“Can we meet again next time?” Chen Yunsheng asked in a soft voice.

Ji Fanyin loosened her grip and took a step backward to look at him.

“En, if there is the chance,” she chuckled.

Chen Yunsheng stared at her for a moment and frowned. “Are you in a bad mood? Let me send you to the parking lot.”

As he said that, he already began taking his shoes out of the shoe rack.

True to his words, he sent her all the way to her car. Even her car door was closed by him.

Chen Yunsheng stood by the side of the car and hesitated, before bidding her farewell. “See you again next time.”

Ji Fanyin smiled. “Good bye.”

The trip home took forty minutes.

Ji Fanyin walked back to her apartment, closed the door, sat on the sofa, rejected a call from Ji Xinxin, and finally looked at the countdown timer.

There were still six minutes left. There was still ample time.

The goal she had worked toward for nearly an entire year was right within her reach. Her heart started racing like it had never before.

It was probably the jitters people experience before returning to their hometown.

As the timer approached 【00:00:00】, Ji Fanyin took a slow deep breath.

… Will I be able to get home safely?

The moment the timer finally hit 【00:00:00】, Ji Fanyin felt a force lightly tugging her from behind, followed by darkness.

In the endless darkness, a door appeared.

It was like it was waiting there for her to open it.

Ji Fanyin instinctively felt that she would return back to her world the moment she opened that door.

The app had not lied.

Before she took another step forward, she subconsciously looked back.

Behind her was a lady who looked exactly like her… No, to be exact, some who looked exactly like ‘Ji Fanyin’.

They had the same face but totally different dispositions.

The lady looked like an introverted young girl. She had a set of side bangs that were pulled downwards to cover her helpless eyes.

Ji Fanyin instinctively knew who she was.

“...Thank you.” The young girl took a deep breath and raised her head to look straight into Ji Fanyin’s eyes. In a soft voice, she thanked her.

Ji Fanyin wanted to say something but she could not muster up her voice. In the end, she could only return her thanks with a smile and walk toward the white door.

The moment she pushed the door open, her floating soul seemed to get heavier and heavier and before finally sinking back into the shell which was her body.

Slowly, Ji Fanyin regained senses in her toes, then her fingers, then her body and finally her face.

When she finally opened her eyes, a white ceiling came into view. The smell of disinfectant gushed into her nose, characteristic of a hospital.

Turning her head slightly to her side was her tongue-tied assistant.

“Boss Yin!”

Her assistant leaped in the air belatedly. “You’re awake!”

The loud scream pained her ears but she still could not resist laughing.

“... That’s right, I’m back.”
