Chapter 230 Demonic Alter Ego

Blake had seen half-demons in his previous life. Despite how everybody has surprised by Erdrich transformation, Blake knew very well of these types of transformations. They were most of the time, unique to pure half-demons. Because the power of a demon was so strong it conflicted with the other human half, the demon half would attain the power to enhance the human half, creating a series of different transformations often not even present in low-ranked demons. This was a unique capability of half-demons, and as they grew stronger, such a power developed even further. Erdrich was a talented boy, Blake had realized this long ago since he first confronted him, he was bound for greatness.

However, the mental scar of the lost of his mother, and of the rejection of his family for being a half-demon had destroyed his emotional stability, and this made it so the demon side of his body turned into an alter-ego. Once more, this was something not so uncommon within half-demons, and Blake, luckily, knew how to deal with them… And that was by, of course, beating the half-demon until they couldn't stand up anymore!

FLASH!

An enormous red fist emerged in front of Blake, it was several times bigger than Erdrich original hands, and incredibly strong, emanating a powerful concentration of demonic energy, mana, and spiritual essence together into a single punch!

Blake felt the gigantic pressure of the fist seconds before it were to reach him, putting Gluttony in front of himself and then enhancing the entire spear through the infusion of demonic energy and mana into it, increasing its durability and defending with it against Erdrich's fist!

CLAAASH!

An explosion of red energy was unleashed from the enormous fist clashing against Blake's spear, as Erdrich roared loudly, his entire face quickly hardening with red scales, as if he was wearing a mask that showed sharp teeth coming out of his mouth and menacing, empty red eyes.

"It's incredible how much potential you've got-"

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

Without letting Blake speak any longer, a rain of fists clashed against him, pushing him back while Erdrich was losing more and more of his control. The intensity of his attacks were reaching explosive levels of strength, but this power wasn't without a price.

Within the mind of Erdrich, a second mind had emerged the moment his mind broke. After hearing the words of the demons, something inside of him awakened, a darkness that didn't seem to have an end engulfed his mind, and his emotions. It whispered to him that he was a useless little child, and that he… would be able to fight for him.

"Leave me alone! S-Stop!" Erdrich cried within his mind, but the darkness continued to engulf him.

"You're a useless human, your emotions are simply not needed in this world… I shall avenge our mother for you, weak boy." The voice spoke, resonating within Erdrich soul.

"Stop! Blank is my friend… He's not an enemy!"

"Oh? You call a friend the one that said to your face that he killed our mother?"

"T-That's… My mother was… She…!"

p "She what?! She only was fighting to protect us! Yet you forgive the one that killed her and made him your friend?!"

"B-But there was…!"

"There was nothing! No justification is enough to clench our rage, and you know it very well, child!"

"I… my mother…!"

"She died because of HIM! We'll get rid of him, and then of the old man and everyone else… We'll grow stronger together. You have nobody else than me with you, Erdrich! We are sworn brothers, we have to take care of one another…!"

"Y-You're not my brother!"

"I am! I am the only one with you at the end, you're alone. Your family left you, everybody sees you as a monster… What else do you have than yourself? And me, of course."

"Alone…?"

"You've always been alone!"

"No…! Stop!"

"You have no power over me!"

The voices clashed against one another as Erdrich tried to resist, but his alter-ego was already taking over his body and fighting against Blake with the full intention of killing him! But Blake didn't desire such an end for Erdrich, as he was a useful asset, and therefore, had to fight without the intention of killing. However, it wasn't as if Blake wasn't allowed to be rough against someone that showcased such a level of durability and strength as Erdrich!

"Alright, you've pissed me off, child."

Blake's words resonated as Erdrich, for a slight second, felt a chill down his spine! Even his alter-ego felt a slight shock of fear! It was Blake's Intimidation Skill at full potential, a presence so strong not even the half-demon was able to ignore! The half-demon looked at Blake in the floor, as he could swear to have seen an enormous shadow of a man that didn't even looked like Blake, a man with long silvery-white hair, sharp red eyes, and pale white skin, as pale as a dead corpse. His claws pointed at Erdrich, so menacingly and powerfully that it felt as if the authority of the sky itself was judging him!

This was… Blake's truest will, which was imbued within the [Intimidation] Skill to the point all of Erdrich's stats began to lower, he felt as if his strength was being drained away, and even his will to fight was slowly fading away.

"You've seen it now, haven't you? That's my true form, child."

"I… I WON'T FALL FOR YOUR TRICKS!"

The demonic voice of Erdrich's alter ego roared from within his monstrous transformed body, as yet another shockwave of demonic energy was unleashed. This time, Drake pointed his Gluttony spear at the shockwave and swung it with all his force!

SLASH!

A burst of red Blood Ki was unleashed in the shape of a slashing burst, clashing against Erdrich demonic energy shockwave, and hitting his body strongly!

BOOOM!

"U-Ungh?!"

The half-demon groaned, falling to his knees before the mighty attack, as Blake slowly walked towards him, looking down on him as if he were… not even a serious threat.

"Playtime is over."
