The two cameramen following the two guests understood Jiang Xun completely. With a barely-held snicker, the two of them walked out happily despite Gu Wei’s desperate wish for them to stay.

“Don’t leave me alone–! He has a criminal record of being a hooligan with me!!” Slumped pitifully on the floor, Gu Wei yelled in the direction of the closing door.

Just as the door closed, Gu Wei could hear the two merciless men laughing raucously from outside.

“Get up, it’s cold on the ground,” Jiang Xun stretched out his hand to Gu Wei.

Gu Wei blinked, took Jiang Xun’s hand,  nd stood up from the ground.

“Did it hurt when you fell earlier?” Jiang Xun asked.

Gu Wei: “Huh?”

He followed Jiang Xun’s gaze and realized what Jiang Xun was asking. He blushed slightly and shook his head.

“That’s good.” Jiang Xun said, “it’s convenient for us to settle grudges.”

Although Jiang Xun was repeatedly told by his family not to bully Gu Wei, every time he saw Gu Wei, he couldn’t help but want to tease him. And this time, it was Gu Wei who had wronged him first, so it was only fair that Jiang Xun had his share of fun, right?

When Jiang Xun met Gu Wei a few days ago, this little friend of his dyed his hair silvery-white and looked quite fierce. Today, because of the show’s filming, he dyed it back to black. With his natural makeup and contrasting dark hair, it made his complexion look fairer. On top of that, his frame was slight, and quite frail compared to him. All of that combined made the idol look especially obedient and youthful.

The youth totally sold the “obedient, good, well-behaved” kid so well it made Jiang Xun felt guilty of his desires… of settling the scores.

Gu Wei was a little restless under Jiang Xun’s gaze, so he took the initiative to say, “Ge, I was wrong.”

He was brought by Jiang Xun to the chair in the infirmary, and he was forcefully made to sit down by Jiang Xun via pushing his shoulders down. Gu Wei felt the atmosphere of some criminal who was about to be interrogated into confessing their crimes.

These words of apology sounded familiar to Gu Wei, as if not long ago, he just promised that he would never cause trouble again.

If he thought hard about it… since that inexplicable engagement, he kept making mistakes one after another.

“What do you think you did wrong?” Jiang Xun looked at him with interest.

Gu Wei was often hacked, so he intimately knew that the best way to admit his mistake is to press his head and start to list all his mistakes: “I shouldn’t excavate your Weibo, I shouldn’t liked the post, I shouldn’t just disappear after doing that, and I shouldn’t ignore you after you confronted me on WeChat…”

Gu Wei told everything he felt he did wrong, and then looked at Jiang Xun with puppy-dog eyes, hoping to be praised.

Jiang Xun said with a straight face, “none of them is correct.”

“Huh?” Gu Wei was a little lost when he didn’t get the compliment he seek.

Jiang Xun reminded him, “you somehow read all the way to my ten-years-old Weibo post, and even liked it, but you didn’t even give me a follow?”

Didn’t Gu Wei say that he was Jiang Xun’s fan?

Gu Wei: “…”

Got it, got it.

He almost forgot that he had previously set himself up as a hardcore fan – someone who was devoted enough to read ten-years worth of Weibo posts to know his idol’s complete history.

So, how could he not follow his supposed-idol’s Weibo?

“I see.” Gu Wei corrected his mistake, “I’ll give you a follow after the filming.”

“What else?” Jiang Xun refused to let go.

“Anything else?” Gu Wei was dumbfounded, “why don’t I post a clarification too?”

He had many scandals all year around, so he was familiar with all kinds of whitewashing routines. He had even already write up the post in his mind–

[Hi everyone, I am Gu Wei, a good friend of God Xun. He’s really not lonely. Thank you for everyone’s concern. Instead, please pay attention to our Jiang Xun’s future games! He really is training hard everyday!]

He could also host some giveaways on Weibo. Or give a like to the meme’s every Weibo post. Or maybe he could give Jiang Xun his well-deserved spotlight to show off.

After all, his setting as a “fan” could never collapse.

He would do anything to hold up that setting.

“What are you thinking about, want to continue to send my black history to hot search?” Jiang Xun totally read Gu Wei’s mind with a glance.

Gu Wei: “…”

Gu Wei: “No, no, no. Absolutely not.”

“Ge, we’re still filming a show. Since I am your diehard fan, why don’t we keep this private?” In the end, this matter was Gu Wei’s (hands’) fault, so he must make up for it.

But he knew that Jiang Xun always protected his fans. That’s great news for Gu Wei, as he was Jiang Xun’s fan!

Although he can only be regarded as Jiang Xun’s reaction meme’s fan at best. As he understood nothing about the e-sports side of things.

But that didn’t matter. Fans didn’t need to take exams to prove their authenticity.

“Okay,” Jiang Xun smiled, “how do you want to settle this privately?”

Obviously it was just a normal question. But Gu Wei somehow remembered that encounter in the backstage dressing room, where Jiang Xun cornered him against the door and called him his “little bride”.

So Gu Wei involuntarily blushed.

This big hooligan wouldn’t… wouldn’t still be thinking about that “yearly subscription”, would he?

But the engagement had been annulled, right?

“Why did you suddenly blush?” Jiang Xun immediately noticed this change, “did you, perhaps, think of the compensation as something… not suitable for children?”

Gu Wei quickly retorted, “I didn’t…”

Jiang Xun deliberately lowered his voice, “it’s okay, I don’t mind at all. We can settle it ‘privately’ in that manner as well, if you want it.”

Gu Wei: “I mind!!”

“How about…” Gu Wei frantically racked his brains before he finally came up with a proposal, “I show you the me of ten years ago too? An eye for an eye and all that stuff, right?”

Ten years ago, Gu Wei was a 100%, absolutely, 24 karat124 karat or 24k is the purest grade of gold. Btw: “carat” is for diamonds instead genuine stuff, just an eight-year-old brat. A little fool with little money.

Jiang Xun probably wouldn’t be interested, as that kind of kid wasn’t rare.

While Jiang Xun was still thinking in silence, Gu Wei’s imagination ran wild. He had started to think about the feasibility of that year-long subscription, of how likely he would suddenly end up selling his body for Jiang Xun. But before he could think more deeply, Jiang Xun nodded thoughtfully–

“Alright, I agree.”

Gu Wei had escaped the clutches of the devil.

“Let’s film the show first. When there’s time, let me see you from ten years ago.” Jiang Xun didn’t want to bully Gu Wei too much, so he gave out a saving grace to Gu Wei. He reached out a hand towards Gu Wei, in symbol of his forgiveness.

Gu Wei grabbed Jiang Xun’s hand, followed his footsteps, and smiled behind Jiang Xun.

It seemed that Big Perv Jiang wasn’t as bad as he imagined.

“My loving hug is still wasted on you though…” Gu Wei whispered, thinking that Jiang Xun didn’t hear it. But he didn’t see the smile in Jiang Xun’s eyes.

The morning fog gradually dissipated, and the scenery on the campus became clearer. Gu Wei followed Jiang Xun, suddenly feeling relieved for no reason.

He couldn’t understand this feeling for the time being, so he chose to leave it behind.

Their cameramen caught up, and the filming continued. Gu Wei and Jiang Xun went downstairs to look for the rest of the guests.

The two people temporarily put aside their personal grievances and got along fairly well.

“I have a question,” Gu Wei asked. He was bothered by something for a long time.

Jiang Xun smiled: “Tell me.”

“This is an ordinary school uniform, yeah?” Gu Wei tugged on his neat school uniform, “just what makes it a school bully attire?”

Jiang Xun looked at Gu in front of him. No, indeed, with a well-groomed school uniform and soft black hair, Little Gu looked like a well-behaved student who had yet to graduate, not at all like the school bully role that the crew arranged for him—

Except for the back of the uniform, where the word “BAD” written in big letters was stuck.

“What are you laughing at?” Gu Wei was alarmed.

“It’s nothing.” Jiang Xun returned to his serious appearance.

When filming variety shows in the past, Gu Wei mostly felt bored, and his reaction was a bit slow. But today he was completely different. Mainly because he was worried that the reaction meme would suddenly bully him, so he put all his attention on Jiang Xun. However, this somehow made him feel the fun of variety shows for the first time, and he was also willing to take the initiative to think about the pits the crew dug for the guests.

“There should be no guests in the teaching building,” Gu Wei analyzed.

The crew wouldn’t make it so easy that all the guests would be placed in the same building.

Jiang Xun agreed, “let’s go out and have a look.”

However, they were stopped by the show’s staff on the ground floor of the teaching building. “Now the class is in session. Only the school doctor is allowed to roam around, all students must stay in class.”

Gu Wei suddenly realized that the whole role-play schtick actually had some purpose.

What to do now? He couldn’t be stuck inside this building forever.

“If you answer all three questions correctly, you can leave here,” The staff member said, “the questions are all about our guests. It’s not that difficult. Do you want to try?”

“Try!” Gu Wei cheered up.

The staff took out the question card and started a quick Q&A session—

Staff: “No.1 pop song of this spring?”

This question was simple, and Gu Wei’s eyes lit up.

“Qian Yining’s ‘Missing’!”

Staff: “The new drama that will be released next month, the one with two male protagonists and a plotline revolving around criminal investigation…”

This question was also simple, and Gu Wei’s eyes lit up once again.

“Bei Ke’s ‘No Tomorrow’, I know this!”

The dawn of victory was just around the corner.

Staff “The last question: what is the total number of eliminations done by the MVP Jiang Xun in the recent World Championship of the FPS game ‘Shou Ze’?”

This question was simple, and Jiang Xun’s eyes lit up.

As long as Gu Wei was Jiang Xun’s fan, it was  impossible to not know the answer to this question.

Gu Wei: “…”

Gu Wei’s eyes darkened.

He was fucked. Again.

Hoisted by his own petards.

oh Gu Wei, my sweet summer child, the depth of the hole you’re digging for yourself is astounding…
