Chapter 158 Interference of a Tiger

Name:Undying Warlord Author:HideousGrain
A total of Six Silver Wolves, more than 30 Deer-Bears and a blueish-brown colored Tiger stood facing each other.

Despite the intimidating roar of the Tiger, Dilan was unable to control his facial expressions.

He smiled brightly, while his heart was beating wildly. Adrenaline surged through his body and the desire to fight with his life on the line flared up.

It was no wonder that Dilan was excited. The Tiger’s height might only be one meter but the confidence with which it interfered in the battle of the Six Silver Wolves and the 30 Deer-Bears was more than enough to tell Dilan that the monster was strong enough to eradicate all of them.

The Tiger’s roar and the swift movements with which it moved were also a clear sign of its power.

Thus, Dilan was not even shocked when he saw that the Blue Tiger shot forward with a terrifying speed.

It crossed the distance of 100 meters in a second and emerged in front of the closest Silver Wolf at once.

The Silver Wolf had already been injured and was thus not in its peak state.

Thus, it could merely perceive a blue flash rushing past it before its sight blurred. The Tiger had slashed at the Silver Wolf, ending its life with a single strike.

“60?” Dilan merely mumbled, wondering if 60 was how high the Tiger’s Agility stat was.-.

He was actually not sure if the Tiger had such a high Agility stat because he was not able to see everything clearly.

Even to him, the Blue Tiger was blindingly fast, at least in a state where he had yet to use an ability to increase his speed.

With one Silver Wolf dead, only five slightly injured Silver Wolves were left behind.

However, instead of witnessing a massacre caused by the Blue Tiger that ended the lives of all Silver Wolves before its attention would switch to the Deer-Bears, a fight among equals seemed to be underway.

After all, the Silver Wolf Leader emerged next to the Blue Tiger all of a sudden.

The Silver Wolf Leader’s eyes were bloodred and so were its claws. From a silverish-black color, its eyes had turned blood red at the sight of its dying brethren, filling it with rage.

But that was not everything Dilan perceived. The Silver Wolf Leader’s speed had increased drastically while the other stats had only received a slight increase.

Slashing at the Blue Tiger, who had not expected a surprise attack, the Silver Wolf leader’s claw dug deep in the Tiger’s flesh…or at least that was what Dilan had presumed to happen.

Yet, instead of the predicted scenario, the bloodred claw of the wolf was not even able to reach the Blue Tiger’s fur. Gallons of water emerged around the Blue Tiger, engulfing it to form a protective armor.

The armor made out of water blocked the Silver Wolf leader’s attack. Simultaneously, the split second of time provided the Blue Tiger the necessary momentum to initiate a counterattack.

But the other four Silver Wolves had already surrounded the Blue Tiger, preventing it from attacking their leader without getting attacked themselves first.

Seeing the water armor, Dilan was momentarily dumbstruck. However, before he was able to perceive it in detail, the water armor exploded, sending huge splashes of water around and blocking everyone’s sight of what happened next.

Dilan’s eyes were fixated on the happenings around the Blue Tiger but even he was not able to see everything.

He could only hear pained roars and howls, followed by blood splattering through the surroundings.

When the water explosion finally calmed down and didn’t block his sight anymore, Dilan’s eyes widened.

Only two Silver Wolves were left alive, with one of them being the severely injured Silver Wolf leader.

However, oddly enough the Silver Wolf leader looked even stronger than half a minute ago! It had grown in size, while its fur turned a brighter shade of red on various spots on its body.

This attracted Dilan’s curiosity about what kind of power the Silver Wolf Leader had because the Blue Tiger seemed to have been hurt even more than the SIlver Wolf Leader!

The sight that unfolded right in front of him was truly unexpected but instead of feeling scared, Dilan’s eyes widened in excitement.

His hands were itching for a fight and the battlefield in front of him seemed to be perfect.

Being severely injured, the two strongest foes on the battlefield wouldn’t be able to make use of their superior stats. On the other hand, Dilan was confident that his Agility was higher than theirs as long as he kept the [Thunder Step] ability activated.

The more he thought about joining the fray, the deeper his grin turned. His smile was a terrifying sight, and every single member in Dilan’s group would instinctively back off the moment they would see his unnerving smile.

After all, they knew that nothing good would follow the moment Dilan smiled like a freak!

There was no hesitation in Dilan’s movement when he finalized his decision to join the fight.

His distance from the battlefield was quite a bit. He didn’t activate the [Thunder Step] ability directly but waited for the right moment.

Yet, just when he crossed the distance of more than a hundred meters in around two seconds, with his speed continuously increasing, and reaching its peak in no time, Dilan was able to perceive that the Deer-Bears had chosen to join the fray as well!

Just an hour ago they had been hunted by the Silver Wolves. However, right now, only two were left alive and both were severely injured.

Having the traits of a predator in their blood as well, the Deer-Bears had already been fighting against the Silver Wolves when they had been nine in total. They wouldn’t cower at the sight of a bloody fight even if their strength was evidently lower than the Silver Wolves.

However, right now, everything changed as all opponents in the proximity were bound to die due to their claws and teeth!

Roaring out in rage, the Deer-Bears attacked the weaker Silver Wolf first. It was not able to defend itself against the onslaught of 30 Deer-Bears, whose strength and speed now had an upper hand owing to the weakened state and the severe injuries caused to the Silver Wolf.

On the other hand, the Silver Wolf Leader and the Blue Tiger stood opposite each other, with killing-intent gleaming in their eyes.

Initially, the Blue Tiger had only attacked the Silver Wolves and Deer-Bears because of two reasons.

First, it wanted to reap the Essence crystals of all the existences around itself and didn’t feel any threats from most of the monsters.

There was only one existence that was worth noticing, which was the Silver Wolf Leader. It was standing tall in front of the Blue Tiger and was looking it in the eye fearlessly, which made the Blue Tiger oddly interested in its opponent.

And that was because of the ability the Silver Wolf Leader owned. The ability of the Silver Wolf Leader allowed it to momentarily gain extreme strength in exchange for losing its intellect for the duration of the strengthened state.

Thus, the Silver Wolf Leader solely relied on its wild instincts to fight against the Blue Tiger, who was able to use its low level of intelligence.

It was this intellect, which allowed the Blue Tiger to survive, while the Silver Wolf Leader succumbed to the fate of a beast, which had lost all its reasoning!
