147 Fall of the goddess part 2

I took a breathe in wonder, only to find I could not breathe. I could not breathe, nor could I feel. I lifted my hand in front of my face and saw bones in the shape of a hand. Where the joints should have been was a strange black energy.

The sight did not fill me with shock as you would expect, nor did it really fill me with anything. I calmly sat down as I tried to go over everything I knew. My mind reached a blank, I did not know anything, I did not even know my name.

I was a nameless skeleton. I looked at the floor around me. I felt as if there should have been something there. Something important. For the life? Death? of me I could not figure it out.

I did however manage to find something. There was a black cloak, and on top of it was a note. I lifted the note to my face, as I carefully read the contents.

It was signed Hylia.

It felt like that name was important, something I should have known. But I could not remember. I could not remember anything.

I threw the cloak over my shoulder, and opened my status. The move was instinctive, not something that I even had to think about.

2. Your stats points add double the amount

3. Recieve one free talent from the system store.

[Death Magic]

You control the power of death. Your necromancer skills level up 3x faster than your peers.

[Summon Skeleton] lvl 1/10

You can summon skeletons to fight for you. Stats of the summoned Skeletons are equal to half of your own. One level = 1 summon. 100 mana.

I nodded as I looked over my skills. They seemed to be alright. I would only be able to summon a single skeleton for now, and it would be half as strong as myself, but that would change with time. For now, I was interested in recieving the free talent from the store.

The titles of the talents reflected what the talent did, but did not go into detail. I was forced to guess as I looked down the long list of abilities.

Most of these abilities were related in one way or another to an attribute or weapon. I saw a variety of talents, the most expensive being called [Time Lord]. I could only assume it was related to time Magic, but was useless to me as I had no profiency.

I scrolled further down the list I began to feel a sense of despair. Most of these abilities sounded amazing, and I could only assume they were powerful. Unfortunately, none of them suited me. It seemed that Death magic was not a popular branch. In fact it almost looked like someone had tried to remove it from existence.

Finally, on the third page I found a talent that seemed like it would work. It was called [Powerful Mind]. I selected the talent without looking further. It was the most expensive talent that seemed useful to me, and in my mind expensive meant powerful. The price would have been over 100 million coins if I had to pay for it, which was quite a bit under the most expensive at 5 billion.

That ability had been called [Phoenix Destiny]. I assumed it had something to do with the fire element, so I had Unfortunately had to pass it up.

After I had purchased the skill I was quick to inspect it.

[Powerful Mind]

The mind is the most powerful tool. Every 3 points in intelligence above 10 increases all other stats by 1. Excludes charisma and luck.

I nodded. The ability would be helpful. I could concentrate solely on increasing my intelligence, which would in turn strengthen my other stats. As I strengthened my other stats my skeletons would grow stronger.

With my examination of my character sheet complete I proceeded to activate my only ability, [Summon Skeleton]. I could feel the mana in my body empty out, and a sense of tiredness fill me as my mana pool hit zero. But my mind soon regained its clarity as I looked at the simple creature before me.

It was a skeleton much like myself. It was complelty bare, save for a sword in its hand. A smile crossed my face as I looked at it. With this I should be able to proceed. I should be able to find.. I dont know. But I knew there was someone out there that I needed to find. Someone that was important to me. Somewhat that was far more important to me than even myself.

I could feel them. I could feel that they existed somewhere out there in this vast world. And I knew I had to find them. Maybe if I did, I would remember all of the things I had forgotten.
