Ughh…

Norman started retching blood from his guts because Arthur stabbed his belly. "Back to my castle. Ask Dennis, the head butler to take him to dungeons and prepare to cure him."

"He has a lot to tell"

"Arthur?"

"You…?" Even in so much pain, he was able to talk.

"So, are you still fine?"

"Well, it saves me the effort. It's me, Arthur Evans"

"Hello, I guess we done introducing myself"

"Lord." Norman was petrified to see Arthur in flesh. No one actually knows what the lord of Reinstle look likes in person. Only some higher-ups and close friends can recognize him. As for the common folks, he is just a mysterious wizard king, who is rumored to be drop-dead-handsome. They only know that their king treats them well and good.

They don't expect anything more, honestly.

Why?

Because Reinstle had everything one could ask for a fulfilling life.

"Uhh…. Yes Jeff. I would like if you can send your dear parson personally"

Jeff was terrified but he was granted a wish, that was more like a command, so he didn't have any complaints to make. "Yes Lord"

"Vladis, you know what to do right?"

"You mean Camy?" He was doubtful but Arthur told him what he dreaded.

"No, it's Ciel"

"What do you mean?" But before he could get his answers, Arthur disappeared.

"Damn it"

"Why am I the one to clean up his messes?" Valdis got pissed off.

"Hurry up, before he changes his mind" He warned Norman and left the church

Ding-Dong

The door was opened by Dennis. He was quite shocked to see Arthur standing outside. He rarely used to enter like this in his own house.

"Surprised?"

Uhh…

He was caught off-guard by his sudden question.

"No, lord" He quickly stepped aside so Arthur could enter the Castle.

"What a lovely night it is. Isn't it Dennis?"

"Lord, if you are in a joyous mood then definitely it is an incredible night"

"How glib. I like that"

"I am honored lord"

"Mind joining me for a chit-Chat, Dennis?"

Dennis was once again left all jittered. The lord had always been a quiet one, though he did change after Rune's sister came but he was only chatty to either her or Knight Vladis. It was his first time being so friendly with him and to be honest, it scared the hell out of him. Still, he resisted his fears and accepted the offer.

"Your wish is my command, Lord"

"I knew it"

"In my room, with my tea in next 5 minutes"

"Oh, yes. I forgot to mention. Ask that niece of yours, what was her name?"

Um…

He scratched his head to imitate dementia.

"Laura?"

Snap!

"Yes, that girl Laura. Ask her to bake some cookies for me and tell her that I need her to serve me tonight" He left for his room after that.

Now that was definitely not his style. Instincts told him that something was off, but what could be?"

Only fate could tell.

Knock

"Enter"

It was Dennis. "Lord, I brought your tea"

As he said, he started serving him.

"Thank you" He sipped the tea and as usual, it was perfect.

"Aaah. Just the way I remember it. You know Dennis, I had always been fond of your two things"

"And what that might be, Lord?"

Chuckle-

"First is definitely your cooking skills"

"And the second one is your loyalty to the Evans family. I am actually so fine with the fact that as time changed, so many things changed yet, your loyalty remained firm"

"I am an honored lord. It is our honorable duty to serve members of the Evans family"

"Aaa. it's good to hear it out"

"But…" The spoon that he was using to stir the tea stopped abruptly. Staring straight at him, he confronted him.

"Why did you bring Laura to my castle? Don't tell me you didn't know she was a witch"

Arthur broke the ice.

Evidently, Dennis was horrified. He turned ghastly pale and felt so exposed, not even nakedness could be par to it.

"So?"

"Tell me, why did you do such and dis-honorable thing?"

"Why did you bring shame to your family? You do know right what legacy your family had? Yet?"

"Why?"

"One word and your entire family will be murdered in an instant so it's better if you run your mouth. I am hoping to spare you mercy on account of your family, but I am not patient man Dennis, and you know it too"

Direct threat.

It was the real Arthur. The one that likes to cut the chase and do things that are important instead of dawdling around.

Thud!

Dennis came onto his knees. "I beg for your forgiveness Lord" he rubbed his hand continuously in search of forgiveness.

"It's not what I want to hear Dennis"

"Lord…. I…Laura, she is the daughter of my adoptive sister"

"Mhmmm and what else?"

"I have always loved her. The way I shouldn't be, and I knew it, I was wrong to feel that way. She was my sister. Only after my father was on the verge of death, did he tell us the truth that Jenna wasn't my blood sister. All other siblings I had, they weren't close to me, only Jenna was. She didn't have a feeling for me but after the truth was known, she accepted my love."

"We both were so happy. We had our little secret that wasn't morally or ethically wrong. I could never ask for anything more, but then, one bad day, our life took a turn. I became a head butler at your castle while Jenna was forced to marry some other man. I was heartbroken but there was nothing I could do"

"Even if we weren't blooded relatives, we still were siblings since childhood, and everyone saw us in the same light. If words would have gotten out, we both would have suffered terribly and I didn't want her to suffer, so although I was heartbroken, I accepted it"

"But her husband was a scum. She still suffered and died after giving birth to a girl. Her scum father wanted an heir, so he sold the little girl to a slave establishment. It was too late for me to do anything. I felt sad, despaired but I was useless."
