Chapter 263 263: Part 1: The Glade Wars VIII

Cole ignored the notifications he has been receiving and made his way out of his territory again, moving fast enough that he would not be tied down by any of his subordinates. The area outside of his territory was now filled with trees and multiple mounds of stone and ores.

Cole reckon that perhaps the resource nodes had also been absorbed into his own, without a doubt his would either grow in size and variety, or it would grow in grade. And that usually means size and variety would be involved.

The one thing he could be thankful about for his call with his family was that he was now driven. He wanted to make something of himself and. By his own power, honestly he wasn't even sure he could do it. With each and every step that he ticks off, he realizes just how monumental a task is in front of him, building a territory up can't be easy, a d as the scope of his territory increases so does the scope of the work that needs to go into it. But Cole had a plan.

First he was going to conquer all these glades and assimilate them into his territory. Then he would level whatever the fuck they have become at once, making sure he had all the facilities he needed. So that he would not be stuck trying to level a low level facility when the rest of his territory were at a higher grade. Then he would isolate his territory as much as possible and try to work on it and increase the size of his forces. He would do all of these in secret or as secretly as possible considering everything he does is somehow still being streamed.

But he would focus on his immediate plans first, once he was done with that, then he would take a look and see what his notifications held for him. By then everything would be consolidated and presented to him in a neat little bow and he without a doubt he would achieve a level, and with that level up, there would be a racial upgrade, but beyond that was also the influx of stats. Cole was no fool, he knew by the time this damn conquest event was over…..every stat he owns, with perhaps the except of soul, would be in the Gold rank, and once that happens…..he would be unstoppable.

He broke into a light jog, which was still extremely fast for a normal person as Neral followed close behind him. When he came out of the barrier he was introduced to a scene not hundreds of people at the border all looking confused, many of them did not pay attention to him, as he made his way towards the Easter Glade. He knew these were the aspirants of the Western Glade, with it now defeated they were essentially refugees, so they would either have to be taken in by the east or Glade Solitude , but that wasn't his problem. He's send a message to Farida and Cassandra to test them and try to recruit the best amongst them, but not just in combat but intellectuals able to build, invent and push society forward in whatever field of study there were most conversant in.

As he ran past the crowds, based on what he was hearing, he was thankful that none of them recognized me. While Cole's armor was unique, most of the people here were still from the second floor and have not gone to the fourth. So there has not been much chance of people changing their gear, sot he western wild west outlast/bounty hunter theme was still very much prevalent. He blended in easily as was moving last the throng of bodies with more ease than most, from the looks of things it seems some of the aspirants have been resurrected.

But it doesn't seem like there's .a darkling amongst them, so none of the twelve he had obliterated. Eventually he got to the eastern Glade, and at a sight there were ready for him, well not for him, but for anyone at all who had any plans of getting in. There were rows upon rows of aspirants in front of the boundary, each and every single one of them armed to the teeth, with no intention of letting anybody else through.

Cole could see through the boundary that those of them still left inside were busy fighting and trying to end onslaught of darklings that seemed to be pouring out of multiple directions. Then Cole remembered something, there were supposed to be 5 nests, but theirs seemed to have combined, that also seemed to be the same issue with the western Glade, or perhaps the circumstances surrounding theirs was different so they were still allowed into the event.

But with the stream of darklings from multiple points of origins, Cole could tell that this Glade had left more than one nest active, and now they were paying the price. But Cole was still able to notice that they had it under control, whoever was in charge of this place was a tactical genius. He or she cordoned off the entrance to keep people out, then utilized a similar switch and attack method as Cole had once used with how own Glade when they took the fight to the darkling nest.

However this was more efficient, no watered movement and every one worked as a single cohesive unit. It was as if what Cole was seeing wasn't a Glade of aspirants, but rather an army, a well trained and cohesive army. Now the question was whether their tactics would help them weather the storm or….. the endless horde of darklings will bring them down.

Well who knows, but Cole was not the kind of person that wanted to stay back and find out. So he squared off his shoulder and with an air of arrogance walked past the other people trying to get in and stopped a few steps away from one of the Eastern Glade aspirants.

"My name is Cole 'World Breaker' Raen and I have come to conquer your Glade! Get out of my way….or die!"
