Chapter 116 - Urgent

With these thoughts in mind, Hestia stared at Lefiya while the latter didn't look at her before she brought her staff closer to her c.h.e.s.t.

This action, made Hestia look away as well as she decided to just let her be.

"..Then, we will be out of the room for a while.."

Saying so, Hestia looked at Lili as the latter immediately raised from the bed while Aki went next to Shakti.

"So, you are Ganesha Familia's Captain. We never had chance to know each other. I'm Anakitty, but everyone calls me Aki since it's easier to do so.."

Seeing that she had her hand extended towards her for a handshake, made Shakti reply with her own hand as she brought it next to hers. Even though she didn't want to start calling Anakitty in such an informal way, she decided to ignore it for the moment as it was better to introduce herself as well...

"I see. As you said, I'm the Captain of the Ganesha Familia. My name is Shakti Varma, but you can just call me Shakti"

While the two were chatting, Lili and Hestia were doing the same as the former immediately asked

"..Then, when will we..?"

Understanding what she wanted to ask, Hestia smiled as she remembered that tomorrow she didn't have to go to work.

After having briefly discussed with Lili about her plan, Hestia waved her hand towards Aki and Shakti as the two were still talking.

"It's better if we exit the room already, what do you two think about it?"

Her question, made Aki nod as she interrupted her conversation with Shakti for a moment.

"Yes, let's go.."

Saying so, she headed next to her while Shakti followed behind as, in no time, the four were already out of the room.

This, brought the room's lively atmosphere that was permeating in the room a few seconds ago, to a very silent one as Ais closed her eyes.

With this happening in front of her, Lefiya tightened the grip on her staff as she was determined to be straight with her feelings from now on, and, even if she would fail, she wouldn't permit her negativity to condition her anymore.

This determination, actually started when Tiona talked with her in the Dungeon, right before Ethan would go next to her. In that small-time, Lefiya explained the reasons behind her negativity, and the feeling she felt of being inferior to him. But, to these words, Tiona just shook her hand while adding

"And why should you care about this? You can see that, even though he has an extraordinary power, he has many flaws, many things to correct, many errors that he will have to not repeat...I have no way to know what is going on in your mind, but, it's just pointless. Stop worrying way too much about things, and start enjoying life already! If you think all the time about these things, you'll never feel happy, or satisfied, and that's awful! Just think about how many times Ethan was knocked out, or, failed to do something. Did he ever give up? No, he didn't. Even though it's just one month or so, he's working so hard, and failing so much, that I feel like he'll become strong really soon...as I believe that every defeat can make you become stronger..."

Tiona's speech, made Lefiya realize that, it was indeed as she said. Ethan was always working hard. It was indeed just around a month ago that he entered the Loki Familia, but, his hard work, made him able to become strong enough to already be considered a core member of their own Familia.

The fact that he never decided to give up, and that he kept moving forward, was making him stronger. His hard work was paying off, and from the beginning, he always wanted her to keep up with him.

This important fact, was what made her understand that, she had to fill in her gaps if she wanted to get stronger. Although Lefiya knew how hard it would be to start training her other parameters as well, she couldn't help but compare her weakness with Ethan's. For sure, the fact that a single attack was able to make him enter [Mind Zero] was a major flaw, which he could only try to fill by increasing his mana. And this, wasn't something that could be easily done, under normal circ.u.mstances, so, she could already see many limits that, even though they were in front of her since the start, she clearly ignored while analysing his strength...

But, this wasn't the last time that Tiona talked to her. After bringing him back to the 18th floor, the latter brought Lefiya were nobody could hear them as she explained that, from what she could 'understand', Ethan is just thinking about it way too much, as well as her. Even though Lefiya thought that Tiona was rather annoying, however, she decided to believe her words which, until now, had done nothing but help her.

"...For me, he just has the same personality as you. And, I think that both your 'thinking-way-too-much' personalities, just doesn't make sense.."

Even though she said so, Tiona knew well that she couldn't say anything more as, otherwise, Lefiya would have understood that something wasn't right in her 'detailed' explanation about how he sees him.

But, her words were still enough to make Lefiya look down while acknowledging that, she had to try to be honest with herself. Even if she would make many mistakes, or if, she wouldn't be able to say whatever is in her mind at all, she would just try again, and again, until she would be able to slowly open herself at him..

After exiting Ethan's rest-room, Hestia, Shakti, Lili, and Aki, decided to just go to Ethan's room as it was closer to the rest-room.

But, before they could enter the room, they saw someone running towards where Loki's room should have been as Aki furrowed his brows.

This, made Hestia immediately ask

"..Is something happening..?"

Her question, brought Aki to turn her head towards her while answering

"No, not exactly. But, when messengers are in such a hurry, there must be something important..."

Thinking about it for a second, Lili decided to step in the conversation

"Then, should you go to check what happened..?"

"...Yes, I will go now.."

These words, brought a small smirk on Lili's face as, even though she didn't hate, nor like Aki, she was still happy that a possible rival wasn't going to be there. Seeing this as well, made Aki's tail twitch as she quickly understood what she was thinking.

Before Lili would have been able to say something, Aki immediately added

"...By the way, I just wanted to see your reply. I'm not going to check on the situation until someone calls for us."

Furrowing her brows, Lili was thinking about her words as she wanted to add something, but Shakti was faster as she pointed towards Loki's room

"Look, it seems that Loki-sama is calling for you.."

Hearing this, Aki turned her head to look at Loki before seeing that it was indeed as she said.

With her eyes widening, she looked at Lili as her smirk returned, but, she decided to just ignore it.

"...I guess I have to go, for real now."

Saying so, she waved her hand in a cheerful way as a 'see you later' for Hestia, and Shakti. This because, Aki already knew that, from the way Lili was acting, that she wouldn't be the type of person she would like to be friends with..

Without caring about her actions, Lili was just happy that a person went away. This because, even if she would repress her instincts for him because they had to 'use' them later with Hestia's plan, she was still interested in becoming Ethan's third love interest, and, the fact one of her rivals would leave, only brought her happiness...

"Y-Yes, Loki-sama. The person said the last name of this adventurer is Hyogumi. I never heard of that last name before, so I guess it's someone from the supporters, or the rookies?"

Asking this question more to himself rather than Loki, the messenger expected her to have some kind of reaction, but, she just added

"Make her specify what his role in the familia is, as well as names, last names, and level"

At her words, the messenger replied with a nod before Loki saw that Aki and Hestia were in front of her. Thinking that Aki would smooth things, she decided to call for her as she immediately went towards her.

After a few seconds, she was next to her as she was about to ask what she had to do, but Loki was faster

"...Sorry to interrupt your talking, but, you have to accompany the messenger back to the entrance of the Twilight Manor. This because, someone wants access to the latter to visit a person, but, the surname she gave was never heard among first-class adventurers."

Understanding what she had to do, Aki nodded while bowing

"..Yes, Loki-sama"

Saying so, she looked at the messenger before heading towards the exit of the Twilight Manor with the latter..

Minutes after Aki was sent with the messenger at the exit of the Manor, the two arrived in front of the gate as they could see the woman that requested for the person. Seeing a person she knew well, brought Aki to chuckle before adding

"I didn't expect you to come here, Ryuu...what is happening?"

Making the guard remove the weapon that blocked the entrance, Aki stared at her while she just added

"...I have to check on him... for the same friend. So, I decided to come here... today"

Her statement, made Aki turn towards the guard as the latter didn't even waited for orders as he removed his spear.

Nodding in satisfaction, she made her enter the manor while she just passed the guard, as if he never existed in the fist place while the latter couldn't help but release a heavy sigh...
