Lukas rubbed his neck and gave Lily a playful glare. "I didn't realize that you were this thirsty."

"I-I apologize." Lily flushed hard as she wiped her lips. And yet she couldn't help but relish the taste of his blood on her lips.

Lukas on the other hand was a little surprised that Lily wanted to drink his blood–but was more than willing to provide it. If anything, there was something that popped up in the corner of his vision.

[Your Relationship With Lily Tenebris Has Improved Drastically!]

Between Vampires, the act of sharing blood is an intimate act done by couples. It's not often that a Vampire shares their blood with just anyone.

Lukas watched Lily lick her lips, and yet still have some blood remain on them–it was a rather sexy look that mixed in with her pure appearance. He couldn't help but reach out and wipe her lips with his thumb and chuckled.

"You doing good, Lily? You're still with us?"

"Don't tease me too much." Lily blushed, puffing her cheeks as she leaned and settled on stradling across his lap. She rested her head across his chest and sighed softly. "What do you like about me?"

"Huh?" Lukas' eyes blinked slightly at the question. "Shouldn't it be obvious? You're cute, Lily."

"Not only that, dummy!" Lily tucked her chin on his chest, looking at him straight in the eyes. She gave him a pout. "What do you really like about me?"

"Well… what do you like about me?" Lukas asked.

"I asked first!" Lily protested, but then slowed down a little as she glanced at his face and then smiled. "I like you for a lot of reasons."

"Such as my devilishly good looks?"

"No! I mean–yes, you're good looking, but it's much more than that." Lily pouted. "When you're with me, you treat me like I'm normal. Just like any other girl and not special–which I really like."

Lukas didn't have the heart to tell her that he didn't realize that there was something special about her. He really just assumed that she was someone who was working in the building like him.

"I thought girls like it when they're treated differently."

"I mean you do that too, you know?" Lily blushed slightly. "I… I had to ignore your advances for a while, but you're the type of person who doesn't seem to stop, right?"

Lukas broke into a laugh. "If it were anyone else, it might have been called work harassment you know? You must really like me if you think that's a good quality."

He had to be honest with himself–everything that he was doing was something that Lukas presumed to be what confident men do when trying to get women.

"No! You were not being pushy, you were just on the right level of politeness and flirtatious." Lily smiled. "I think you're very charming and you seem kind hearted despite it all."

"Kind hearted?" Lukas blinked. "I don't think that's a quality that most would aim for."

"I know, most men are supposed to be brave, tough and hardy–they shouldn't show any vulnerability at all. My father does a great job at that," Lily explained. "However, when he is at home, he shows that he cares and loves our family."

"Ah, I see…" Lukas smiled and tried to nod, but he couldn't quite remove the look on his face.

At first, Lukas presumed that the reason why he didn't want to meet Lily's family was a shallow thing. He just didn't want the idea and responsibility of meeting the Tenebris family and what it entailed.

However, Lily's assumptions were different.

Lily was aware of Lukas' background as an orphan and so she cupped his face gently and smiled. "You don't have to worry about not fitting in or being like an outsider at all, Lukas. I am positive that they will love you like I–like I like you."

Lukas' expression softened and he chuckled lightly. "You must really adore your family, don't you?"

"They're the best. I wouldn't have asked for any other family." Lily blushed, being honest and yet still trying to be considerate. She added. "If you want, you could be part of the family too."

"Are you asking for my hand in marriage so quickly?"

Lily's face burned and she thumped a fist across his chest. "No! I mean–my family loves this city a lot and that includes every resident that belongs here. I'm sure that they'll see you as a member of our family, because everyone is."

"That's a really big deal." Lukas blinked.

It was true–despite his appearance, Lawrence Tenebris absolutely cared about the well-being of the city of Lux. He placed it as his utmost priority and it was why Lily also did her best in serving the city.

Lily was positive that a family meeting would go well.

"Ah, do you hear that?" Lukas' ear twitched suddenly. He heard footsteps and he quickly cleared his throat. "Best to not be caught in such a promiscuous position like this."

"Oh you're right. Work hours are nearly done." Lily cleared her throat.

Lukas and Lily smiled and got up reluctantly–it was truly the end of the work and it was time for them to go home.

"I'll be going ahead now, Lily." Lukas didn't quite exactly kiss her in public yet–a bit wary if someone would accidentally spill the secret relationship they had, so he held her hand instead.

It was almost like a cross between a handshake and touching hands.

"O-oh, okay! Please have a safe trip on the way back home." Lily smiled. "Unless you're going somewhere else?"

"Ah, nah, I'm going straight home like a good boy." Lukas winked and then finally jogged off.

Most of the time, Lukas would have invited her out, but he had gotten used to her always needing to leave and so they bade each other goodbye.

After a couple of minutes, Lukas disappeared over the corner of the street as the smile slipped from Lily's face.

Lukas' reply left Lily a little bit disappointed because this time, her father was once again in another council meeting–so she was actually free enough to have joined Lukas.

"I guess it's time for me to head home myself." Lily whispered to herself, but as she spun around–she quickly met face to face with Lukas again.

"Huh?"

The 'man' reached out, covered her mouth and he dragged her back into the building.
