Chapter 423 423. ENTRANCE

"What is this?" Noah's voice sounded skeptical. His eyes scanned Erolia's figure from top to bottom and he swallowed hard.

"It's the closest to a magical armor that I know. Gramps had someone secretly make it."

"What don't you like it?" Erolia furrowed her brows inspecting the body armor she had on.

"It's not that," Noah replied furrowing his brows.

"You are well aware that we'll be amid tier 3's. Your armor is useless. One attack is all they need to end you. Only armor on that level can help you," he explained and saw fear flicker over her face.

He wouldn't hold back on reminding her how dangerous it was to follow him.

"Nevertheless you have me on your side. What we are about to do would be incredibly hard for someone other than me except they were past tier 3," he announced calmly even if his words carried pride.

"Ah... I see," Erolia muttered seeing the other enter the room. Their faces were somber and they soon came to surround her.

"I advise taking it off since it might weigh you down," Noah commented taking note of the metallic chest piece.

The armor looked nice, as it was mostly made of leather. However, the fact that it featured metal parts, made it disadvantageous to wear in battle.

Erolia furrowed her brows at his words, and so did the others, but she nodded and went in to change.

She soon returned with her normal attire, but she looked downcast about it.

"Don't forget we're going to rescue your brother I won't even take you with m if I knew him," Noah pointed out as Herald entered looking a bit worried.

They had a short conversation before Noah eventually considered it the right time to leave.

It was late into the night, and the stillness of silence filled the entire town as everyone had gone to sleep. That scene made Noah wonder what was going on in the Divine lightning city. It had been a while since he had been there last.

He figured when he left that town he would immediately return to the guild.

"Wish me luck," Erolia waved in a hushed tone while she went to meet Noah who already stood outside of their building.

The others peeked through the window, while only Herald came outside.

"What do we do now?" Erolia asked, lightly holding on to her cloak. It was a much shorter one than last time, which would allow her to move without worrying about it being caught in something.

She had her hood on, to hide her face.

"You just try not to puke. I'll do the rest," Noah muttered pulling her figure closer after which both of them vanished from the sight of the teens and the old man.

The event had startled them, but it only made gasps of astonishment exit their mouths.

Noah being the higher-stage cultivator that he was could bypass the sense of the guards just like he had done the other day.

He held Erolia close to his body with his right arm while making sure his mental wave protected her weak body from whatever damage it could receive from moving that quickly.

His and her figure eventually arrived in a spot southwest of the town.

Trees surround them as they had returned to thick vegetation, but a path of sorts existed before them this time around.

Noah could see the torches the two guards of the underground hideout hung to get clear visuals of their environment. They were pretty relaxed, however.

His figure crouched and although it took Erolia a few seconds to regain her balance she immediately crouched when she did.

"You'll do as I told you," Noah spoke in a hushed tone, and Erolia nodded with conviction in her eyes, but also excitement. She was bout to witness the might of Sir George.

Noah focused his gaze on the flaming torches in the distance, and couldn't help but notice that a barrier had been set around the close perimeters of the hideout.

He had noticed it the other day and had thought of ways to deal with it. Unfortunately, only one plan could come to mind even if it went against his desire to go in as silent as he could.

Due to his lack of expertise in other skills, only brute force could get him what he wanted, and since the barrier was only at the peak of the third stage, he could destroy it.

Noah took a deep breath before letting it out in one go. His surroundings instantly slowed down before his gaze.

Sparks tried to accumulate around his body, but Noah knew he wouldn't run so he suppressed them to not give away their position.

Glancing back at Erolia's still figure, whose gaze was still on the entrance in the distance, he shook his head and began to walk forward.

Having already gotten sued to his peak tier 3 power, thanks to the spars with the tier 4 dummies, Noah could simply stroll towards the hideout without suddenly running.

It took a lot of focus to not burst forth and only move at a seemingly normal pace. Not only did it exhaust his ficus, but it also tasked his core. However thanks to its expansive content, it was nothing.

Noah arrived at a certain point towards the entrance, and his instincts flickered.

Immediately halting his steps, Noah raised his palm, and watched a blue barrier flicker into existence.

It felt like a wall, one that would pose trouble to anyone who wasn't at his level.

"Here goes nothing," He muttered turning serious.

Noah raised his retracted his right arm as deep yellow parks began to flicker slowly around that limb. He was empowering it for the move to come.

When it felt like his empowerment had reached its peak, Noah unleashed the full might that arm could muster.

Immediately his fist connected with the blue wall of transparent light, he watched as crack spread forth, as they were quick even to his mind.

A wide smile shone on his face at that point. His attack had made no sound to hims since he was traveling faster than round could.

Noah moved forward. The guards had not even began to react to the crumbling barrier, so he had time to bash both their heads with cudgel, return to Erolia, pick her up and jump down the stabilized hole leading underground.

Everything had happened almost instantly. So much so that it wasn't until Noah had gotten inside the hideout that the leader was alerted of the destroyed barrier.

The next series of events would prove to hold even more shock of the man.
