Chapter 81：You Sulking?

Hai Rin rub her forehead before she walked to the bathroom. Have a shower and wearing her bathrobe after that, she lay on the bed. A few second after she lay, she went into slumber.

Richard just went back to the mansion. He opened the sliding door and walk inside the bedroom.

He stopped his pace when seeing Hai Rin already fall asleep with her wet hair.

His gaze turn soft as he walk to her and caress her hair. After a moment he stand back and walk to the bathroom. He find a new towel and bring to the bed.

He put the towel on her head and dry her hair softly. He knew, Hai Rin was a heavy sleeper. She won't wake up even there is an earthquake beside her. He also help her to change her bathrobe to nightgown.

Seeing her soft face and wet hair made him feel uneasy inside. He had to try very hard to made his desire in control.

Luckily her period had just finish this morning, so she could sleep without any worried about her position.

Hai Rin wake up after 10 PM. Her stomach make a growling sound.

She look at her dress. It was her nightgown. 'When did I change my bathrobe?' she tilted her head a moment before she walk to the dress room.

Grab a white cardigan in the room, she walk to the dining room. The maids all greet her politely when seeing her walk to the kitchen.

She smile politely to the maids and went to the kitchen counter facing chef Xia's back. she cough a little before she smile to the man.

Chef Xia was surprised when see young Madam Lee in the kitchen.

"Young madam Lee, do you need me to prepare you a dinner?" he ask carefully.

Before Hai Rin could answer, a cold voice from her behind already speak first.

"That's okay, you can go now chef Xia. I can prepare her dinner." Richard said while leaning on the frame door.

Hai Rin jolt her body a little. She turned her head slowly to the man behind her.

"When did you come back?"

"When you was sleeping."

After Chef Xia walk out from the kitchen with all other maids, he walk to the kitchen counter and take out a few vegetables from the fridge to the cutting board

He slide up his long sleeves and take the knife from the cupboard. Hai Rin help him washing the vegetables and pass it to him after.

Sensing his wife not talking again, he ask her.

"You sulking?"

"Yes."

"Did you wait for me that time?" he still continue his work without looking at her.

"Yes."

He stop his hand. "How long did you wait?"

"Long enough."

"You didn't receive my message that I send to you?"

" I receives it at 1:30 AM."

He turned his body to her. His face was a little surprised by what he heard.

"You wait for me until 1:30 AM?"

"You think I'm stupid enough?" she lift her brow a little.

"I'm sorry for not calling you. I had an urgent matter that I need to return back to Imperial City at any rate."

"Hm. Did you bring her along when you return to Imperial City?"

Startle a moment, Richard shake his head slowly.

"You left her there?" She open the fridge and take out a few snack from it and walk to the stool chair in front of him.

"I said to you that I just send her right? I think she already discharge and take flight back here now." He said nonchalantly.

Looking deep in his eyes, she said "So, in simple word, you just ditch her on her own at the hospital in the foreign city?"

"Don't make it sound like I do worst thing to her. I asked her to call medic team before but she refused. After all, I had a date."

"Date huh?" she smirk and said again.

"I forgot, that you too ditched me last night. I'm tired Richard. Tired chasing over you." She lifting her chin using her arm.

"…" he lost word as he keep continued to make her dinner. After he finished, he put the dish in front of her.

"Here. Try this."

Hai Rin take the cutlery and start to dig in. she lift her brow a little after she tasted the dish.

'It's quite good.'

"Does it taste good?" he asked softly. His eyes turn soft seeing her eat tastefully.

"Hm. Not bad."

She ate her dinner silently while Richard keep staring at her beautiful face.

After finishing dinner, the two of them return to their room. While laying beside him, she placed her arm around Richard's chest.

"So, tell me. What happen that day when you left me?" her curiosity beat her sulking.

"Hm?" he frowned a little.

"I mean, you said, that you need to return back no matter what. So is it has something to do with your business? "

"No. but I can't tell you the details either."

"Oh? Okay. I hope it not something that end up with Su Zhin matter though." She snug to his embrace.

Richard just nodded her head.

'Well, actually it has something to do with her.' But, how can he admit that? He could not let Hai Rin go sulking again.

"Richard.. do you.. ever love her?" she lowered her voice.

"Why did you ask?"

"I want to be prepared when the day you really left me come later."

'Well, if you never love her, how can you love me either? You have been with her for a years.' she only said this line on her heart.

He fell silent.

Hugged her body tightly he said softly. "I'll make sure my decision will be fair for all of us."

Hai Rin did not asked again. She could only hope that he really made a fair decision. She closed her eyes and fall asleep after that.
