Chapter 10.3 - Xingfan

Bai Xinglan sometimes even thought that if he were a woman, he would never marry a man like his brother, Bai Xingfan. Although his brother was very handsome and rich, he devoted his life to work and had no time to love. But this was not the most unacceptable point for him. The most unacceptable point was that his brother was not interested in women, and he thought that women would only delay his time like water off a duck's back.

Bai Xinglan didn't know what other people's brothers were, but his brother had never taken him to meet any beautiful ladies, and he didn't even look at the most popular traffic flowers in the entertainment industry today.

He had lived with his brother in that ancient town for less than a week and couldn't hold on anymore. The ancient town was newly developed, and there were not many entertainment facilities. Apart from walking and enjoying the ancient atmosphere of the town, the tourists could go on a boat ride. So our 21st-century man, Bai Xinglan, was frustrated because he couldn't enjoy the peaceful beauty of this small town, and luckily there was Wi-Fi in the town, otherwise, he would have gone crazy. 

One day at noon, the entire ancient town lost electricity due to the sudden heavy rain. When Wi-Fi died suddenly, Bai Xinglan completely collapsed. The other worst thing that happened was that they could not go out for dinner or order takeout. Neither he nor his brother could cook, so Bai Xinglan was prepared to die of hunger. 

Just when he was about to starve to death, a tempting smell of food broke through the rain and floated over from the blue brick wall, making his mouth water.

Bai Xinglan knew that there lived a beautiful older sister in the yard next door who also lived alone.

The pretty sister looks kindhearted, so will I be able to have a meal there? Thinking like that, he picked up the umbrella, and said to his brother: "I'm going to beg for food next door; do you want to come with me?" 

In fact, he was just asking politely, because according to what he knew about his brother, this person who loved faces would definitely not do such a thing as "beg for food,"  and the end result would definitely be him alone.

And it was actually good to go alone, otherwise, the two strange men would suddenly come to the door, and the young lady would definitely be scared, not to mention that his brother had always been impatient with women, and one look could make people run away.

Who knew his brother stood up without hesitation from the mahogany sofa that day, as if his head had been hit somewhere and he had lost his mind: "Together."

Bai Xinglan: "..."

After a moment of silence, he asked first: "Then what? You and others have known each other?"

Bai Xingfan: "No."

Bai Xinglan was heartbroken: "You have lived here for almost a month and you haven't said hello to anyone?! According to my observation, it seems that only you two live on this street, why don't you take the initiative to say hello to her?"

Bai Xingfan’s face was slightly blue, as if he had been poked at some unspeakable pain point. He was quite embarrassed, and he finally squeezed out three words from his teeth: " I don’t know."

Really, he has no flirting skills! What a man... I'm worried that you will lose your children and grandchildren! Bai Xinglan could not stop such thoughts. 

"You didn't say hello before, but now that you go to beg for food empty-handed, aren’t you embarrassed?" Bai Xinglan asked.

His brother corrected: "It is you who is going to beg for food."

After telling that, Bai Xingfan took the umbrella and walked calmly into the rain. "Knock on the door first, and the meal will be paid for separately."

Bai Xinglan froze for a moment, then chased after his brother with the umbrella up, saying, "What if she doesn't want money? Why are you... Thinking about using money to solve everything...

"Then give me two extra meals."

"What do you mean?"

"I'll go tomorrow also."

At that time, he still thought that his brother was so smart that he came up with such a good solution to solve the two of their food and clothing problems in the ancient town—no need to eat takeout or wait for the driver to deliver it; they could eat it next door, which was really convenient Great, no longer have to worry about being starved to death!

However, when they came to the door next door, his brother didn't knock, but gave him a look, signalling him to knock.

He didn't think much about it at the time and immediately stretched out his hand and patted the courtyard door vigorously: "Is there anyone here?" Emergency rescue!" 

Not long after, the wooden door was opened, and a beautiful woman in a blue dress appeared.
