In just a short while, more than half of the foam on Du Xi’s head had dissipated. The muffled feeling on his head made him very uncomfortable. Du Xi was too lazy to go back, so he planned to wash his hair here.

Jiang Ju wanted to refuse, but the man closed the bathroom’s door and didn’t give her a chance to speak at all. When the sound of running water came from the bathroom, her face turned red as she stood at the door. Du Xi, who had changed into his pants, walked out. When he saw her frightened expression, he sneered. “Why is your face so red? Did you peek at me when I was showering?”

Jiang Ju was enraged that he actually blamed her, but she couldn’t say the words on the tip of her tongue. She blushed profusely. He was the one who didn’t close the door when changing his clothes, yet he blamed her. How shameless!

After Du Xi wiped his body with a towel, he placed it on his shoulder. Then, he reached out and poked the tip of Jiang Ju’s nose. “What are you made of? Why do you like to blush so much?” When Jiang Ju stole a glance at him, his muscular chest came into view. She was so frightened that she hurriedly closed her eyes.

Suddenly, she felt a sense of warmth approaching her. Du Xi’s body was getting closer and closer, so much so that she didn’t dare to breathe. Just as she felt that a warm breath was about to touch her lips, Du Xi suddenly left with a chuckle and said, “I won’t scare you anymore.”

Jiang Ju opened her eyes and said angrily, “How can you bully me like this?” Du Xi didn’t expect her to speak. He froze for a moment before smiling. “Bully? Young lady, don’t slander me. Did I do anything to you?”

Jiang Ju couldn’t win against him in an argument, so she only glared at him. Du Xi stroked Jiang Ju’s hair with a smile as he said, “Is there anything to eat? I’m hungry.” “The workload at the construction site was heavy. At around five o’clock, he ate two big bowls of rice. After such a short while, he was hungry again. Usually, he would just buy some instant noodles or packaged lunch to eat, but recently, he suddenly didn’t want to make do anymore.

“Nothing much. There are still some leftovers.” Jiang Ju sounded very guilty. Because he said that he might come back for dinner in the future, she specifically made an extra portion for one person when she cooked. She didn’t see him after the meal, so she originally planned to eat the remaining rice tomorrow morning.

Although Du Xi didn’t know the inside story, Jiang Ju couldn’t help but blush when she was suddenly asked. Du Xi only said that he might come back for dinner, but she cared so much about it, as if she really wanted him to eat with her.

“It’s fine. I’m going to eat now. Are you hungry? Do you want to eat together?” As he spoke, he walked to the kitchen. When he opened the rice cooker, he smiled and turned around to ask her, “You’ve cooked so much. Your appetite is quite good today.” This big pot of rice would have been enough for her to eat for at least two days.

He clearly guessed why she cooked so much, but he still teased her. Jiang Ju was so embarrassed that she was about to cry. She stood in the living room with tears glistening in her eyes.
