Chapter 171 - A Senior Capitalist

Delwyn tidied up his black Armani suit, and then walked elegantly back to his majestic office. On the way, he thought back to his cousin Edrei's ridiculous remark.

"My cousin's stupidity doesn't go away. How could she thinks I like Kaili. Has she forgotten my taste in choosing 'girl friends'? Ridiculous!!"

Meanwhile, Kaili continued to read one by one title in her quest, none other than Dexter, but starting with the Chiro Family.

When she typed the keyword Chiro, there were many headlines with different headings.

{James Chiro, the number one person in country J from city A.}

When reading this, Kaili immediately realized how stupid she was! She loved a man surnamed Chiro, but she didn't realize the origin of the last name! However, did James Chiro have anything to do with Dexter? She read one by one the contents of the news headlines as if she did not want to miss a single word of the news. She was afraid of losing the truth if she did not read and understand the contents of the news.

Until after reading almost all the contents of Chiro's tagline, all she got was about how great the family was. This didn't help at all! Although there was several news talked about their children, none of them managed to show their full names, not even a photo of their children.

Kaili frowned slightly. Apparently, there were some great people were so secretive about their families in this world. This made Kaili doubt her conjecture.

However ...

Kaili was slightly attracted by the greatness of the Chiro family.

She herself was born with a life that was instantly luxurious, eating with a golden spoon, having many servants who were ready to help with her daily needs, not worrying about clothes and food tomorrow.

She thought she was the luckiest person in the world. Having a warm family atmosphere, having a home to return to, and buying anything without batting an eye. Behind that, it turned out that there were still types like Chiro's family! Great, prosperous, powerful, and classy!

The world of the truly rich was a luxury and a horror we could not imagine. Although the articles she read did not leave a negative impression in a sense, clean of gossip and scandals, but somehow Kaili felt so goosebumps! This James Chiro, wasn't he disrespecting his family?

Kaili suddenly laughed at her thought that was too short. Her family compared to Chiro's family? Of course, it was nothing. But it was certain that the level of arrogance that she and her family had, was much higher!

Suddenly, Kaili remembered her arrogance, how embarrassing!

Thinking that she would not get any information from the keyword 'Chiro', Kaili could only search about GBK! This was her last resort to find out about Dexter. However, from all that was seen there, again only about the company's success year after year, which has made it the most influential real estate in the business empire.

Kaili had long heard about GBK, a company that was founded not too long ago but was immediately solid and invincible. However, she didn't know more than that about GBK, not even she had investigated it or the slightest interest in knowing the company. Now, after reading some news about it, Kaili was a little taken aback! Was her poor husband even that great? Even in several news headlines, the very low-profile president of GBK held the status of a senior capitalist, at the age of 32.

Kaili suddenly broke out in a cold sweat thinking about it. Even though she clearly saw Dexter's name on the paper document, but for some reason, she still had a hard time believing it. No, it wasn't that she didn't believe Dexter could shine that brightly, but rather... was it true, that she could marry such a great man? Even in dreams, she didn't believe it!

After wasting a long time on things that were so foreign to her, Kaili chose to quit. She massaged her temples which were covered in a fine sweat. She took a deep breath and exhale it roughly. She really wanted to find out about Dexter, but… if the man didn't want to tell her, would she still insist on finding out about this?

Just as she was enjoying her messy thoughts, the ringing of the phone brought her soul back to reality. It was a phone call from Cara.

Seeing that it was her best friend who called her, Kaili's heart felt a little warm. This friend of hers, although a little annoying and silly, but she was a person who also cared a lot about Kaili. Her presence was always right when she needed peace. Her phone calls always come, unsolicited.

Kaili answered the call. Just as she was about to say the opening words, the person on the other side was already speaking with great enthusiasm.

{My goddess, guess what good news I have?}

Her voice was full of upbeat intonation that made a strong noise.

Kaili frowned. This woman couldn't be a little more elegant? Screaming as if in the desert. Kaili just shook her head in resignation.

"Do you think I am a beautiful woman deaf?" Kaili didn't respond to Cara's enthusiastic story, instead of throwing sarcasm.

Cara who was on the other side immediately pout in distaste.

{So annoying!}

Not waiting for the seconds to pass, Cara added, {But no matter how annoying you are, I'm bringing you a joy story!}

Kaili smiled. She was always curt at Cara, but her friend would be even more unwilling to stop blabbering if she acted curtly.

"Tell me! Did you come home with a son-in-law for your parents? If not, it is still not astonishing!"

Why should she remind her of the lover? Her friend really liked to bully her.

With her pouting trademark, Cara replied, {Not everyone is as lucky as you are to be able to marry their idol!}

Cara was a modern-minded girl. For her, love was not the main thing, nor was it on the last list. If you meet your crush, that would be great. Even if you didn't find it, it was not something that made it confusing. The important thing was to be able to live well, to be able to enjoy life in peace was enough.

However, such a principle did not take root in her heart just like that. She had experienced unpleasant things because of love. However, she was once a teenager who was curious about love. In her teenage years at school, she even confessed her love to the most popular guy in school but was rejected because he thought Cara was not a girl to fight with, not long after that the guy was dating a girl who was also famous like him. After that, she had also experienced several heartbreaks in relationships, until it was no longer interesting to her.

Meanwhile, Kaili felt a little slapped with the words Cara just said.

Lucky? Was it, yes? She had been in love with him for five years, besides that, she still had to act like she didn't love him until somehow, they were now husband and wife. However, was she really that lucky?

Kaili lowered her gaze. She looked at the laptop wallpaper which was precisely their wedding photo. Her thick eyelashes trembled slightly as if she was enduring a storm.

After gulping down her saliva and catching her breath, Kaili said dryly, "Cara, is it normal for a couple who love each other to have secrets?"

Cara was an open-minded woman. She steadfastly replied, {Hmm… It is based on what kind of secret it is. In my opinion, even if it is husband and wife, each human being needs a separate space. Not wanting to be a traitor, but basically, every human being must have things that they don't want to share with others, including his/her partner.}

The woman on the other side was silent. She paused her words. She wanted to wait for a response from the woman she called. Meanwhile, Kaili, the woman who received the call, was silent. Even her breathing was heavy. If it was like this, Cara knew something must have happened to her goddess.

{Tell me, why are you asking such a ridiculous thing?}

Kaili was also not a selfish woman who did not understand about everyone's boundaries. So, when she asked about this, Cara knew for sure that the 'secret' referred to must belong to something that shouldn't be kept secret. The way she deliberately said this was ridiculous, to provoke Kaili's response.

Kaili didn't answer right away. She snorted and then said, "What you say is true, but it doesn't apply to couples who keep their identity a secret from their partners..."

Kaili ended her words, while Cara was taken aback as soon as the words reached her ears.

{What...what happened?} She asked with great enthusiasm and deep anger. She knew the couple Kaili was referring to here was, about her and Dexter. It didn't miss.. She was so sure of it! Because Kaili was not a woman who liked to discuss other people's life problems.
