faces are full of dirt, even their uniforms. "What are you even saying? This is a public road, and this place is already abandoned?" Li Xiaosheng answered the armed man.

"You don't tell me what is and what is not!? We are the laws here!" the 2 armed men aimed at them. The 3 armed men came to the campfire. The Red blood Armored Knight was hunting some food near to the campfire.

Then 3 armed men looked at Jin. "Hey you!" the middle man shouted as Jin looked up and smiled. "Who is the leader here!?" the armed man asked with an authoritative voice.

"Well, I am the leader here. How can I help you, sir? We are just staying for now. We are moving out after a few hours. As we are going to stay here for long." Jin replied calmly, as he knows that aggressiveness of those 3 will only provoke blood shed.

"Well then, if that is the case, you need to pay us 2 thousand gold," the man in the middle ordered. Jin has already unlocked the lock for both of dual pistols. Jin looked at Fang Shirong and said, "Have you picked up the money?"

With those words, Fang Shirong already knows what is about to happen. So he quickly unsheathes one of his dagger and quickly throws it at the head of the armed man in the middle while Jin pulled out both of his pistols from the holster and pull the trigger from both of the pistols putting each bullet on two of the armed men at the back.

In mere 20 seconds, the 3 armed men dropped to the ground while their blood is pouring out from the holes and wound.

When the Red Blood Armored Knight came back, all of them have meat and some veggies on their rucksack. "Nice harvest, boys," Fang Shirong smiled as he pulled the dagger from one of the armed man's forehead.
