46.1 Mama, You’re Mistaken

Good day everyone, this is the hero Alexander-cum-Jilbagias who was forced to sit in the accursed small bone chair again and interrogated by my mother.

It’s been a really long time since I sat in this 『Self Reflection Chair』, it’s killing my ass.

「Well then… Care to explain what’s happening here, Jilbagias?」

Platy asked with this strict look on her face as she opened her folding fan.

――Explain what? I should be the one who asks that! I mean, it’s the deed of the other 『Me』 when I sealed my ego!

Nevertheless, Platy was also coming at a bad time or rather, her gait was light.

Liliana whose ego hadn’t returned covered her head with her arms, trembling nonstop…

『What, are, you――DOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING――!』

Man that was one hell of a scream. Platy was really emotional I guess. Which reminds me that this might be the first time she yelled at me…

By the way, though Liliana was barking bravely at Liliana upon seeing me forced to the self-reflection chair, she quickly hid behind the bed, whining like a scared dog when Platy glared angrily at her.

… Cur!

At this point, she only peeked from time to time, showing half of her face from the bed…

「… Well, various things happened.」

I looked faraway but resigned and told the truth.

「Let me to make it clear first, I’m not doing this for my sexual desire.」

The matter of the saint caught my interest in the first place. The first was a fact but―― I had to explain it with my body gesture. About the content of my agreement, how I could use Liliana who got brainwashed by me to act like a dog to exert my influence among the night elves by using Shidar.

「Uhm…」

Platy didn’t interrupt my explanation, she heard it really carefully with her folding fan unfolded.

「… You did a really great job in using healing treatment as the cornerstone of your negotiation.」

Now that she understand that I’m not a mere lustful brat, I got the permission to stand up from this fu*cking chair.

「On your side, you’re going to ask some sort of compensation in exchange for your treatment?」

Uhm… It seems 『Jilbagias』 didn’t think that far when he gave his promise but…

「I have yet to think about what exactly I wanted but, the one thing I need the most right now is information.」

「About what?」

「The night elfs have the most information about the situation in the alliance and front line. Moreover, I’m also interested in the actual opinion on the site. And then, silly rumors about other clans that are working in the demon king castle.」

For me, the former held an extremely important value. It would give me the picture of the information network of the night elf in the alliance’s territory. And once I gained more freedom in the future, I would send this information to the alliance, thus helping them to crush the night elf’s information network.

The latter was the preparation for my rebellion toward the demon race. Though I couldn’t make it public―― I could pull some strings to fan some conflict, sowing the seeds of discord to slowly destroy the demon kingdom.

By the way, some night elves who served under a demon race were extremely tight-lipped due to their geass. Meaning that I couldn’t get the information about Rubyfia and Aiogias by using Shidar.

And vice versa, the people around me couldn’t leak the inside information about me either. The current status of the night elf gained precisely because they’re so skilled and trustworthy in this regard.

「… Exchanging information for treatment is a bit too cheap. Well, I can’t deny the importance of information but, you should add a fixed term of labor to those who received your treatment too. In that way, you can use them as your pawn.」

「I see… 」And not for something like a maid, right?

Reason being the majority of people who receive my treatment were warriors. And we had enough employees in our place.

「Naturally.」

Platy’s folding fan closed again with a crisp snap sound.

""

「I think, it’s about the time to send you out for live combat training.」

And suddenly saying something outrageous.

I just barely managed to maintain the nonchalant look on my face.

「… First campaign, eh.」

「That’s an exaggeration. It’s not an official first campaign, just a chance to let you to get the experience of live combat―― More like practical training.」

According to Platy.

The demon kingdom intentionally slowed down their march to prevent the alliance from crumbling down too quickly, thus decreasing the chance for the general soldier of the demon kingdom’s army―― Which is composed of goblin, ogre,  or beastfolk with weak magical power―― To gain achievement.

The beastfolks welcomed that policy since it reduced their chance of being squashed in the middle of war but, the main problem was the goblin and ogres. They have been joining the demon kingdom’s army since the dawn of the demon kingdom but now the demon kingdom needs a reason to dismiss them.

「You should just use us rather than sending out the goblin.」 Claimed the warrior from the demon race who wanted to raise their war achievement.

I happen to hear them shouting 『We don’t need the likes of goblin and ogre』 in the demon king’s office.

As a result, having lost their primary role―― The goblin and ogre became nothing more than a nuisance. The ogre was a ravenous eater, the goblin was filthy and stunk, not to mention that they’re stupid on top of that.

Demon race’s warrior, night elf’s hunting corps, beastfolk corps beneath commander rank, undead, dragon―― The demon kingdom army’s war potential had already filled with those formidable line ups.

「So the goblins are useless, right?」.

Maan, that was cruel… Not that I care about the goblin. As for the ogre, well they’re rather pitiful indeed.

Amidst those deteriorating treatment from the demon kingdom, the deserter from goblin and ogre started to appear nowadays. Even though they’re allowed to plunder the frontline and enjoy the woman-mainly human woman-of the other race as much as they want until just recently, they’re dissatisfied since that kind of chance wasn’t that much nowadays.

「It isn’t big deal if they just escaped into the wild though.」

The problem was the fact that they used a ruined castle or fortress as their stronghold and their numbers kept rising, resulting in them harming the people living around that area— Which was mainly caused by those goblins.

And despite calling them people living around that area, they mostly consisted of the beastfolk, (fairly) weak demon race, night elf who wouldn’t lose to mere goblins, the problem was the number of the deserters.
