Chapter 120 - Love

"..Okay, I will let you have a house of your own, but, I will decide where it will be built... how does that sounds?"

Her proposal, made him immediately nod as, it didn't matter where the house would be situated for him. The only thing that mattered, was that he would have enough space to start blacksmithing.

"That sounds quite good"

Saying so, Ethan smiled as, he was still curious to ask Light for clarifications about his skills, but, the fact she wasn't replying to him, was starting to make him worry..

The fact she had no more things to talk about with him, brought Loki to sigh as she went towards the door before opening it.

"We're finished, you can enter..."

Saying these words while a mischievous smile formed on her face, she let Shakti enter while Ethan, busy thinking about why Light wasn't replying, was still dressing,..

The moment Shakti entered the door, she looked at Ethan's c.h.e.s.t as she immediately looked away while furrowing her brows.

"...You are finished..to do what?"

Hearing her asking this question, brought Ethan to blink as he quickly understood the situation.

"She wanted to check my status as well, so, I had no choice but to remove my shirt.."

Saying so, he raised from the bed as he glared at Loki before quickly exiting the room as he had more important things to do, rather than caring about his own goddess' behaviour before the latter closed the door behind herself.

"...Well, now that we are alone, what did you want to talk about?"

Asking this question, Loki went to sit on the chair while Shakti started the conversation...

After exiting Loki's room, Ethan's first thought, was to check in his own restroom if everyone was still there.

'I am worried about Light, but, I'm sure she's just working on our villa..'

With these thoughts in mind, Ethan opened the door as he saw that only Lili and Hestia were in the room. Seeing that Lili was blatantly sniffing his bed, brought him to release a sigh before asking

"...So, I believe you two are still here because you want to talk about something, right?"

Hearing that he was back, made Hestia immediately jump out of the bed.

"Yes!"

Her firm reply, made him nod as he decided to give his fully attention to her as the latter immediately added

"Lili, come here..."

Hearing Hestia calling her, Lili released a yawn before understanding what was going on. After she raised from the bed, unwillingly, she went next to Hestia before the latter added

"First..do you have some free time, like tomorrow?"

Her question, brought him to roll his eyes while thinking about it as, after talking with Hestia and Lili, he still had to talk with Lefiya, Ais, and he wanted to ask Riveria about what their training regime will be, but, he had no plans for tomorrow..

"Yes, I'll be free.."

At this, Hestia replied with a wide smile as she couldn't help but feel happy about it..

"Then, can you bring us to a date..? I believe it should be fine.."

These words, made Lili nod as well as her tail started waving. Seeing this as well, made Ethan smile as he brought a hand on her head, just to pat her.

"...Yes, but, I'm not that knowledgeable about Orario in general, so, you would be the ones to lead me. Is it fine?"

Being asked this question, Lili immediately nodded as, she had no problems about having the lead, or not. For her, the only important thing, was that they would officially go to a date together..

"Yes, it's fine! I will guide you!"

Saying so, Lili raised her head a little to make Ethan able to pat her more while the latter stared at Hestia. Even though it wasn't something Hestia wouldn't do, he was still surprised that the latter would ask him so blatantly, but, he decided to not care about it as he added

"Then, I will come to the Abandoned Church by--"

Immediately shaking her head, Hestia added

"We will see each other outside the Hostess of Fertility.."

The fact it made no real difference for him, made him shrug his shoulders.

"Yes, I was just saying because I wanted to make it easier for you, but, if you want to meet at the Hostess of Fertility, it's fine as well"

Remembering about a certain girl that wanted to know if he was fine or not, Ethan knew it was actually better in this way, as, he could just get there early to go and talk with Syr, but, that wasn't enough for him.

'Right, I can go to the Guild as well. I would really like to update Eina of my situation..'

The fact he had to tell her he wouldn't enter the Dungeon for at least some months, made him sigh as he knew that, he had to give her some kind of explanation..

While he was thinking about it, he removed his hand from Lili's head as he added

"Then, we will decide tomorrow where to go..now, I have to go"

His words, made Hestia nod while Lili wanted to be patted more, but, she still remembered about Hestia's words, and this, made her remain silent.

"Yes, we'll see each other tomorrow.."

Hearing Hestia's words, Ethan turned towards the door before raising his hand as a sign of 'goodbye'.

Opening the door and exiting the room, Ethan decided to directly go to his own room, and this because, he knew that Ais would be there..

Thinking about the 'emotionless' girl who would stare at him while slowly releasing her feelings on him as if nothing was happening, made him immediately smile.

With this kind of thoughts in mind, Ethan arrived at his own door as he directly opened it, but, what he saw, surprised him. This because, Ais was on his bed as always, but, she wasn't alone in the room.

'I wanted to talk with Ais first, but, I can see that she's really serious about that..'

Thinking this, Ethan entered the room while Ais immediately added

"...Welcome back, Ethan"

Her words, brought him to nod as, even though he didn't go anywhere, her words made him really feel as if he entered his home right now.

"Yes..I'm back.."

Turning to look at Lefiya, Ethan decided to add

"..And I see that, Lefiya, the thing you have to talk about is really serious.."

His words, brought her face to instantly become red as, she immediately added

"Y-Yes..I couldn't w-wait.."

Even though the way she said so was rather ambiguous, Ethan decided not to point that out as he understood what she had to talk about was even more serious than what he previously thought, but, that could be said for him as well.

Seeing that she was already having 'problems' to speak, Ethan decided to take the lead. Looking at Ais, he added

"Can I take her outside to talk with me for a bit..? After that, I have to talk with you as well.."

His words, made Ais tilt her head as she turned to look at Lefiya. Seeing that the latter was glancing at her, she closed her eyes as she added

"It's fine..I will.. wait.."

'I can't stop, just because I feel embarrassed..that isn't enough..to break me down, no more ..'

Giving herself strength in this way, she just followed him while the latter, was thinking about what to say to her. This because, he understood from the new quest he had, that he couldn't delay things anymore.

After a while, the two where outside his own room, but, before deciding to talk, Ethan silently used the [Sound and Space Illusion] as he didn't want anyone else to hear the conversation they were about to have, something that Lefiya didn't seem to have considered at all.

"..I..Can I-I be the first to talk..?"

Her question, made him nod as he finished setting the item before Lefiya continued her speech as she brought her hands next to her c.h.e.s.t..

"..I w-wanted to let you k-know..that, from now on..I want to try..to be more honest with my feelings..it's really complicated, but, Tiona's words made me understand our situation can't continue like this..I wanted to be friends with you, but, my feelings for you, are something that a friend wouldn't feel for someone else..At least, I know that..."

Even though he didn't know what Tiona and Lefiya talked about, he could understand how much effort she was putting in trying to express herself at the best of her possibility, and this, made Ethan smile again as, he couldn't help but immediately bring a hand on her shoulder.

"I wanted to say something similar. When I was asleep, I thought about you, more than one time, I understood that, even though the person I love is Ais, I love you as well..."

Hearing these words, made Lefiya's expression turn from a embarrassed one to a shocked one as, she was preparing her mind for many things he would say, but, this one, wasn't in her list.

But, before she could start thinking about it, she was interrupted by Ethan as he continued his speech without a care in the world..

"Your reactions make me smile, your red face makes me wanting to tease you, your bashful behaviour, makes me want to hug you..but, I was scared, you know? Not only of returning your feelings back, but that someone strong enough, would take you away from me. I wanted to protect you in the best way I could, but, I understood, when you got hit by that monster and were on the floor, that I couldn't always think ahead of everything..."

Thinking about how stupid he was behaving before, brought Ethan to sigh while Lefiya's face was so red that even her ears started to become slightly red. This was because, his words made her feel a set of emotions ranging from anxiety, to happiness, to fear, to sadness, but, although all of these were reigned by complete embarrassment, Lefiya decided that she didn't want to run away this time, unlike the other times. It wasn't something she could solve on her own, nor something she was able to solve now that she had Ethan in front of him..

Seeing that she wasn't replying at all, made him immediately release her shoulder as, even though he wanted to continue to talk, he could see that she wasn't replying to him anymore...

But, before he was able to say something about it, Lefiya brought a hand on his own as she stopped him from saying anything that could stop this conversation...

"..I..f-feel the same..p-probably.."

Surprised by these words, Ethan, decided to not say anything as the smile that dissipated after he removed his hand from her shoulder, returned.
