Chapter 313: You can cook

Despite knowing what she did was impulsive, Ye Meixiu knows that it was needed. It'll help Lu Chen understand her feelings for her. 

Lu Chen always considered her to be a little sister. Ye Meixiu knows that needs to be changed. If she doesn't do it, Lu Chen will always look at her as a little sister, never giving her a chance to shine. 

"Meixiu, I-" Lu Chen wanted to say something about this. But Ye Meixiu places her finger onto his lips, 

"Brother Chen, you don't need to say anything. I understand your feelings. But feelings can be changed! I'll show you that I'm the only one for you!"

It doesn't matter if Kang Shuchun and Feng Meifeng are in the lead now. She'll be the one at the end. 

"..." Lu Chen could see the fire lit in Ye Meixiu's eyes. It was something he had never seen before. 

"Prepare yourself, brother Chen!" Lu Chen could see Ye Meixiu's ears were red. He understands that Ye Meixiu is probably embarrassed by what she said. 

"Later, brother Chen!" And she was. After saying this, Ye Meixiu quickly scampers away, not wanting him to see her embarrassed face. 

Lu Chen was left there, standing there stunned. His brain malfunctions as he can't believe that Ye Meixiu would be so pushy now. 

Never did he expect her to be so upfront as well. 

However, Lu Chen shakes his head, 'Oh shit! They're going to get pissed.' Lu Chen realizes he should be going back to his classmate. As he runs to the beach, he couldn't help but have a wry smile, remembering how Ye Meixiu acted. 

When he got back to the beach, Lu Chen was right. His classmates were glaring at him, wondering why he was late. 

After getting lectured, Lu Chen and his classmates continue to have fun at the beach.

"Alright, you guys have fun with your barbeque. Just be careful and enjoy." After Xiao Lao Shi says this, he doesn't look at his class anymore.  

All the classes are outside. They're having a large barbeque party. 

But they are doing it in luxury. 

There are a lot of chefs there, waiting to cook for them. They even have different types of high-quality meats as well. 

However, Lu Chen waves his hand when he sees the chef ready to cook for him, "You don't have to cook for me. Just give me the ingredients."

"You can cook?" Zhang Jian looks at him with one of his eyebrows raised. He never heard about his best friend knowing how to cook. 

Feng Meifeng looks at Lu Chen curiously as well. 

"I'm a pretty good cook." Lu Chen acts smug as he takes a piece of steak and starts seasoning it. After seasoning the meat, he starts cutting up some vegetables. Zhang Jian and Feng Meifeng look at him all surprised. 

Lu Chen cuts the vegetables so quickly and so evenly too. It was as if the knife was disappearing every time he moved it. 

After cutting the vegetables, Lu Chen starts grilling the steak and vegetables together. The sweet and savory aroma flows, Zhang Jian and Feng Meifeng couldn't help but smile. 

But they aren't alone in this. The other students were sniffing around, trying to figure out where the smell was coming from. 

It wasn't the same as the chef's aroma. It was unique compared to all the others. 

They turn around to see Lu Chen cooking. After cooking the steak, Lu Chen starts cutting it up against the grain. Then he takes the vegetables, adding them off as the finishing touch. 

The dish looks like a restaurant-quality dish! Lu Chen smiles as he places it on the table. He knows he did good. 

Zhang Jian and Feng Meifeng couldn't help but gulp. 

How could he make something so good?!

"Why are you guys still looking at the dis? Go ahead and enjoy it." Hearing him say that, Zhang Jian took the first bite. 

Instantly, he felt a flavor explosion happening in his mouth! He couldn't believe how good it was.

'It's so soft and tender!' Zhang Jian couldn't help but eat more. Seeing how Zhang Jian acted, Feng Meifeng took a bite too. 

Instantly, she understood why Zhang Jian was acting like that. She looks at Lu Chen,

'Isn't he too overpowered?!' Very handsome, gentle, smart. Now cooking as well. Lu Chen's ability was too overpowered. 

But Feng Meifeng didn't think about it too much.

She starts eating quickly too, not losing out to Zhang Jian.
