Chapter 435: A Mov and two Mana Crystals

Zamia's curiosity burned as she wondered what the spell might be. Unfortunately, she realized that Eldrian didn't have the answer, and asking him to cast it was not a smart thing to do.

"How did you cast the spell?" She asked instead, hoping to gain some information on what Creation might be.

"Oh, it is actually quite simple." To demonstrate, Eldrian cast all the Tier 0 spells. Letting them spin around him while he explained.

"Have you ever tried to merge spells?"

"Of course, but more often than not it just results in them becoming unstable and exploding in my face. Though, I have learned that some spells can be merged to amplify each other."

Eldrian smiled, happy that he was talking with someone who actually had the experience to back up their high Tier. Someone who wasn't just left trying to catch up to his thought process. Someone who understood all he said, even if she sometimes became confused.

Zamia might become lost now and then, but that wasn't because she didn't understand. Rather, it was because her experiences were just vastly different from his.

Eldrian also knew that unlike him, she wasn't frantically trying to improve. When he had last met her she was just living her life, taking care of her family. Even now, she wasn't constantly training and experimenting. She was teaching and watching over everyone in the glade.

"When you merged them, did they become one?" Eldrian asked, Zamia shaking her head no.

"No, if that is possible then I would rather form a hybrid spell and cast it as one from the start."

"Then... Is there a spell containing all the base elements?"

Hearing this, Zamia's eyes flew wide open as she looked at the floating balls of elements around Eldrian. Not missing the ball of nature inside of him.

"I see, you merged them."

"No, I combined them. They didn't stay as 7 different spells, rather, when I combined them they became 1. Became Creation."

'This is new...' Zamia didn't know what to say. It was the first time she heard of someone managing to do something like this.

Her form of merging spells was like using a wind spell to carry flame, ice, or rocks. Or using ice, air, and flame to create an amplified explosion. Things like that. Not form a whole new spell that required to be merged to be cast.

"Let me guess, you have no idea how to simply cast the spell."

"Correct," Eldrian said, letting the spells disappear as he refilled his cup. "So, I am assuming that you didn't know it was possible."

"No, it is. But like I said before, normally when I discover that spells can truly combine, I would just cast them as a hybrid spell next time. In some cases I would prefer not to, such as when the amplified effect created is greater than the hybrid's. But..."

She took a moment and a sip of tea, "Yes, your method is something new to me. Do you think you would be able to cast it without merging spells? To cast it formed?"

Eldrian thought for a moment and then shook his head no. "No, I doubt it. What happens isn't just a mixture of mana, but also of elements. Changing into something unique..." Eldrian went on to explain the appearance of the crystal he had created.

"Amazing, and you said you would need how much mana?"

"According to my estimations, at least a hundred thousand." Eldrian replied, uncertain if NPCs thought of MP the same as them. However, given the existence of Observe and other observation abilities, he felt it likely.

"That much?" Zamia asked and Eldrian nodded in confirmation. After a moment of thought, Zamia summoned a Mov Crystal the size of her hand and handed it to Eldrian. Confused, he looked at her in questioning.

Instead of answering, she then handed him a Mana Crystal of the same size, and then one the size of a finger.

"Try feeling the mana in them." She said, Eldrian and ignoring the system request about if he wanted to absorb the Mov Crystal to increase his inventory.

Closing his eyes, he placed down the mana crystals and focused on the Mov Crystal. Trying to send his mind into it, yet, he felt himself constantly being pushed back. After 5 minutes, he stopped. His forehead and back covered in sweat.

"I can't."

"Well, you did start with the hardest one. Try the mana crystals."

Nodding, Eldrian took the smaller one. Holding it in his hand he repeated the process, after 2 minutes he managed to break through. Only for his mind to be overwhelmed and sent directly back to his body.

Gasping for air, he stared at the finger-sized soft white crystal in his hand in a mix of shock, fear, and greed. Instead of repeating the process, he used mana sense to confirm what he had felt.

[Mana Crystal (Finger sized)]

[A crystal filled with crystalized mana, it holds an amazing amount of mana. For the most part, mana crystals are non-volatile. Certain spells can turn them into devastating tools of destruction, and other spells can turn them into wonderful tools of securing life.]

[Mana Storage: 13.8k]

Zamia smiled seeing Eldrian's change in attitude, her smile growing much more cheerful when he placed the crystal down and only looked at the larger crystal quickly.

[Mana Crystal (Hand sized)]

[...]

[Mana Storage: 108k]

Gulping, Eldrian turned to the Mov Crystal, left without words when he saw the mana storage.

[Mov Crystal (Hand sized)]

[Mov Crystals are found in the largest of Amethyst veins. A crystal filled with so much mana, compacted so tightly, that it can alter the very fabric of reality. Making it possible to play with space, to create teleportation arrays and dimensional storages.]

[The crystals are extremely rare, almost never would you be able to buy them if you want. It is often the cornerstone of kingdoms and the cause of many wars. Some speculate it is even the cause of the invasions, but these are just baseless rumors.]

[Mana Storage: 1.3M]

It took Eldrian two cups of tea and 20 minutes to return to reality. Looking at Zamia in shock, and realizing the true worth of these crystals, he nearly fell from his chair after realizing that he had been carrying such valuable items for so long for a mission. Luckily, he had given them back to Pelaros.

"Why-why did you show me these?" Eldrian asked, part of him wishing to grab the hand-sized crystal and attempt casting Creation again. He stopped only because he knew he couldn't even access the mana. Heck, even the finger-sized mana crystal was too much for him.

"To give you some perspective. While a hundred thousand is an extreme amount of mana. It is not much when you make use of the resources that Gaia is blessed with." Zamia said, naturally she didn't want to spoil Eldrian's hopes by mentioning how long it would take for him to reach such an amount without external help.

Luckily, there was no need for him to reach the required amount himself. There was nothing wrong with using external help. And from the way the spell is cast, how Eldrian explained it, and the name. Zamia felt confident that it wasn't a spell meant for battle.

It would create something, what, she did not know. But it was certainly going to be something amazing.
