405 Brianna at Reynolds Media 4

Name:Accident Prone Author:RedSonia
"Do you care to explain what that was?", Quentin asked Kendra without greeting her.

Kendra stiffened when she heard Quentin's icy voice. She forced a smile and turned to face him, and her smile fell when she saw that Brianna is also present.

They came from the other door. Is that Brianna's office now? That didn't sit well with Kendra. Why is Brianna getting more and more tangled in Quentin's life? So far, Kendra was Brianna-free at work, and now… will Brianna be here as well? When will Kendra have Quentin for herself?

Without Brianna around, Kendra was at least able to pretend that things are back to normal and she has a chance to get back with Quentin.

"Can we talk in private?", Kendra asked when she saw that both Quentin and Brianna stood in front of Quentin's desk and looked her way.

Kendra was irked that they didn't let go of each other's hands.

"If your question was if my wife can leave, the answer is no.", Quentin said dryly. "I asked you a question. Why did you go to the talent training department? Did you have any work there? As my assistant, I would expect that you perform tasks I provide, or to wait for me to give you instructions. Did you go there only to intimidate those models? What were you thinking, Kendra?"

Kendra's eyes darted from Quentin to Brianna, and she wondered, why is Quentin bringing up her attitude toward models, and not toward Brianna? Kendra saw her as a sign that Quentin does not care much about Brianna. However, no matter what, there is no way she will admit it. "I didn't intimidate them."

Quentin's eyebrows shoot up in surprise. How can she lie in his face? Did she forget that he was right there and he saw everything? "I also heard that it was not the first time."

Kendra had a pitiful expression. "Q, we go back a long way. I am your assistant for more than five years. Do you believe those girls over me?"

"No. But I believe my eyes, and what I saw this morning was not pleasant.", Quentin said, and he continued before Kendra could say anything: "You know that my intention was to give them a good environment, like a second home, with an intention to create loyalty and a place they will return to. What you did goes against it."

"I am sorry. It will not happen again.", Kendra said and plastered a tight smile on her face.

Quentin gave a small nod, but his cold expression was not approving.

"I know it will not happen. The HR department is processing your severance package and I expect you to pack your personal belongings and leave this building within half an hour."

Kendra looked at Quentin in disbelief. "You are firing me? Because of one mistake?"

At Quentin's words, all Kendra's ships sunk, and she was left with nothing. There was no bright path ahead, and she had nothing to lose. Did he think that she will leave quietly? "Professional relationship? Is that what you call sleeping with me?"

Quentin felt a knot in his throat and the only thing keeping him from strangling Kendra was the fact that Brianna was still holding onto his hand.

"Kendra, that was a long time ago and I made it clear that we are done. You said that you can focus on your work and forget about it, and I believed you."

Kendra frowned when she saw that Brianna's expression didn't crack. Is it possible that Brianna knew about Quentin and Kendra? And she is fine with that?

Kendra snorted at Quentin. "Forget about it? That might be easy for you because you washed away the memory of me with numerous women that were eager to spread their legs for you. Did you think that any of them cared for you? The only thing they hoped for was to land another deal, another cover. You were their ticket to get there and you abused your position without flinching. You never cared about me. You never cared about any woman except…" Kendra glared at Brianna. "It's you. Isn't it? Because of you, he is letting me go."

"Don't put your mistakes on my wife!", Quentin warned Kendra.

Kendra was livid. Quentin raised his voice at her because of Brianna! "Wife? What a joke! When did you meet her? A few months ago? Q, we know each other for so much longer! She is tricking you! Can't you see it? She will never be faithful to you the way I am!"

"So what?", Brianna asked mockingly. "How dare you compare yourself to me? I needed only a few months to marry him, yet you can't keep your job as his lapdog after five years even after sleeping with him. You must be a crappy assistant or a lousy fuck. Probably both."

Kendra's eyes flashed in outrage and she lunged toward Brianna.

'SLAP!'

A heavy slap landed on Kendra's face, freezing her in place.

Kendra looked at Quentin in disbelief. "You hit me!"

Quentin moved to stand between Kendra and Brianna.

"That is my wife you were going for. Consider yourself lucky that I slapped you instead of using my fist. Now get out before I change my mind." Quentin saw that Kendra is not moving, so he added. "Don't test me, Kendra. I might file charges and put you in jail for an attempted assault on my wife. If you are not out of this building in half an hour, the security will kick you out."

Kendra's mind was spinning, and she had no idea how she managed to leave Quentin's office.

Quentin went after Kendra and stopped at the desk of his secretary. "Effective immediately, Kendra Braun is not an employee of Reynolds Media. I gave her half an hour to get her personal belongings and leave the building. Inform security to keep an eye on her."

The secretary nodded in confirmation and grabbed her phone to call security.

Quentin returned to his office nervous, unsure how Brianna will react after this scene. He relaxed when he observed Brianna's smile.

"You look happy."

"Hmm… My husband fought for me. I didn't know you hit women."

"Don't expect from me to be a gentleman when someone is after you. I will not allow anyone to harm you, regardless of their gender. As for fighting, I did that on Friday also, with the big guy in the alley.", Quentin reminded her.

"But this woman is more dangerous than that guy.", Brianna said. "Do you think this is over? She looks like a manic type who does not know when to give up."

Quentin agreed. "I will get someone to watch over her. She will not get a chance to get close to any of us."

Brianna took Quentin's hand into hers, and carefully inspected his palm which he used to slap Kendra. "Does it hurt?"

Quentin thought that he can take advantage of the situation. "Ugh… it's excruciating. I need some hugs and kisses to make it better."

Brianna giggled. "Come to my office, and I will see what I can do."

Quentin smirked. "Your office… I like the sound of that. Brianna Harper, director of finances. Or maybe Brianna Reynolds, director of finances. Both are fine, but I prefer the second one. We didn't talk about it, but would you consider changing your last name? Then you can be mine completely in body, soul, and in name…"

Brianna ignored Quentin's chattering. The way he handled Kendra got her excited and they had time to spare but she had no intention to discuss the name change.

Brianna passed through the door that connects their two offices and threw him a glance over her shoulder. "Lock the door behind you, I will get the other one. I want to treat your hand in private, without anyone interrupting us."

Quentin licked his lips slowly at the sound of her seductive invitation. "It seems to be a sensitive treatment."

"Mhm…", Brianna hummed in confirmation. "We have more than half an hour until the board meeting, and we should not be disturbed until then, or the treatment might fail."

Quentin locked the door and turned toward Brianna. With only about half an hour left, every minute counts. Ah, they didn't do it in this office and there are so many new places to explore. His eyes darted around. Sofa? Desk? Floor? Coffee table? Windowsill?

He saw that Brianna approached the sofa chair and she wiggled her finger as a silent invitation for him to come and sit. It seems that his fiery Goddess will be on top.

Quentin had no objections.

Quentin unbuttoned his pants with urgency and stumbled those last few steps, making Brianna giggle when he plopped butt-naked on the sofa chair with pants around his ankles.

"Impatient?", Brianna teased him as she unzipped her skirt.

"For you? Always… Let me show you some of the additional benefits you will get as the director of finances…"

Brianna felt his fingers wrapping over the side-edge of her panties.

"Don't…", she exhaled helplessly at the sight of what used to be her panties on the floor. "…rip them."

Quentin chuckled and pulled her on top of him.

"I have spare panties for you in my inner pocket.", he spoke against her lips and then gave her a searing kiss which was the start of a crazy ride.

They were late for the board meeting, but no one dared to say anything. The bosses were in a good mood and they didn't want to change that.
