Chapter 1133 - I Believe You Will Return

Just before the office hours were about to be over, Xiao Min went to Lu Lijun's office. Putting one file on Lu Lijun's table, Xiao Min informed. "Information, the fourth young master asked for."

Lu Lijun nodded lightly and asked while looking into the file Xiao Min brought, "Have your boss finished work?"

"Yes!"

"Early today?" Lu Lijun asked, looking into the file.

"Boss needs to go to Jiang Residence," Xiao Min informed.

It surprised Lu Lijun, and he finally looked at Xiao Min with a questioning gaze. "Anything important?"

"Not sure!" replied Xiao Min and bowed, saying he needed to leave.

Lu Lijun stood up. "Is President Lu still in office?"

"Yes," Xiao Min replied casually.

"Good!" Saying Lu Lijun stepped out of his office and Xiao Min thought he must have something important to ask before his boss leaves the office.

Lu Lijun went to Jiang Yuyan's office, where she finished her work and was about to leave just after the clock struck the last minute of office hours and after collecting her stuff.

She saw Lu Lijun in her office but ignored him and continued keeping the files aside, which she had finished working on.

"I heard you are going to your parent's home," Lu Lijun commented, stepping towards Jiang Yuyan's work table.

"Hmm!" She nodded lightly, not willing to talk much.

"When will you return?" Lu Lijun asked as he stood across the table.

"Not sure," she replied as it didn't matter to inform him.

"Fine then, I don't mind shifting my stay to in-laws' home," Lu Lijun said calmly, but his words carried the warning for her that she understood.

She frowned and looked at him. "Why don't you first focus on the project that had only a little time left. Thankfully they shifted the date for later, so you will get more time to prepare. Please make use of it. I hope you don't want to cause the loss for the entire Lu Corporation just because of your childish stunts."

"Is it like my wife will return once I win that project?"

"I didn't say it," she countered coldly.

"Then, does that mean I can shift with my wife to my in-laws?" he asked calmly.

"First, stop calling me your wife, and whether I leave or return doesn't concern the project," she replied.

"You didn't give me an alternate word for a wife when I asked you last time, so I preferred to stick to calling you wife. How would I know what you like to be called unless you tell me?"

It was so frustrating for her when he acted ignorantly to what she exactly meant and twisted her words. Greeting her teeth, she could only repeat the same thing while pressuring on each word. "I..AM...NOT…"

"Don't!" he warned as he didn't wish to hear what she wanted to say. "I warned you last time. Don't say it, or I'll forget we are in office, and I have to show you I'm your husband." His words were full of warning, and she could understand the underlying meaning.

She looked at him mockingly. "How will you prove it? Do you want to do something to me? Go ahead; I'm tired of your threats. All men are the same anyways," she scoffed.

"If you think after saying it, I will back down, so I'm sorry to disappoint you. Don't permit me so easily as if it's nothing. You might regret it." he said, not being affected by her comment.

"I don't have time to listen to bullshit from you." Giving up, she stood up and grabbed her bag to leave.

Before she could even cross the side of her table, Lu Lijun moved to one side to block her path next to the work table. "Work hours are over," he said.

She clenched her fists to control her anger. "You will make me hurt you one day, Lu Lijun" she warned.

"I already said I don't mind," he replied, staring back into her eyes. "I am here. Either you hurt me, or I'll do what I want."

"If you dare do what you did before…"

"What did I do? Are you shy to mention it?" he asked coldly, staring into her eyes, and she did the same as if the last bit of her patience was about to break.

None of the two were ready to back down.

"If you dare kiss me again, I won't….."

Lu Lijun immediately pecked on her cheek, making her freeze, and whispered against her cheek. "This is not a kiss."

She stepped back. "This...This is not allowed too."

"You can allow that kid Weiwei to peck on your cheeks, then why not me?" he countered.

"Oh god," she sighed in disbelief, "Oh god...I simply can't believe this." She felt like banging her head somewhere as she moved back, not knowing what to do with the thought process of this guy. "What are you, Lu Lijun?" she asked helplessly.

"Your husband?" he replied casually.

"Weiwei is just a kid."

"Don't you call me a kid too? Why don't you come up to decide I am an a.d.u.l.t and I can court you."

She felt like she will go mad if she continued to argue with him. "My brain can't process your way of thinking."

"Let your heart do the job then," he countered calmly again. The more she was irritated, the more he was calm.

"Argghh….I am out," she said angrily, annoyingly, and with all those frustrating emotions enough to make someone lose their calm.

She knew the argument would only continue, and there won't be any positive result out of it when this guy was so stubborn.

Just as she passed by, Lu Lijun held her hand to stop her but didn't turn to look at her, and neither she looked at him.

"I will wait for you to return on the day of the project," he said, knowing she didn't have any plan to return soon. "And I believe you will return."

She pulled her hand out of his hold that he let go easily, and she left the office as Lu Lijun heard the light sound of door slam.
