Chapter 63 - Truths

Seeing Bete exiting from the door without a care in the world, Hestia ignored him while she focused on the two children's words. Looking down again, she replied

"I.. I know, Ethan has a big heart, the proof is that he got to the point of trying to help me even though I'm not his goddess.."

Returning her eyes on Hestia, Loki was shocked

"Chibi, did you really took the help of a mortal?"

Gritting her teeth, Hestia was even more angry.

"I bet you're trying to use him in the best way for your familia, since it is the only thing that interests you!"

With her face darkening, Loki approached Hestia before taking her by the cheeks

"Is there something wrong with my line of thought? He's gaining too, after he wakes up he'll formally be one of the core members, the first core member of my familia at Level 2. Do you think I'm just using him? I took various vows to have him in the familia. At first I wanted his space magic that will be useful for the expeditions..."

Staring at her, Hestia waited for her to finish her speech before adding something. Inhaling, Loki continued

"I was curious about his abilities all the time but my role was to update his status and see the results, I wanted to follow his progress step by step but I'm not allowed to do that because I thought he would have been a rather normal adventurer with only a useful magic, I underestimated him... Do you know what it feels like? You come here, accusing me of doing something I'm not doing, you didn't understand that from the moment he entered my familia, I'm also thinking about his well-being"

"He's resting in a room the Ganesha Familia gave us, I don't know what you want to do, but that's the truth"

Nodding slowly, she saw as Loki exited the room without adding anything more. Regaining awareness, Hestia stared at the door while Finn tried to change the mood of the conversation, saying

"Hestia-sama, if you want I will accompany you to the room he's in"

With another nod, She didn't utter a word while Riveria said

"I will also go with you, I want to see if Ethan is awake"

Wanting to enter the conversation, Tiona smiled

"I'll come with you! If Ethan is awake I'll need to tell him how cool he was during the fight.. I can't wait!"

Sighing, Tione immediately went near Finn while closing her eyes

"I-I guess I'll come to pay a visit too..."

"Let's go all together, I understand that you are worried about him, but don't bother him if he wants to rest, I've been clear?"

Looking at Tiona while saying this, she looked away without saying anything.

'I guess I'll pay a visit like everyone else in this room...'

With this, the group exited the Twilight Manor while Hestia internally prayed that everything was really ok...

At the Hostess of Fertility, the information about the event immediately spread, something that Syr was in part grateful. Hearing that Ethan won, she let out a sigh of relief before another adventurer said

With a nod, another one said

Laughing, another group of adventurers raised their cups proudly

Now in the Colosseum, the group encountered Ganesha. Seeing him, Hestia immediately asked

"Ganesha! Where is Ethan resting? Can you show us, please.."

Surprised, He saw how worried she was. Looking at the various members of the Loki Familia, Ganesha stopped to stare at Finn

"Ganesha-sama, Hestia-sama and Ethan know each other, so she wanted to pay him a visit like the rest of us"

Although it wasn't that necessary to specify as he understood this from the start, he replied with a smile

"Thank you, child, as you know I am GANEEESHA and I will accompany all of you to his room. The only thing I ask is, don't make too much noise because there are other people resting next to his room.."

Understanding, the members of the Loki Familia made a small bow, a sign of understanding while Hestia just nod her head.

"Follow me..."

Following him, they arrived at Ethan's temporary room. Knocking, they heard a voice saying

"I-It's open..you can enter"

Knowing well Lefiya's voice, Riveria sighed while they entered the room

"Take your time..."

Was all that Ganesha said before heading towards the room to talk about business with Shakti

'I gained a lot more than usual thanks to Ethan, a room was the least I could do to repay him..'

Thinking this, he entered the room. Seeing Shakti already in while filling the doc.u.ment with their total income, he was bothered by something

"Shakti, I have to ask you something"

Hearing Ganesha asking something seriously, she immediately put the pen she held on the table to listen to what he had to say. Seeing this, he added

"Do you feel remorse for having accepted his plan, but he was still injured in the end...?"

Surprised, she immediately looked away while saying

"W-What are you asking me... why should I? It was his decision, I'm not in his familia so it wasn't my job to--"

Laughing, he approached her while putting a hand on her shoulder

"So you finally like a man? That's a good news!! I'm going to ask if he wants to add you as a concubine---"

Before he could finish, Shakti threw a punch in his c.h.e.s.t, sending him towards the wall. Hitting it rather heavily, he coughed a few times while the smile on his face didn't face in the slightest

'There is hope..for the future!'

Seeing his smug face, She replied

"If you dare to tell him something like that I'll leave the Familia"

Gulping, he shook his head while he replied in an apologetic tone

"I'm sorry, I didn't intend to do it from the start, I was just teasing you a bit! But it's true that you need to find a man.. You are getting olde--"

Glaring at him, she added

"If you continue I'll punch you again."

Asking for forgiveness, their conversation on that topic ended in a few minutes with the two regaining their composure

Standing up, Ganesha complained in his mind about the damage Shakti had inflicted on him while asking

"Do we already know the total income?"

Shaking her head, she finished writing the latest information reported by the various staff, this because, when the clientele reached a certain limit, there were alternations in the shifts to allow all the staff to work equally.

The only problem lay in the fact that everyone have their own handwriting, therefore, for convenience, it was preferred to do different accounting according to the member in question who carried out the counts. The work of Shakti was that of bring them all together to know the final income and, Moreover, know how much people came in the various periods of time, even when the event was already started.

Finally, managing to finish her job, she looked at the total income while Ganesha did the same. He was honestly surprised by the number, mainly because this event was organized in a few days and, it wasn't so expensive as when he had to set up everything for the Monster Feria.

'2 billion valis.. I think I can bring the star of the event a gift..'

Thinking this, he stared at the number.

'but I don't know what he might need ..it will be difficult, but I am GANEEESHA. I can't be discouraged for so little'

Now in the room, Hestia saw Ethan asleep. Feeling the urge to stick to him, she decided to repress her emotions for the moment as even Finn was still in the room.

"I guess I'll wait for him to wake up..."

Saying this, everyone looked at her while Hestia had a confused face. Deciding it was better to ask, Finn said

"Hestia-sama, don't you have a member in your familia? if you don't come back he might worry"

Understanding he was right, she thought about Lili for a moment but, realizing what he said, Hestia immediately turned her head towards him

"You pallum! How do you know that Ethan won't wake up for today!?"

Hearing her, he sighed internally while replying

"Riveria said it's very likely that he needs some time to rest.."

Shocked, she looked at Riveria, the latter made a nod while adding

"It was just a possibility but I preferred to tell everyone rather than make you worry unnecessarily"

Finally, having the situation explained, she was mad at her

"Why didn't you tell me from the start..?"

Looking down, Riveria added

"Because I didn't want to make you worry for Ethan more then this. Hestia-sama, I know that you are very worried about him but, we can't do anything to wake him up forcefully as it would be even worse. It's better let nature take its course...I know for sure that he will wake up in a few days at most, so let's patiently wait for him"

Saying this, she glared at Ethan

'I will make you pay for all the times I am helping you..when you'll have fully recovered, I will put you through the pains of hell to train...'

Thinking this, she closed her eyes while he continued to sleep peacefully...
