Chapter 218 Suck It Up, Bastard

Eleanora smirked maliciously back at the Gray Oni. His Aura was strong and it was almost trying to engulf her. The Gray Oni seemed to be a powerful Demon General who had already developed a high ranked Demon Aura, similar to Soul Auras, it allowed Demons to develop greater supernatural abilities, senses, strength, and magical power surpassing their peers. Demon Auras could even cause fear and paralysis to the targets it touched and engulfed, but Eleanora was not so easy to catch. She moved swiftly and right towards the village without even caring about his intimidation powers. The Gray Oni felt a sudden urge of panic, as he rushed towards her at an even faster pace, using his Demonic Aura to enhance his entire body's capabilities, including strength and speed!

FLAAAASH!

A ray of gray light was chasing down Eleanora at an even quicker pace, as she his powerful and overwhelming presence grow closer. The Gray Oni felt desperate the moment he watched her run incredibly fast, as if she didn't even weighted a single kilogram, to make things worse, she broke through the barrier he and other demons had erected without even flinching. Her own power was enough to breakthrough the barrier that could stop Giant Wild Boars!

"Stop right there, you woman!!!" Roared the Gray Oni, rushing closer to her, as his entire Gray Aura shaped itself in the form of a giant made of darkness! It was something similar to summoning a Spirit, but this technique was called…

"He can summon an Aura Spirit?!" Asked Eleanora in surprise. Aura Spirits were manifestations of a person's Soul Aura, they were shaped in the form of their innermost desires and could even develop special abilities and capabilities. They lacked many of the special things that the Spirits of this world had, and they were technically not alive, but merely a manifestation of a someone's soul! Nonetheless, they could extend the range of someone's power a lot! Blake had yet to develop some, even less Eleanora, so this Gray Oni really had an amazing advantage over the two.

BOOOM!!!

A giant gray fist hit the ground right behind Eleanora, leaving an enormous fist-shaped mark over the floor, it almost crushed her to death. If it wasn't because Eleanora still had a superior agility compared to the Gray Oni, she would had died right there and would need to revive after some time by Blake's Spirit Orb.

"You're a strong bastard, aren't you? But it is too bad I already got closer to where I wanted to." Said Eleanora. "Thousand Roses Storm!"

Eleanora didn't cared about being killed at all. In fact, she had come towards here for the entire purpose of crushing the Demon Gates with her sheer strength. She unleashed a powerful technique using her Spear, as a mirage of thousands of roses made of blood emerged all around the Gate, the Gray Oni was intimidated by the strange and foreign technique, instinctively stepping back only to see her completely destroy the Demon Gate through a rain of piercing spear attacks!

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

RUMBLE!

The powerful attack made not only the Gate break apart into boulders and pieces, but the entire magic circle was destroyed as well, destabilizing all the demonic energy and mana it had inside and making it all explode through the runes infused in the ground! All this gathered energy plus all the souls captured by the Gate flew out with a loud explosion, consuming Eleanora, and the Gray Oni nearby.

"YOU WHORE!!!" The Gray Oni resisted the powerful explosion as he rushed towards Eleanora, with his two fists enhanced by his Aura into gigantic Gray Fists, and about to crush her to death!

"Suck it up, bastard." Said Eleanora while giving him her middle finger, as the explosion of the Gate engulfed her alongside the Gray Oni before he could even hit her.

Knight Lukas changed since the day Blake helped him. He had undergone a rigorous training these last weeks, without even resting. He had not gone back to his home either. After what had happened in that day, he had grown with the intent of avenging his fallen comrades and kill as many Demons as possible. After it was reported to the Duke that the demons were continuing to grow more intelligent and cunning, he ended sending even more troops, a hundred experienced soldiers and several more knights to fill up all the emptied blanks by the massacre that happened that day.

While Blake continued with his life after that day, Lukas had changed. His mentality had become clearer, and his purpose as a knight was reinforced as he carried the wills of his fallen comrades. He trained day and night, and with his training and wits alone, he ended inspiring his comrades that survived. When the new soldiers and knights finally came to the village, he had changed a bit more, although he had not grow too strong, he had leveled up thanks to hunting many beasts with his knights. They hunted smaller groups of demons and continued cleaning the first and second layer… but they had yet to step in the dangerous third layer.

However, as the church of the Holy Spirits saw the threat of the demons, the High Priest Ellergest had decided to embark on a crusade. After a week of training, the entire group of knights, soldiers, and competent priests had decided to go into a crusade towards the forest' third layer, to find the den of the demons and using their overwhelming numbers and strength, destroy their menace once and for all. Way too many innocent people had been lost, and if things continued as they were… there would be no end to this conflict, which would slowly escalate into a nation-wide crisis.

Ellergest led the crusade with Lukas, driven after the recent events of hunters and children disappearing, they felt that they couldn't wait any longer. Today was the day they would strike back against the demons.
