Chapter 246: Failed Decision

[General Directorate Office]

"Tell me how can we reclaim that kind of humiliation in front of the mayor!" the General slammed the table in anger.Then he looked at the Head Communication officer that was standing firm beside him. "What are you looking at aren't you supposed to contact the N.D.A.M and request further support on our full on attack on the enemy as to reclaim Jelkala!?" the general angry tone of voice.

"Sir, the N.D.A.M diplomat is still responding to our call. We should halt the advance for now and check for our resources. And then we can plan another siege when they least expected it. For now, I am sure they are expecting a retaliation for our loss. I am sure they are craving for the 1st attack we will order."

The Head communication officer suggested and replied to the general. The General looked at the head communication officer and grabbed by the collar.

"What did I tell you!? Did I tell you to contact the N.D.A.M diplomat and not bother the strategies here. You are a lowlife communication officer and that is all we have the brains for the strategy. Am I understood?" the communication officer calmed himself and looked at the General. "Yes, Sir" and the General let him go. Then the door opened and black officers with an intelligence logo entered the general directorate.

The general looked at the Death Squad standing in front of him. "Who or-" and before the general finished his words, one Death Squad member decapitates the general. The General head flew across the table rolling before dropping on the floor. The whole body knelt down while the blood was like a fountain gushing out.

"According to the Decree and the direct order of the Mayor. The next line for the General rank will be the head communication officer of the General Directorate. Starting today, the Head Communication officer will be the acting General until this problem resolved. And thus the General Directorate, given a 3 months until they complete the mission of recapturing Jelkala"

The Minister of Intelligence, entered the room while saying those words. While looking at each of the staff and communication officer inside the office.

"It seems it's messy here. Please fix everything. Boys pick up the body. We are dragging that to the incineration," the death squad replied. "Yes, Sir" and the two deaths quad members grabbed the arms while the other 2 were at the back carrying the legs and the feet.

After the Minister of intelligence and the Death Squad left the office. All the staff and communication officers looked at the Head Communication officer.

"There is no time to waste. I want all data regarding the financial status we have, the current manpower we have. For both Purple and Black Armored knights, then followed by air support and armored tanks. Then for communication I want half of the communication officers are focusing on the contact of the N.D.A.M diplomat and the tower of Safe Zone Alpha. And then the other half will concentrate on the oversee of Jelkala from above."

The Head communication officer ordered.

"As of now, contact the mayor. Tell him that we will cancel the attack for now, because the enemy is expecting that we are going to attack. Report that left Staff." He said while looking at the window on the table that turned up.

With that, the day ended and the General Directorate needs to finish the planing and the resource gathering for their second wave of fight, which is larger compared to the first one that they attacked with the SQUAD.

[SQUAD BARRACKS]

After 20 minutes, all of them get geared up. They pack their bags with all the things they needed for the journey. Luckily, the military has given them an APC which then they will use to travel to Safe Zone Echo.

"We are finally heading out, boys. Say bye to your lockers because we are going to welcome the tropical breeze of desert wind." Jin stated while looking at each of the candidates that were all geared up and ready to leave the underground base.

Jin turns around and opened the door. There they saw 2 officers of the Black Armored Knight with a monitor. And then they said, "The new General of the General Directorate wants to re hire with this amount of money. Hope it will suffice."

The officer said with a calm tone of voice. But Jin looked at the Black Armored Knight and replied with "I am sorry, I am no longer interested. The last mission was the last for me and for this. group thank you very much for the offer you have given me"

After that, the 2 Black Armored Knights back off and let the group pass. "Why did you let them pass?" the other black armored knight officer who was beside the one who offered the contract of retirement of the SQUAD for mercenary purposes.

"You did not see his eyes? Its like he was about to kill me with a simple gaze. Damn, those Players are really damn scary." The black armored knight stated.

Jin and the group walked down the hallway, with no one bothering them. But there were still some eyes that were looking because of their gear and patches. When they reach the end of the hallway and the place where the elevators were located, they all looked at each other.

"I think we are going into a new world. Right Wen Xin?" Dai Lanfen stated while Cai Dinxiang was at the back with Qin Shanyuan and Li Xiaosheng talking about how they were going to such places once more.

"I-I am-am not that sure Dai Lanfen imagine being able to fight monsters. I need a lot of training to defeat one," Wen Xin stated while clenching his fist. Jin looked at the back and then he remembers the team that was used to happy when they were going out of the underground base. Then Fang Shirong tapped his shoulder and said.

"Sir, the door has opened." With that, Jin turns back to the front and walked inside of the elevator.

When they were all inside the elevator, it was all quiet when Cai Dinxiang break the bitter silence. "We are heading to the Safe Zone Echo. That means a new brand of leadership and a more military way of approach. Are we going to survive?" Cai Dinxiang turns around and looks at Fang Shirong. "If you survive the Hell months, then you probably survive,"

Fang Shirong replied with a smirk, and Jin smiled. "At least one of us is going to watch someone getting a lot of eyes on" Jin stated and the elevator door opens and they all walked out, then they were all dazzled by the light that was shinning down from the glass door from above of the barracks.

"I really hate this dazzling light. It's not helping while stepping on the stairs. When they all reached the barracks, they all felt the breeze of hot weather because of the wind and the sand that was surrounding the base. "Well, let's go. We are going to late for our first daily ceremony." Jin said while heading towards the door where the APC was waiting for them.

They all get on the APC, Jin stepped on the gas and the APC drives on. After 2 hours of driving and travelling, they all stopped at the town of Revegon. The town was like others abandoned. It was about lunchtime when they reached the town.

That is why the group takes turns eating. Some need to guard while some needs to eat. The first group to guard was Jin, Fang Shirong and Cai Dinxiang while Li Xiaosheng, Qin Shanyuan, Dai Lanfen, Wen Xin and Zia Tengfei all ate together inside the APC.

Jin stepped out, and he already felt something was about to happen. So he whispered "Zero Eye Blue Bullet" and then a blue tab appeared in front of him [Zero Eye Blue bullet has been activated by the Bullet Heir]

After that his left eye changes into a cross-hair like eye and it glows soft yellow. And now he can see through walls. He can also see heat signatures of both humans and monsters. And he could see in a 3 dimensional view point. With a 360 degrees visible and 20 km radius.

"Holy- mother" Jin saw an entire herd of ground rats heading towards the town. "Fang Shirong, get inside. We are leaving this town. Cai Dinxiang, I want you to man the guns now!" Jin ordered with a distress in his voice.

"Sir, what is happening?" Fang Shirong's question and Jin answered with "We are going stat farming, of course!" Jin smiled, and Li Xiaosheng and Qin Shanyuan heard about Stat Farming. I shocked even Zia Tengfei when she heard that as she was munching on her food.

Jin droves out of the town and towards to a high ground, not that high, but it will oversee the entire city and its open field at the side.

When the APC reach the higher ground, all of them stepped out of the APC. And there they saw how many ground rats were running towards the city. "Why are they heading towards the town?" Wen Xin asked.

Jin then pointed, "because of those stupid guys from the back," and they all saw the 2 trucks that were heard the ground rats.

Which the trucks were raising the flag of the Black Lion Pride guild. "Sir, are we sure we need to eliminate them?" Dai Lanfen questioned and Jin replied, "Well, we always will and we will never stop until every single damn rebel is dead."

Jin raised his FXR-Raven and then whispered "Deep Breath" and the while mainframe of the FXR-Raven let out a soft glow of pink.
