Chapter 7 I Will Demand A Ring Worth More Than 100 Million Dollars

Zhou Liying arrived at her office and immediately busied herself with her work which she had to miss due to the shareholders' meeting.

She was in the middle of signing an important contract when she received a call from her uncle, Zhou Yonge. She answered the call and cradled her phone in between her shoulder and ear.

"So, how was the meeting?" Zhou Yonge teased the moment Zhou Liying answered his call.

"You know the result. So, why are you asking me about it?"

Zhou Yonge chuckled.

"Tell me, uncle, why have you called me? I don't have much time to chat with you."

"I called to invite you home. It has been so long that you have visited me, from the time of mother's death." There was a sudden dip in his voice.

Zhou Liying was also saddened, remembering how her grandma left this world. She'd never forget her. Such a strong and shrewd lady she was. Zhou Liying also wished to be like her.

"I will visit you but first call Zhou Bingbing. It's like she has forgotten about us after shifting to Shanghai." She companied.

"She is already on her flight."

"Really?" She stopped in between signing the contract and straightened up.

"Really. She has something to tell to us. So, are you coming?"

"I will." She smiled a true and genuine smile that she reserved only for her family.

"Great, I will specially cook dinner with my own hands for my daughters."

"Please no." Zhou Liying groaned. "Your cooking is a disaster, so please don't even think of cooking."

Zhou Yonge chuckled before ending the call.

Zhou Liying placed the phone aside and hasten up the signing of the documents. She was feeling excited at the thought of meeting Zhou Bingbing.

When she woke up from the coma, Zhou Bingbing was a big support to her. She was a true sister. She helped her to bear with her mood swings and emotional attacks.

Zhou Bingbing was always sunshine and she knew how to brighten her mood.

**

Paradise land was one of the most expensive properties in London where many luxurious mansions were located and one of them belonged to Zhou Yonge.

Zhou Liying smoothly drove her car and parked it in front of the mansion.

She made her way inside.

"Liying."

Zhou Yonge excitedly called for her. He walked toward her and took her in his tight fatherly embrace. Zhou Liying sighed feeling his strong fatherly hug.

It was so warm, strong, and full of security!

It was ironic in her life, that her maternal uncle hated her to the core, treating her like a slave, and here was her paternal uncle, treating her better than his daughter.

"I heard how you ended uncle Li." Zhou Yonge broke the hug. Zhou Liying immediately missed the warmth. But she didn't comment on it.

"He deserved it. He dared to make a deal with me."

Zhou Yonge chuckled, hearing the traces of ego in her voice. "You know, he called me to bail him out, for the old time's sakes."

"Don't tell me, uncle, you have bailed him out." She looked at him with wide eyes.

"Nah, I did not. I was already fed up with that old man. He deserves to be in jail."

Zhou Liying chuckled at the jolly nature of her uncle. He was still the president of the Zhou corporation but still, he was so warm and carefree.

"By the way, where is Queen Victoria?" she teasingly mentioned her cousin, and the next second, she got her reply when Zhou Bingbing squealed out her name.

And the next second, Zhou Bingbing dashed down the stairs and threw herself in the arms of Zhou Liying like an arrow. She gave her a tight squeeze.

"Lili, I have missed you so much."

"Bingbing, leave her. Otherwise, she will die of suffocation." Zhou Yonge rebuked. Zhou Bingbing noticed that she was squeezing tightly on the neck of Zhou Liying.

She poked out her tongue and made a silly face. She broke the hug.

Zhou Liying sighed in relief. She looked at her cousin, scrutinizing her from head to toe. Her eyes narrowed when she saw how Zhou BingBing was looking extra radiant today.

"What happened missy? Why this extra glow on your face?"

"Because of this." Zhou Bingbing grinned and raised her hand, dangling her fingers in front of Zhou Liying's face.

Zhou Liying's eyes widened when they fell upon the glittering diamond on the ring finger of Zhou Bingbing. Without waiting for any second, she took a hold of her cousin's hand, looking at the ring on her finger with wide eyes.

"Oh my god, he proposed to you, didn't he?" clear happiness could be heard in the voice of Zhou Liying.

"He did. Finally." Zhou Bingbing squealed, carefully looking at the expression on the face of Zhou Liying which was full of happiness but soon it converted into scorn.

"But what is this? This ring looks so cheap." She complained. "This diamond is not very large, not unique. That Krissy boy didn't spend much money on your ring."

Zhou Liying raised her head and looked at her cousin with disapproval. "How can you accept this cheap ring?"

"This ring is not so cheap, ok?" Zhou Bingbing barked. She was not happy with Zhou Liying's complaints. "It's five million won worth ring."

"Still so cheap. I will not accept a ring worth any less than a hundred million dollars." Zhou Liying twisted her nose with displeasure and Zhou Bingbing fumed.

"Miss Forbes, not everyone is like you, who has high demands. You are one of the richest women in the world, so you have high demands, unlike me."

Last year, as per Forbes and many other organizations, the name of Zhou Liying was included in the top five richest ladies of the world and the top hundred people of the world.

Now she dreamt to work harder, to become richer. She wanted to be on the list of the top ten richest people in the world. She wanted to show women empowerment.

"I am a simple fashion designer and I am very satisfied with the ring given to me by my fiancé. You have no right to criticize it." Zhou Bingbing braked.

Before Zhou Bingbing or Zhou Liying could start a fight over a ring, Zhou Yonge interrupted them, "Stop messing with her like a kid, Liying."

He then added, "I am sure you both are hungry, dinner is already served."
