Chapter 76：I Like You

Back at the resort, Hai Rin ask her worker to prepared one room for Andy Lu if he coming tonight. After the she pass the detail to her manger and her subordinate, she went back to her room.

Feeling tired she lay in her bed. She still have her period cramp. Feeling sick on her back, she keep rolling on the bed until she fall asleep.

When she wake up, the outside already dark. Her stomach making a grumble sound as she touch her stomach. Feeling hungry she get dress and take her car keys.

In Qinglong town there is one bar that the local people use to go and having some entertainment.

When Hai Rin walk in inside the bar, there a lot of middle aged guys and a few of middle aged woman inside. She just smile and sit at the stool in the counter.

"Hot milk please." she said at the bartender. Bar tender is an old man. Seeing Hai Rin's trouble face he walk behind the bar.

After the bar tender pass her hot milk, he asked her "Want something to eat?"

"Yeah, will you give me some fries. I don't feel like I want a heavy diner."

"Sure."

She just silently sit and enjoy her drink and fries while seeing a few people playing snooker on her right side. There are also some people who just having a casual talk to each other.

When she want to drink her third glass of beer after finishing the diner, suddenly Andy Lu take over her glass.

"A woman should not drink alone at night." he look at Hai Rin face with a serious expression.

Hai Rin smirk as she start to feel a bit drunk.

"Andy..what took you so long?" she asked.

"I could not find the earliest flight." he sit beside her and drink her beer.

He squinted his eyes with the taste of the beer. He doesn't like to drink, that Is why he had a weird expression.

"Hmm.. it's okay. As long as you coming here, I am happy though."

"What makes you coming here alone? You know it's dangerous did you?"

"I'm hungry. But I don't wanna stay in my room too."

"Hm. Let's go back. I think you are a little drunk."

"Can you drive? I think I won't be able to drive now." she said slowly while looking at her car keys on the table.

"Of course I can. Even if I can't drive, I will carry you. don't worry." he ruffled her hair and stand up ready to go out from the bar.

After they arrive at the parking spot in the resort, he want to bring her to her room but Hai Rin suddenly walk to the right of the receptionist counter.

She go out to her flower garden. She open the gate and sit at one of the bench nearing the artifact waterfall that she design.

Andy Lu could only shake his head slowly. He walk to her and sit beside her.

"Tell me. I will listen to all of your problem." his voice was so gentle.

"Will you listen to my story?"

"Of course I will. You are the important person to me."

"Hm. Thanks Andy."

"So what is your story then?"

She start to tell him from the start until the end of her miserable story. When was done she asked him.

"Am I the bad person? I tried to snatch him from his girlfriend."

"No. You're not."

"Then, does this make me a slut?" her voice was slow, but still can be heard by Andy Lu.

"What make you think you're slut?"

She shake her head slowly.

"You are his legal wife, you have the title as Mrs Lee. Why would a title 'girlfriend' made you afraid of her?" he slid her hair to her ear. His voice so gentle and his gaze also look so soft. Like a person trying to calm down a little kid.

"She is the one that he love, of course I would feel intimidated by her. When I see them together I feel jealousy in my heart. I can't stand it."

"Did he said himself that he love her?"

She shake her head. No, he never mentioned that he loved Su Zhin in front of her nor he love her too. So, who is the one that he love between her and Su Zhin?

"Okay, let me tell you a secret. Promise me you won't say anything to Richard. Deal?" he held her chin to look up at his face.

Hai Rin frown her brow a little. "What secret?"

"The reason why Richard make Su Zhin as his girlfriend." he smile looking at the curious face Hai Rin made.

"Okay. Deal. Tell me tell me."

"It happen when we were twenties. That day I was with him finding Lee Zhing in a night club. Between the three of us, Lee Zhing was the wildest among us. Since all the other Lee was not at home that day, she decide to go enjoying herself at the night club she didn't inform us." he stop a moment before he continue again.

"we both never go to the night club, so unfortunately we go to the wrong night club to find her. When we were about to go out, suddenly the drunken illegal under aged Su Zhin bumped into Richard. She keep saying her body was hot and she keep clinging on Rinchard body."

"Since we were very wise man, Richard bring her to his secret house at the outskirt of city. Her dress was drench with the alcohol and her hair messy that time. He lay her on his bed and.."

"Don't tell me he had sex with the drunken Su Zhin?" Hai Rin eyes was already widen.

"No. They are not. I was there, how can he have sex while I was standing there?" Hai Rin release a sigh.

"But, Richard instruct me to change her cloth into the bathrobe since her dress was drench with the alcohol and Richard couldn't stand the smell of her. I was a scapegoat that time." he sigh after remembering that night.

"You..You saw her naked?" her face look unbelievable with what she just heard.

"Heh, you think I would look at her unattractive naked body? Of course not. I wrap my eye with a cloth before I change her while your husband standing at the living room." he smirk a little.

"Then what happen after that?"

"The next morning when she awake, she was so furious. She thought that she had sex with us. After we gave an explanation, she go out from the house. Next week after, suddenly she appear out of nowhere and keep bumping into us. Well, for me it's strange. Imperial City was so big with the millions of citizen, how can you bump into a person that you once saw for a few time and an accurate place?"

"Hm. That's sound suspicious." Hai Rin rub her chin like thinking something.

"Yup. Indeed. But Richard didn't see it that way. After a few meeting, she confess to him. But Richard reject her immediately. Then, a month later, I was assign to my new mission, so I was not around him to guard him. What I know is there is a drunken lorry driver who run the red light and almost hit Richard which is happen to cross the road."

"And then?"

"Err..let me think. Let me think." she made a stop gesture. Touch her lips and knit her brow a little she said again.

"Because I was in love with you?"

"Hm. Almost. She said 'I love you so I couldn't bear the thought of losing you. I ready to lose mine if that can save you.'. boom! With that, your beloved husband declare her as his girlfriend."

"That easy?"

Andy Lu nodded his head. "Richard is simple person. If you tell him A then he will believed it. As long as he see that is the A."

"isn't that more like stupid?"

He chuckle and knock Hai Rin head a little. "Don't call him stupid. He is genius, but he is a bit slow about love. As far as I keep watching them together, there is not once I heard he said 'love' word to her."

"Hm..that's means I also didn't stand a chance. He never said 'love' word to me too." she mumble to herself.

"Rin, may I tell you one secret more?"

"What is it."

"i like you."
