69 On heavens, he knew

Neera sighed and looked away from him. There was no need to think of these sad things, the more she thought about them, the sadder she became. Neera wanted to turn and leave the bed quietly, but just as she turned, she felt a hand move over her waists and pull her. In the next second, she was face to face with Zavian, his breath fanning her face.

Neera’s heart almost jumped out of her chest as she looked up at his face to see that he was still sleeping.

Did he pull her out of reflex? She asked herself as she stared at him.

His eyelids were relaxed and his breath was still even and she knew he was sleeping.

What would she do now? How would she leave?

Neera asked herself but then she realized something else. She was not putting on her clothes from yesterday!

Neera looked down at herself and could not recognise the strange clothes, and she got more confused.

Did Zavian change her clothes himself? What happened to her?

Did he...

.....

Her eyes widened as the thought entered her mind but she quickly shook of the thought. She heard that the first time was mostly painful, but she was not feeling any pain whatsoever, so he did not touch her. But how did she get out of her clothes?

Neera didn’t know what to think. The fact that Zavian was pinning her to him, or the fact that she was about to lose her mind.

Neera was still thinking of what to do, when suddenly his hand began to move. The clothing she was putting on was silky and short, so as he moved, it riled up.

Neera’s heart banged against her chest as she quickly held his hand, stopping him. He was obviously acting in his sleep, as he stopped immediately she held his hand.

Neera wondered how terribly he must have longed for his wife to want her even in deep sleep.

Zavian stopped moving when her hand came over his, but then he leaned to her and hugged her, nestling his head on her bosoms.

Neera’s face turned red instantly when she realized what had just happened.

She was on the bigger breast size for her body. It was not too large for her body, but it was quite noticeable in her clothes.

The person who changed her clothes had untied the wraps for her boobs, leaving her naked underneath the flannel. So when Zavian lay on her chest, he was lying on her bare breasts.

Neera did not know what to do as her nipples hardened against her will. She knew more than anything that she shouldn’t just stay still but she did not know what to do.

Should she wake him?

she thought as she raised her hand, fighting within herself whether to tap him or not. But just when she decided to wake him, there was a loud knock on the door.

Zavian moved when he heard the knock and then he opened his eyes. When he saw the position he was in, he stood up immediately.

Neera’s face was still beet red as she stood right after him and greeted him, her eyes lowered.

Zavian stared at the girl and he mentally cursed at himself. He had been sleeping and did not know when he hugged her in that manner, she was avoiding his gaze and he wondered how long they had been in that position.

Clearing his throat, he stood up from the bed;

“You’re awake, how are you feeling?” He asked softly, and Neera touched her head.

Her headache had reduced a bit and she was awake, so she was fine.

“I’m fine, ” she replied.

“You fainted yesterday, so I had a few maids change your tight clothings.”

Zavian spoke and Neera mentally heaved a sigh of relief. For a second there, she thought he had seen her nakedness.

Well, he had, she looked exactly the same as his wife, so he technically had.

“Thank you, your majesty.” She said. She had been fine all this while, what made her faint all of a sudden?

Neera wondered. There was a brief silence before the knock came again on the door and Zavian walked to it.

Outside stood the physician with a box. When Zavian saw him, he moved to the side.

The physician had questions written on his face when he saw the girl still lying on Zavian’s bed, but he knew better than to open his mouth to speak.

“Good morning your majesty, ” he greeted.

“I came to check on the girl and bring her medicines.” He said, placing the box on a stool.

Zavian nodded and left the room, giving them privacy.

“How are you feeling?” he asked Neera as he walked to her and touched her forehead. Her fever had run low and her face was no longer pale.

“I am fine,” Neera replied with a strained smile. It might be nothing to Zavian but she did not like that someone else saw her wake up on his bed. There was a lot to think about in that situation, and she did not want rumors to start to spread again, especially now that the Princesses were here.

“What happened? How did you faint?”

The physician asked and Neera shook her head;

“I do not know, I was just going back to my room when I fell down and passed out.”

She explained and he nodded.

“It is fine, it must be stress. I brought medicines to help you feel better. Take one cup of each of them, in the morning and at night.”

He explained and Neera nodded. After checking her pulse, he left the room.

Neera stood up immediately and carried the box and walked towards the door, not wanting to stay there for an extra second. As she walked out, she saw Zavian, and then she bowed;

“I want to return to my room.” She said, her head lowered.

Zavian blinked and waved at her, letting her leave. Going back into his room, he brushed his hands through his hair, in frustration.

He had tried to deny it but as the days went by, it became more real. The more he stayed around this woman, the harder it became for him to control himself.

He knew it was not her. On heavens, he knew. So why was he still drawn to her?
