Chapter 48 Tasting Vinegar

The next day, like yesterday, Mu Yuehan knocked on the door of the apartment of Nian Tian. The only difference was, this time, he had a cup in his hand, the cup in which Nian Tian served him coffee yesterday.

"Oh god, no." Nian Tian groaned when she saw him. "What?"

For the whole night, Nian Tian was not able to sleep. Whenever she closed her eyes, she saw his 440-watt smile and the dimple on his cheeks. He looked so handsome in her dreams, but not more than in reality.

"Can I have a cup of coffee like yesterday?" Mu Yuehan asked shamelessly.

"No, the packet of coffee at my place is finished." Nian Tian lied and closed the door on his face.

She was feeling quite frustrated with the presence of this charming man. If it was old her, she would have jumped on him by now. But after the betrayal of Fan Yifeng, she did not have the courage to trust another man, especially a man so handsome like Mu Yuehan.

In her eyes, he for sure had some motto to be with her, otherwise, why would he follow her like this even when she had nothing when she was ignoring him like plague.

He could have any girl then why was he following her and only her?

What if he was using her to pass his time at Juju island?

Mu Yuehan chuckled and looked at the closed door. He again knocked on the door.

How could he not vex her a little more?

Isn't this how a hate relationship or hateful feelings get converted into a feeling of love?

"What?" Nian Tian asked without opening the door.

"If you don't have coffee, then, can you serve me some tea?" He bit on his lower lip, to control his laughter, imagining her with a huge scowl on her face.

"No, I don't have any beverage at my house. Now leave." She ordered.

When Nian Tian came out of her apartment, she was shocked to see Mu Yuehan leaning against the opposite wall. His left leg was supporting against the wall and his hands were tucked in his pant pockets, he looked quite dashing in her eyes.

'Stop getting affected by his charms.' Nian Tian scolded herself.

"You didn't leave."

"No, I did not. I remember that your restaurant also serves coffee. So, I thought why not I accompany you to the restaurant?" Mu Yuehan smiled and walked behind Nian Tian.

Nian Tian ignored him and entered the elevator, followed by Mu Yuehan.

"You can't accompany me. I will be going to the grocery shop first." Nian Tian smoothly lied again.

"Great, I was also thinking of doing some grocery shopping."

"I will be going in my car." Nian Tian quickly made an excuse and this time, Mu Yuehan did not say anything back.

Nian Tian furrowed her brows in doubt. She knew he would have said that he was going to share the car with her, but why did he not say so?

Nian Tian got the answer to her question when she arrived at the parking and saw all her vehicles were punctured.

Mu Yuehan looked at her with wickedness. Yesterday, he punctured all her vehicles in case she tried to run away from him in any of them.

"I guess, now you will need to use my car." Mu Yuehan teased. "Or if you want, we can walk to the grocery shop. I don't have a problem with either of them."

Nian Tian angrily stomped her feet and glared at him. "We are taking the car."

"As you say." Mu Yuehan's voice was full of innocence but there was mischief in his eyes.

Mu Yuehan retrieved his car from the parking and honked to get the attention of Nian Tian. She raised her brows in amusement when she saw him driving the latest Porsche.

"Zhan Wei, what do you do for earning?" Nian Tian asked once she buckled herself. She wanted to know what this man did to own this Porsche.

Mu Yuehan looked at her, feeling bad that she called him by the name Zhan Wei. He felt further bad when he lied to her about his work.

"I am driver cum assistant cum bodyguard of Mu Yuehan, heir of Mu conglomerate from Shanghai."

"I didn't know a driver can own such an expensive car." Nian Tian ran her fingers over the smooth dashboard of the car.

She always wanted to own a luxurious car. Jaguar, Porsche, and Lamborghini were one of her favourite brands.

Hash, her uncle never let her buy one and when Qin Yanze gifted her an Audi, it was ruthlessly taken by her aunt. She kept fulfilling the wishes of her aunt, afraid of what her aunt would do to her or her grandpa in case she resisted giving her car to her aunt.

"This is my boss's car. Before the boss and employee relationship, we are friends. Besides, he thinks that it will be more convenient for him if the car is parked at my place." Mu Yuehan again lied.

Nian Tian nodded her head, not completely believing his lie. She turned and looked out of the window, again ignoring Mu Yuehan.

"So, from how long are you staying here on Juju island?" Mu Yuehan asked but he did not get any reply from her.

He sighed and looked ahead on the road. From time to time, he was stealing glances at Nian Tian, his girl, the girl whom he wished to make his wife!

Mu Yuehan was shocked to see several people approaching Nian Tian and exchanging small talks with her. She knew everyone working at the grocery shop and some of the customers.

He was jealous. He was hell jealous, not only of males but also of females. He wanted her to talk with him like this, so carefreely. He wanted to see the smile on her lips when talking to him, instead of anger or irritation.

"Will you keep looking at me or will you do your shopping?" Nian Tian commented on noticing that Mu Yuehan was following her without any cart.

Again, there was slight anger in her voice. It hurt Mu Yuehan. He felt undefinable emotions in his heart.

"Oh." Mu Yuehan stupidly slapped his head and walked back to retrieve a basket for himself. All this while, his eyes were fixed on Nian Tian, afraid she would again vanish from his sight.

"Mister Hawkins."

Mu Yuehan groaned when Nian Tian greeted yet another man and this time the man had a young man accompanying him.
