Chapter 184 - Meeting Ex-fiance

How embarrassing!!! Kaili felt like she was the worst person on this earth!

"Director Delwyn, sorry, that's not what I meant. I… I just-"

Delwyn didn't want Kaili to continue. "There's no need to feel guilty like that. I totally understand what you're worried about."

"Then what about meeting with advertisers?" Kaili asked hesitantly. She shouldn't have asked this because she had suspected Delwyn in the first place. If she were to ask this now, wouldn't she look like someone who didn't know the rules! Kaili was really sorry for asking this.

"Since Miss Goh doesn't agree, I'll make a small meeting in our department, the creative department. Let's decide it there!"

Kaili quickly stopped Delwyn, "I would like to meet the advertisers but I still haven't finished the proposal. I have thought about your suggestion and I'm also working on it right now."

"It does not matter. Do the proposal later after meeting with the advertising company. We can discuss the style they want and the concept that we will propose. After that, we can think about the layout design that we will submit to AE. What do you think?"

Kaili was so happy. Unexpectedly, after hours of uncomfortable pain in her heart, there was finally something that made her happy.

"I won't let you down, director Delwyn," she said earnestly.

"You must repay me with your extraordinary potential. I'm sure you have it!"

Kaili ended the call with joy in her heart.

~The next day~

As promised, Kaili would meet her client at lunch time.

She had previously contacted Delwyn and it was decided that they would meet at the location. Kaili drove her black Maybach there.

Woodpecker Coffee-

Kaili entered the cafe and went straight to the table reserved by Delwyn. It was a private room, which was usually reserved for customers who come to discuss business. She found a man in a silver suit sitting there with his back to her.

Thump…thump!

Kaili's heart was racing so hard. This was her first experience meeting a client. She was still a little doubtful. Could her performance make this client satisfied with her job?

Kaili's heart didn't stop wondering.

"Good afternoon, I am Kaili, the representative of SaBi."

The man turned around and stood up. "Good afternoon, miss. Please have a seat."

Kaili directly took a seat while nodding her head.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." She felt that she wasn't late but unexpectedly, this client had arrived earlier than her. It made her a little bit nervous.

"No problem. We just arrived too."

Kaili immediately caught the word 'we' which meant this person came with friends, but there was only one...

The man seemed to notice the confusion at Kaili's eyes. He continued politely, "My boss went to the toilet."

"Oh…" That was all Kaili could say. She didn't know how to start the conversation. It seemed, before Delwyn came, she could only remain silent because she was really nervous right now. This was her first experience.

"I also didn't come alone today. My boss will be here soon. We didn't come together because he had to finish some business first." Kaili reported.

"It's okay. We still have half an hour left from the appointment," replied the man.

Kaili nodded awkwardly.

"We came too early," the man added.

Just then a waiter came to deliver drinks. The funny thing was, this waiter even brought 4 drinks.

"We had ordered drinks for us and the juice for you. Please have a drink," said the man while taking one of them.

Kaili accepted the drink. She was indeed a little thirsty. Moreover, she was so nervous right now so she needed something to help her throat from drying out.

"Thank you," she said.

She immediately gulped down half of the juice. Maybe because she was too nervous that made her look likes someone thirsty.

"Oh, by the way, do you guys have any additional themes in this ad?" Kaili asked. She didn't want to waste time here either. At first, she came early just to neutralize the nervousness that was bouncing in her heart. She cut off her lunch so that she could arrive earlier than the appointed time. But who would have guessed that her client was already here? She shouldn't waste any more time, right?

She could also ask a few questions while waiting for Delwyn, her director.

Just then, came a reply from the entrance, "There's no need to rush….my fiancé." He finished his sentence in one sentence just as Kaili looked at the source of the voice.

That was Peter Swan!

Kaili's eyes widened. How could this man be the client?

Peter went further inside, continuing to say, "People always say, Kaili, Richard Goh's only daughter, has beautiful eyes. If you look right into her eyes, you will fall in love. I didn't believe it before but seeing you looking at me like that, I felt a little fight was going on inside my heart. Kaili, you are so charming."

Peter's hand presumably touched Kaili's soft face. The woman immediately reacted. She was so disgusted!

Kaili pushed Peter so hard that the man fell two steps back.

Peter didn't get angry right away, instead, his lips curled into a smile that made Kaili feel like throwing up at the sight.

"Kaili… I am your client! Have you never learned the manners of welcoming clients? Oh… I forgot. I should be your first client am I right? I can understand that." The man's tone was disgusting.

Kaili was too lazy to serve him. She got up right away. Predictably, she will leave.

Peter pulled her hand, "Kaili my fiancé, are you going to just leave? We haven't even discussed our project yet."

"Let go of my hand!" Kaili rebuked.

"What if I don't want to?" Peter's other hand pressed against Kaili's shoulder, forcing her to sit up. But this Kaili was so stubborn, who could order her?

"I'd rather lose this project than I have to deal with you!" Kaili said the sentence out loud.
