Chapter 477 - The Symposium (3)

Max and Liz chatted over dinner and Liz asked Max to talk about his work because her anxiousness was swelling since she was unable to stop thinking about the conference and her upcoming talk.

Max shook his head helplessly. "Is the colorful water-show below not able to distract you?"

Liz knew that Max was talking about the water fountain show in front of their hotel which can be viewed fully from their penthouse suite. "It's wonderful, but I saw it three times while practicing my speech. I know that each show is different, but in the end, is just water jets shooting water in the rhythm of the music and the wow factor is fading away as my anxiousness is increasing."

"It might be better if we watch it together… Look, one is starting right now…", Max stood up and offered his hand to Liz, silently inviting her to join him in front of the massive window so that they can have a better view of the show which is thirty-two floors below them.

Liz smiled and placed her hand in Max's. She allowed him to guide her to the specific spot in the living area, close to the window, and she enjoyed it when he embraced her from behind.

"This is much better…", Liz said softly. "Everything with you is better."

Max rested his chin on her shoulder and hummed in approval of her words. He feels the same, his life is better with her in it.

At the corner-table, there were binoculars that guests of the suite can use to see the details, but the fountain is massive, and magnification is not necessary in order to enjoy the show.

Liz felt Max's hug tightening around her and she leaned into his embrace. She tilted her head slightly and brushed her face against his.

"I don't know what I enjoy more, the show below or your proximity…", Liz voiced her thoughts and she hoped that Max knows that she enjoys Max's hug more than anything.

At her words, Max got an idea and a sly smirk appeared on his face.

Liz felt him reach for her hip and undo the zipper of her skirt.

"There is no need to choose, sugar…", Max said while pushing her skirt down together with her panties and her heart jumped when she heard that endearment 'sugar' which signified the beginning of a wild ride. Ah, just hearing him call her 'sugar' got her heated up!

"Enjoy both…" He pushed her against the window and kissed her neck while his hands caressed her body.

"Ahh…", Liz exhaled loudly and closed her eyes. Who cares about the fountains?

Max reached between her legs and his finger slipped between her folds. He hummed in approval when he felt how wet she was.

He pulled her to take two steps back before pushing her to bend toward the window.

Liz extended her hands and pressed her palms against the glass for support.

Max's palms traced the outline of her body and she felt his hot and hard shaft rubbing against her behind.

'SLAP!'

Max slapped her butt cheek harshly and sharp pain radiated as it turned into pleasure in an instant.

Liz squirmed and a moan escaped her lips even though she was biting them to suppress her sounds.

She felt the familiar pressure at the cradle of her thighs and the sensation of him filling her up.

"Watch the show, sugar...", Max hummed.

Liz opened her eyes, but she was unable to focus on the water show below. How could she think of anything other than Max who was pounding himself inside her fiercely? And he knew exactly what she needed to touch the heaven.

Liz's body arched and she pressed her face against the cold glass. She clawed the smooth surface of the window while trying to grab onto something as the climax trashed her insides and she was happy that Max held onto her hips firmly because her legs were wobbly.

Max came a few thrusts later with a loud groan and she felt him plant a kiss on her shoulder.

"How was it?"

Liz laughed weakly. "The best show ever…"

Max pulled out and Liz felt a tickle as his juices dripped from her core. Her eyes widened when she saw the mess on the floor between her legs.

She wanted to wipe it off because it was embarrassing to leave it for the hotel staff to see, but before she moved, Max scooped her in his arms and carried her to the bedroom. He had every intention to keep her mind and body busy so that she does not think about the upcoming presentation or anything else (other than him).

~ Las Vegas ~

June 24

11:56 AM

Dr. Snow was not in a good mood since morning.

Liz didn't call him last night for dinner, and he tried not to be bothered by it. Normally, he would socialize with other guests to pass time, but now he knew that Liz was nearby, and all his thoughts were directed her way. No amount of friendly chatter was enough to distract him from thinking about Liz and he nearly called her on several occasions.

In the morning he came early, and he checked all the restaurants that were open for breakfast only to see that Liz was not there. Did she order breakfast in her room? That was highly possible. Or did she sleep in?

He went to attend morning presentations, with the hope to see Liz, but she didn't show up there either.

It was after 10 AM when he lost his patience and sent her a text message: "Is everything alright?"

Liz responded after about one minute: "Why wouldn't it be?"

Dr. Snow realized his blooper. Liz came to Las Vegas to deliver her presentation which was in the afternoon and that didn't mean she will attend other presentations.

Now what? Liz texted him back with a question and there is no way he will say how his only agenda was to see her and that his lack of patience got the best of him.

He decided on half-truth as he typed a lengthy response: "I am in the presentation hall and I assumed that you will be here. For a moment, I thought that your presentation is in the morning and when I didn't see you, I got concerned that something happened, preventing you from coming. Now I confirmed that your turn is at 3 PM. I'm sorry for disturbing you."

"Thanks for checking. We will be down for lunch in Bellavita in 10 minutes.", Liz's response came a few seconds later.

Dr. Snow perked up. Liz is coming down for lunch, and she even told him the name of the restaurant which means that he is welcome to join.

He read Liz's message twice, trice… and then he frowned at the detail. 'We will be down…'

He read it again. 'WE will be down…'

His mind exploded when he realized: 'WE!?'

Just who the heck is that 'WE'? Is Isaac here? Oh, that can't be good because last time when he saw Isaac they ended up falling out. Well, maybe he could use this opportunity to mend their relationship. After all, both Dr. Snow and Isaac are medical professionals and this is a professional setting (almost), and both of them are here to support Liz, so they can bond over their common points of interest (surgery and Elizabeth). It will be just like many other times when Dr. Snow and Isaac met at various events before Dr. Snow worked at Franciscan Medical Center in Seattle.

But something didn't sound right. If Isaac is here, he would definitely attend presentations. If he came here all the way from New York, he would make the most of it, and not linger with Liz in her room (or his).

Dr. Snow closed his eyes and cursed internally when he realized who the person is behind that 'we': Max. Why else would Liz skip on dinner and breakfast (or coop in her room for those) while in Vegas, if not for Max?

Dr. Snow balled his hands into fists. He never hated a person before he met Max. That lecherous playboy made his way into Liz's life and her heart and she is so pure that she does not see it.

Dr. Snow still remembers how Max degraded him, provoked him, insulted him, punched him, and… he lost Liz to that despicable man. But that does not mean that Dr. Snow lost his will to fight for her.
