Chapter 628 Trickster

Name:Undying Warlord Author:HideousGrain
"Now that the Gate has been claimed, we don't have to pay our whole attention to the conquest of the entire Gate's expanse. Instead, we can finally access the Gates of Thousand Realms and the Battlefield of the Ancient Gods. That is an exceptional gain we made…though at the expense of a handful of several injured powerhouses…that's quite problematic…" A young man, a human Demi God, said calmly seated on a large and comfortable chair.

The chair made a big contrast in the large emergency room that had turned into the meeting place of all Demi Gods and higher authorities of the three factions.

Rory was the representative of all monsters because she was their Lord, either way. However, there were a total of 20 human Demi Gods, of which nearly half were heavily injured.

Dilan and his family were also present, mostly because of Siegfried, who couldn't really be thrown out of the emergency room just because the other Demi Gods wanted to hold a general meeting the moment everyone regained their consciousness.

"As long as the Sun God doesn't attack it shouldn't matter whether we were injured or not. In fact, there won't be a problem even if the Sun God dares to attack the flying island.

I'm quite confident in the secret weapon of the Undying Group!" Sven exclaimed, raising his unscathed arm in joy before he winked in Dilan's direction.

It was almost as if Ben was trying to pave a way for his entrance.

But…that was not what Dilan wanted. He just wanted to become stronger, silently, without anyone bothering him.

Thus, he quietly went over to Ben as the other Demi Gods looked at Ben and the Demi Gods of the Undying Group in astonishment.

"What kind of secret weapon is he talking about? Why didn't we know about that?" The Demi God, called Wilhelm Star, asked in suspicion.

His eyes were sharp and his fair skin began to glow lightly. He had a narrow nose, small eyes, dark eyes, and black hair, but that was not the most important about him. He seemed arrogant and full of himself and he was trying to undermine the power of the Undying Group with everything he did.

That was something Dilan could tell immediately.

"If you tell him about me, your right arm will look and feel exactly like your left one…" He mumbled quietly, only for Ben to hear. The color in Ben's face disappeared and he sealed his mouth in an instant. His right arm was unscathed, but the same couldn't be said about his left arm. Right now, a medic was still trying to tend to his arm and reattach it in a way that would allow him to use it without restrictions just like before.

Dilan disappeared from Ben's side after he voiced out his threat and he appeared next to his sisters once again.

He winked toward Siegfried, who had seen what his uncle had done. A faint smile appeared on Siegfried's face and Dilan started to feel like he was going to enjoy this a lot, the situation right here and right now!

"We don't have a secret weapon," Yvonne said, as emotionless as she was during most general meetings.

Wilhelm Star frowned deeply when looking at Yvonne, and he had to take a deep breath not to throw an insult at the corpse-like appearance of the Necromancer.

"So you're saying that Ben is lying?" He responded but Yvonne just shook her head.

She pointed at Dilan, which pulled all attention to him.

"Ben is just talking about him. The leader of the Undying Group, Dilan Cier, returned to us after he disappeared 27 years ago to finish his advancement mission to the fourth Tier!" Yvonne explained in simple terms, introducing Dilan to everyone.

Dilan looked much younger than anyone in the room, but that was because he didn't age a single bit after he had entered the City of Trials.

He smiled lightly toward Wilhelm Star and bowed his head to be polite to the man, whom he presumed to have a rather conservative and traditional background.

"It's like Yvonne said. I was the leader of the Undying Group 27 years ago. I'm Dilan Cier, and I recently advanced to the fourth Tier," Dilan introduced himself, not intending to reveal much more about his identity.

There was simply no need for some stranger to know more about him.

"You…took 27 years to finish your advancement mission to the fourth Tier? Are you making fun of me? Show me your stats and level!" Wilhelm Star got up from his comfortable leather chair, his hands tightly grasping the daggers that were peacefully hanging at the scabbard on his belt.

Dilan didn't react seeing Wilhelm's reaction but Rory's eyes turned serpentine and her blazing dragon flames burst out from her arm as she stepped forward.

Flames exuded out of her breath and signs of her scales growing out of her skin could be seen.

"Calm down," Dilan said calmly with a faint smile on his lips.

'Is he enraged that the leader of the Undying Group returned, or afraid that I made a deal with some other races? If it's the latter he wants to see my stats to see whether or not a God gave me his blessing. That would mean I am very likely to be a traitor…' Dilan thought, wondering if Wilhelm Star's intention was good as his train of thoughts continued, 'But why do I feel like its more the former and the latter is just the reason he will make use of if I decline his <request>?'

It was easy to tell that Wilhelm star was a good trickster. He could make use of his words even if it looked like he was a fool at the first glance.

"I'm sorry but I don't have a Log of the Ancient, not anymore!" Dilan answered and a bright smile appeared on his face.

He was not lying because he customized his system to remove the Log of the Ancient.

However, that was not something anyone knew about.

Thus, Dilan was looked at with the exact same expression as most people in the room.

Even Rory turned to him with question marks in her eyes.

What bullshit was he blabbering about?!?
