“Ahhh…!”

“Band…booomn…thud…bang…Ahhh!”

.....

The sound of violent clashes echoed throughout the NHC building, a discordant symphony of grunts and thuds punctuated by the occasional moan of pain. Up on the upper floors, a small group of fighters, led by a man named Shun, were engaged in a fierce battle with a horde of soulless humans.

“Erick-san, leave them to us and go ahead!” Shun called out, his eyes fixed on the zombie-like figures that continued to rise, even after being beaten mercilessly.

“Hmm, you should be careful of them. These people aren’t themselves anymore. Send them on their merry way,” Erick replied, observing the soulless people as they moved with puppet-like motions. It was as if their bodies were being controlled by strings, with no semblance of themselves inside.

Shun and the others nodded, grateful for the advice. They too had felt that something was off about these creatures, but they couldn’t quite put their finger on what it was. With renewed determination, they set about finishing off the remaining soulless humans.

“Settle them before they get dangerous for others!” Erick said with a pensive tone, he didn’t want to see this building crumble and become a problem for others.

Erick noticed an abnormality in the blood of these soulless people, so he warned Leader Shun and gave them some instructions on how to deal with them.

He left the hundred or so soulless humans to Shun, Cortel, Merial, and the others, and made his way up to the upper floor with ghost-like movements. His goal was to catch the leader who was controlling these soulless humans and put a stop to the chaos once and for all.

As Erick stepped onto the top floor, he was struck by the eerie emptiness and the murky energy that seemed to permeate the atmosphere. He could sense a presence emanating from one of the glass offices, along with several others that bore a resemblance to the soulless humans he had encountered below.

“Click…!” “Wooosh!”

As he opened the door, a fist lashed out at him with lightning speed. But Erick was faster; he caught the punch in his clutches and flung the attacker aside. He then turned his attention to the human sitting in the boss chair, a handgun trained on him. The man was visibly trembling with fear or perhaps from the adrenaline coursing through his veins.

“Who...who are you, and why did you attack this place?” the man stuttered, struggling to maintain his composure.

Erick replied in a dismissive tone, “No need to bother with my identity, for I will soon be sending you to your deserved place – which is hell – for the sins you have committed in your life.” He advanced on the trembling man, swatting the soulless humans aside like mere pests and transforming their bodies into macabre works of art etched into the wall.

“Bang…bang…bang!!”

The scarred boss immediately fired all the bullets from his gun after seeing his strongest lackeys swatted like flies.

The sound of gunfire rang through the air as Erick reacted swiftly to the sight of bullets and his hands moved in a blur, becoming a flurry of motion as if he had grown multiple limbs.

“Swish...swish!” The sound of his hands slicing through the air was followed by a loud clanging noise as Erick tossed the spent bullets onto the table.

In the midst of the chaos, Erick’s hand snaked out and seized the mastermind by the throat, his grip tightening until the man struggled for breath.

“Gawhhahhh!” The sound of the struggle filled the room, punctuated by the cracking of bones as Erick tightened his grip even further. And then, as if on a whim, he released his hold slightly and addressed the man.

“So, what was your name?” Erick spoke with a cold detachment, his voice devoid of any emotion.

“Gaye...gawhhh...Bonal...ahahhh!” The man wheezed out his name in the midst of his struggle to breathe.

“Ah, Mr. Gaye Bonal, your life has been filled with bad deeds. You won’t be going alone, as I’ll be sending others to join you soon enough.” Erick’s words were matter-of-fact, a small piece of information offered to the dying man.

“Crack...!!” The sound of a bone breaking echoed through the room as Erick tightened his grip once more, ending the man’s struggle for good.

“Well, you got off easy, Mr. Bonal. I was thinking of putting you through hellish torture, but I guess your partner will have to enjoy that instead.” Erick muttered under his breath, his face a mask of cold indifference.

Erick rummaged through the safe, his hands moving with practised ease as he searched for the files he had been asked to retrieve. The safe’s lock proved to be no match for him as he swiftly broke it open.

“Where did you put all the files? Aha, here they are!” Erick exclaimed, holding up a thick bundle of files. He scanned through the documents, a mocking smile playing at the corners of his mouth as he realized how foolish the perpetrators had been to leave such damning evidence in plain sight.

“Ah, so there were five scums in total responsible for creating this hellhole,” Erick muttered, his eyes flicking across the names on the pages. But as he continued to read, his attention was drawn to other files with the word “underground” mentioned on them.

“Well, well, what do we have here?” As he gazed down upon the building, a cruel smile crept across Erick’s face. He extended his Origin sense, probing deep beneath the structure, and recoiled at the thick, putrid scent of murky energy emanating from below.

“Ah, so the rats have yet to flee their den.” Erick spoke with disdain, recognizing that there was a large space hidden beneath the building, and that several individuals still lingered within. They would not escape his wrath for their involvement in this sordid affair.

With enough evidence now in his possession, Erick muttered to himself, “This should be sufficient. As for the rest, let the hellfire reduce them to ash...!” Flames flickered to life in the palm of his hand as he watched the inferno consume everything in the room.

As the flames sizzled and crackled, Erick’s attention returned to the underground. “Now it’s your turn,” he muttered with a cold glint in his eye, disappearing in a flash towards the hidden space with incredible speed.

“I shall give you a taste of hell’s torment,” he declared, relishing the thought of unleashing his wrath upon those who had dared to take part in creating this hellhole. Would they be able to withstand the fury of his attack, or would they crumble beneath the weight of his retribution? Only time would tell, and they could only wait and watch as Erick prepared to unleash his full torture upon them.
